that you've never done before?

When I go in May, it will be trip #37 or something like that and I have still never been on some of the rides or seen some of the shows.

When I go in May I want to:
see the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
watch the MK fireworks from my room at CR or the beach
see the parade at AK
Get a drink in each monorail resort bar (the Poly looks super cute)
swim in Stormalong Bay (staying at BCV for part of the trip... last trip I was at YC and cold weather prevented us from using the pool)
see the Finding Nemo Musical
Ride TOT 13 times in one trip

How about you guys? What stuff do you want to do next time that you've never done before?

Ride Toy Story Mania (http://www.dadsguidetowdw.com/toy-story-mania.html). We haven't been there since it opened.

We are going to do Fantasmic. I haven't gone in over 50 trips and the rest of the family hasn't because I've never made time. That is the one MUST.

I love the idea of doing TOT 13 times in one trip.

That sounds like fun!

I want to go on another tour on our next trip. Still have to decide which one.

MK: ride the riverboat, and visit Tom Sawyers Island
AK: see the parade, and do the jungle trek
EP: see the circle vision at Canada, and the show at the American pavilion
HS: One Man's Dream

Humm..Thanks for the idea. I need to make a list of stuff we missed on our last trip...This trip I know I want to spend more time at the resort. Last trip we were barely there. We're staying at the BC. One night we'll do Cape May for dinner, swim (of course) then a movie by the beach. I know it sounds simple, but I cant' wait. I love Disney vacations, but there is so much to do I feel like we don't get any family quiet time. Oh, and this trip I better not see much of DH's Blackberry!

Try new restaurants at Epcot. (haven't decide which yet)
Go to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon for 1st time.
Take my youngest child to see Fantasmic for the 1st time.
Try an ice cream cookie sandwich from Main Street Bakery.
Try different candies from the different countries at Epcot.
Try a Dole Whip
Ride the spaceship ride in Tomorrowland (my brain can't remember the name)
Those are just a few that jump to my mind right off; I'm sure my list could be loooong if I put some thought to it.

Can't wait to get ideas from others!

At MK we will be discovering Tom Sawyer Island and at EPCOT working on a Kim Possible Mission.

All the things the kids wanted to do but weren't on "the agenda" on our last visit.

We haven't seen Fantasmic since 2005 so I really want to catch it this time. I also think that we need to finally visit Tom Sawyer Island.
A trip to the Wilderness Lodge is in order since we have never been their, either.

We made up a "bucket list" before our Nov. trip of all the things we had never seen or ridden. We got in about half of them on that trip and plan to do the rest in May. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the things I had avoided because I was not interested in them. The riverboat was really good and the American Exibit (the show inside the American Adventure at Epcot) was really good. I did not like Stitch but my DH did. We also rode the people mover which was O.K.

There's a load we haven't done yet and these are some we plan to do on the next trip:

Big River Grille
Get something from the Main Street Bakery

Otherwise... I want to eat at the castle and ride Mission Space. There are other things I'd like to do, but those 4 top my list for the next trip.

I would love to "stop and smell the roses" on this trip. But every time I say that, I always end up touring commando style, rushing from one thing to the next. :rotfl:

MK: visit Tom Sawyer Island and the Main Street Bakery
EP: browse the shops in World Showcase and drink a margarita
HS: One Man's Dream and get a cupcake from Starring Rolls
AK: finally get the kids to the petting zoo when it's open and convince my husband to ride Expedition Everest (I'd like to add Kali River Rapids, but I'm not sure that I want to get wet in February!)

I always try to do at least a few new things each trip. This trips list is:

American Experience in World Showcase

Character breakfast at CP ( we have never done a character meal and I am more excited than my kids!!)

