Guess what! Guess what! The coolest thing happened at the mall today! I started to get suspicious that something was going on when I spotted no less than 3 little girls in the parking lot dressed as princesses. It's a bit early for Halloween. Anyway, as soon as I walked into the mall and started to head towards the Disney store, I noticed there was a whole long line of children in mostly Disney costumes! I wondered what the heck is going on?? A character greeting or something? But there were no actual characters around. It turns out that it was a costume parade to promote the Disney on Ice show that's in town! Oh the children were just adorable! Tons of princesses, a handful of princes, some Peter Pans and Captain hooks, among others. There was even a toddler in a pink shirt and purple leggings. Know who she was supposed to be? Boo from Monsters Inc! lol. But the best part- Mary Costa was there!! (you know- the original Sleeping Beauty!) Oh she was just charming- as wonderful with the children as Sleeping Beauty herself would be at WDW. I got to talk to her afterwards, wishing I had known to bring something for her to sign. She told me to write down my address for her and in a few weeks she'll send me a nice signed picture instead of the flimsey piece of paper with her bio on it that I was going to have her sign. Mary lives right here in Knoxville, but this is the first time I've met her. :)
