Just wanted to say that we splurged on a facial at the GF spa last week and it was such a great investment!!

It was a little over $100 for 50 minutes (either $106 or $109, not including gratuity).

This was the first time I've ever had a facial. I've had massages, but only in someone's home, not in this kind of setting. My therapist, Michelle, made me feel very comfortable, and the treatment was great!

I'd be happy to answer any questions if you'd like more details. I also picked up a price list and description of services.

Glad you enjoyed it! How were the products that they used?

I thought the products were great. I can't remember the name of them, but they're natural products (no animal products). They're pretty expensive (and I use kind of high-end products) though, but they felt really good. My skin is on the dry side and the products really hydrated my skin.

They gave me a checklist afterwards of the products they used, and in the lobby, there was a tray with my name on it and all the products they used. (I didn't purchase any.) We noticed that my therapist used a lot more products on me than my friend's therapist did on her. I really liked my therapist (Michelle), she explained what she was doing, which products she was using, and what was in the products.

FYI - the products they use are from the Jurlique line. I also loved the facial, mine was the aromatherapy one. I was so relaxed during the process, that I don't think I heard one thing my therapist said to me. The soft music and those wonderful smells, oh I miss it already.

Glad to hear your GF Spa experience was so great!!!

I tried posting this question on a thread, but no one responded. Has anyone ever tried any of the GF Spa's couples treatments?

Just looking for feedback.

Thanks!!!

Giving this a bump for JonHM.

I've heard great things about the couples massages on the Disney Cruise, but haven't heard anything about GF.

I can give you a description though (and they don't sound as um, "interesting" as the Disney Cruise ones!)...there are only two in the brochure, a "Grand Romantic Evening" which is basically where you each receive a massage (50 or 80 minutes, $242 or $320) or the Couples Instrucitonal Massage (180 minuts, $298).

That is great to hear!! My bday was on 9/2 and DH and DS reserved a 50 minute Sweedish Massage at GF during our trip next month and I can not wait!! When we were there over Mothers Day this year, they got me the same thing along with a French Body Polish at DI and that was excellent!!

We are starting off our morning with breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and then I get to go off for some pampering!! I can not wait!!

Glad your expierence was so wonderful!! :)

For those of you who are going to GF Spa for the first time, I just wanted to add that they have shower facilities (even disposable razors, etc!), and a sauna and jacuzzi. For my treatment (a facial) it was recommended that we wait at least 30 minutes before using the sauna or jacuzzi. We wished we had scheduled our appointment later (we called to make an appt less than 2 hours ahead), and that we knew ahead of time about the sauna and jacuzzi, then we could've done that before having our treatment.

Have a great time!

I have had several treatments at the GF spa, and one was better than the next. I've had facials, massages, the baths are fabulous, the marine algae wrap is heavenly. Manicures and pedicures are great too. The atmosphere is so relaxing. My DH booked me a spa day as a surprise a few years ago, and I have been going back ever since. One thing I have found out is that there is no discount if you book one of their packages. You are paying the same for each treatment that you would if you booked them separately (I had thought that it was a special price). You also get to use the fitness center there along with the sauna and jacuzzi for the day when you are a guest of the spa.

Thanks!!! I've had just about all of the GF Spa treatments, and I finally got to try the Couple's Massage back in July! It was very, very nice. Low lit, candle lit room, with 2 separate therapists - just wonderful!

Is there an online listing of the spa treatments that are availabel?

How far in advance can you book?

DH and I just returned from an Alaskan cruise. We both had hot stone aromatherapy massages. While mine was wonderful, his was not that great. I'm thinking that maybe a couples massage or a massage for him and facial for me might be in order!

Oops! Another question!

With the couples massage, are you both in the same room? I understand that there are 2 massage therapists - one for each of you, right?

Does the facial involve deep cleaning as in the whiteheads? It can be painful.
