Yikes, hoping some of you experts can help!! I took my niece to an aquarium yesterday, where she got some GREAT pics.

Kids have off from school today, so she was looking at some of the photos and "accidentally" hit delete (??). She just called me, hysterical crying, to see what she can do.

I recall reading somewhere that deleted images MAY be recovered, if the card has not been formatted. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is there a program I can download?

Any recommendations you can give will be very appreciated (and make a very sad little girl happy)!!

There's a pretty simple and effective little tool that comes free with a lot of higher end CF memory cards called 'Rescue Pro' - it's also available for free download online - just google the name. It works - I've used it in the past to recover deleted photos. As long as the card hasn't been formatted, and also noone has tried to use the card to take new photos, you should be able to recover everything...if any photos have been taken on the card, you may not be able to recover all, as some may have been written over, but still some can usually be recovered.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Please let us know how you get along with the recovery. Reading your post I got a hint of that feeling I had when it happened to me. I stood and stared at the LCD in horror and didn't know what to do :sad1:

I will! I feel so bad for my niece...she was crying on the phone while explaining what happened. I almost want to take her back to the aquarium so she can just re-take the pictures ;)

Just make that the memory card is out of the camera. Once the images are written over with new images, you won't be able to recover them.
