ok..I'm sure this is posted a lot on this board. But here goes... :D

I have the following:

Canon PowerShot SD1000
Canon PowerShot S3IS
Canon Rebel T2i

I just got the DSLR and love it (obviously). I'm looking to replaced the SD1000 and the S3 IS with something in between to take when the DSLR is too big. I know - for some of you the DSLR is never too big...but I'm not quite there yet...plus my husband wants something he can carry. So I like the size of the P&S (SD1000) but the pictures - YUCK! The S3IS takes pretty decent pictures, but it is approaching the size of the T2i.

Is there something that is a compromise between the two?

Thanks for any tips!

the Canon S95 is pocket size and from what I've seen excellent image quality

Another pretty good p and s that is worth considering and maybe slightly less expensive than the S95 is the Sony HX5V.

I just got the PowerShot SX210IS for Christmas and love it! It is super compact, but with the 14X optical takes a great picture. I also have a Canon DSLR and love it, but found I was taking less pictures because it was a hassle to lug around and pull out in certain situations.

Hope you find what you are looking for! :)
