View Full Version : Ground Transfers from Port to WDW-What to expect?

Just a mother/daughter trip on the Dream and we've booked DCL ground transfer to WDW after the cruise. We've always used other transportation, and I'm wondering what to expect re: procedure, timing to the resort (ASM), etc.

It is an easy process. Once you get through customs, follow the signs and instructions from crew to the Disney Bus transportation area. Tell them you are going to WDW and they will put you on a bus and as soon as it is full, it leaves. It is about a 45 minute drive from the port to WDW.

Basically as above--put luggage out last night. Reclaim in terminal in color/character coded area. Porters readily available if needed. Go thru Customs and exit terminal (still with porter if used). CM will be at podium, identify that you are going to WDW and specify which resort, show KTTW card (the fact that you have purchased transfers will be coded on card). Go to bus that she specified, and you're on your way as soon as bus is full. Luggage will go in the underneath compartments of the same bus you are on.

Wasn't sure if we needed to get our luggage or if it was handled like DME...now I know. Thank you both for the help! :thumbsup2
