View Full Version : Did you miss me??
I hope so. I'd love to say I thought about you all while I was away, but, that wouldn't be true, too busy having fun. We had a great time on our 9-day WDW vacation. The Beach Club Villas are great! I love Storm-along Bay. What a great swimming pool.
We met Beth (Beauty), John (her dh), John-Cole (her very, well-behaved 10 y/o son), and Dootsie (her mom); Brandie (Scarlett) and her dh, Matthew; and Jay (Jaypd) and his wife, Stacy. We took an Illuminations Cruise on 9/10. It was a blast!
Did the annual passholders 100 years questionnaire at MK and got at cute 5x7 photo of us. It was hard, but fun. Took us one day from 9-3 and two other days here and there. Lots of questions, lots of fun, met lots of people and some very nice cm's. If you have time, and are an ap holder, you should do this, it makes you look at the park in a whole new way.
We got home last night at 12:30 a.m., and man, and I tired. I will start posting my trip report later this week after I do laundry :( !
I'll be on most of the Dis most of the day (boss is gone and left me very little to do), so, if you have any questions, just ask.
I don't really have that "post-vacation" blues yet. That's probably because we are taking the girls the first week of January. Just 3 1/2 months to go!!!

Welcome home. It sounds like it was a blast. I do have a question...Wher would you recommend staying in the Beach Club Villas? We leave on Saturday and I have no idea which building or room to ask for.

We sure did miss you. Welcome back!
Sonya, we lost track of how many Kaki Gori's we had. We'd go from MK to MGM via Epcot, just to have one. Love them!!
Shannon, sorry, flying again, so can't stop by and pick you up. Can you jump real high? If so, I'll save you a seat.
gemmie214: We stayed in a studio, room #240. Just a view of the road. It was on the back side, facing Epcot. If we'd been higher, and farther down the hall, I think the view of Epcot would be great. I don't know the other room numbers. I meant to check out the good views, but just ran out of time. I'd ask for an upper floor room (five floors, I think) with an Epcot view. Occupancy was way down, so they were easily granting room requests.

Welcome back, tc.
dizneenut: Night of Joy was a blast. Initially, we weren't having a good time. There was a ton of people and no way to get close to any stage. There were three areas where there were concerts. The castle foreground stage, the stage in Tomorrowland, and a stage set up in Adventureland. Once we figured out where the stages were, and who we wanted to see, we were able to really enjoy ourselves. We ended the night watching Michael W. Smith at the castle stage. It's so great to worship with so many people; everyone singing the same songs. Then we waited for the crowds to clear, and headed out. Back at our hotel at 1:30 a.m. What a great way to start our vacation!
Shannon, I'll keep an eye out for you. I'll be sure to get a window seat, k?

Welcome back! Thanks for the AP quiz tip. I hadn't heard of that. Sounds fun.
docrafiki: You pick up the questionnaire in the Exposition Hall. It is a lot of fun. I hear it runs through October, but I'm not sure. I hope they do it through January so we can get the second picture with our whole family. Have fun if you do it.
