Hello all:
My wife has a Nikon Cool Pix camera that uses SD cards. The images are on the card as far as I can tell (can view them on the LCD of the camera). But when I plug the card into my computer nothing appears.
Anybody have any clues?
I'm thinking of running to Walgreens to just see if I can print the pictures there, because now I'm starting to get worried.

Are you using a built-in card reader on your computer? Have you tried pulling pictures off the camera by hooking the camera up to the computer with its USB cable? Reason I ask is that my desktop's built-in card reader stopped working a long time ago, but downloading via an external reader or the camera itself works fine. I would suspect its the card reader at fault if you can still see the images on your camera. Good luck!

If the camera has an internal memory, they may be there vs the card. I would try connecting the camera directly to the computer.

I was thinking the same thing.
Try to view the pictures but without the card in the camera. If they are there, than you saved them to the camera's internal memory. If it says that there are no images available, they are on the card and would try a different computer or at least a different card reader.

Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out my card readers couldn't handle the 4gb card. Bought a new external card reader and it worked