Behind the Seeds tour

Not a WDW thing, but we are going to a manatee viewing area since we have never been in Florida during their migration:thumbsup2

We leave in 15 days and there are many "firsts" we have planned! :thumbsup2
One of my favorite things about planning is making sure it's a totally different trip than the last one, but includes all of our favorites.
Here's a short list of things we will be enjoying for the first time:

MK:
Jungle Cruise, Pirate's League for the little guy, Toon Town, Tiki Room (if it's up and running?), Country Bear Jamboree, Splash Mountain, Carousel of Progress, and dinner at Crystal Palace

EP:
Living in the Land, Ellen's Energy attraction, Maelstrom, and the Mexico boat ride, dinner at Via Napoli, and eating/drinking CS and snacks throughout the World one afternoon

DHS:
Jedi Training, appetizers at Sci Fi Diner, and possibly ToT with my youngest. I'm such a wimp, I don't know if I can handle it.

AK:
Parade

Misc:
Staying at Coronado Springs
Flying back on JetBlue
A couple other new TS for us, but I still haven't made my final decision yet.

Every year we go, we try to do something different. As our kids get older and we spend more time in the parks, we are able to see more each trip. Last trip we were able to knock off Dole whips and Enchanted Tiki room off of our list.

Next trip, we would finally like to go to Tom Sawyer Island.

Next trip, my 'firsts' would include (hopefully?!):

-stay at a new resort
-eat at Narcossee's (celebratory dinner just DH & I)
-finally take a Keys to the Kingdom tour!! (been trying to do this for 3 trips now)
-try the Kim Possible adventure at Epcot

I figure since we are doing a cruise on the Dream in the same trip, 4 new things at WDW is more than enough!! :goodvibes

- Jedi Training Academy for DS
- Star Tours
- Muppets 3D
- Fantasmic
- Journey Into the Imagination

The kids will be PUMPED because we're going to hit both water parks this trip!! They really started paying attention to the water parks on the resort stations this past trip. We're using the military tickets, and water parks are included. Since there are only four park entries, we'll actually be forced to take the time. I'm super excited, though. Eight months to get this bod (somewhat) water park ready!! ;)

My next trip won't be booked until the Fantasyland Emancipation is completed. Sorry, Expansion. :cutie:

Other than that, what else... um, there are oodles of new eateries to try. Via Napoli, Pollo Campero, some Babycakes NYC lovin' (I do enjoy the one here in the city!), La Hacienda de San Angel.

And of course, the ubiquitous Victoria & Alberts, Citricos, Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Lounge.

Oh lots of food... And of course, a return to Universal for more butterbeer and Hogwarts fantabulousness.

We really want to try the waterparks. On our last trip, they were on our route and just peeking at them from the bus made us wish we could go!

I am also extremely excited to try the new Space Mountain. I never did get to try the old one as it was either broken down or in the middle of the renovation on our last trips.

We for sure want to do the rope drop at MK. We had hoped to have done it on our last trip, but we never made it. Still have yet to hit one of the water parks. We want to go around the holidays on our next trip. See all the lights and decorations. Park hop more. We seem to really only park hop one day. The other days we usually just stay at one park all day. And if we can get a good deal. Stay on-site.

I am taking four people; my neighbors (husband and wife), their roommate and his girlfriend.

Ironically, we have been planning since last year, but the husband just found out he is being deployed to Afghanistan in May and will get back about 8 - 10 days before we go. They are all over the moon about sharing the experience, but even more since it will mean so much to them.

I can't think of any rides I want to ride that I haven't already done. I mostly want to get a few of the Disney books and check out the detail of the place, I have walked around and admired the detail before but the books seem to give more of the history and back story behind the incredible detail.

Besides we may be taking a newbie next time so this will give me a chance to relive some of the rides that I haven't done it a while.

We always say we are going to watch the fireworks from the beach at Poly while sipping drinks from the bar so I'd like to do that.

I'd also like to go to Ft. Wilderness and watch the campfire movie...something else we always say we'd like to do.

We are going in April so the weather should be nice enough to try and do both, esp. if parks are crowded.

Ride Toy Story Mania. We haven't been there since it opened.
And see the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom.

Excellent choices!

We are going the end of October. I've been to WDW so many times, I've lost count. Some things we've never done that we want to try this time are:

1) doing a monorail drink tour
2) breakfast at the Crystal Palace before the park opens so I can be on Main Street with practically no one on it
3) the character drawing session in the World of Animation building in DHS (been reading some great comments about this on the DIS.)
4) Finding Nemo show in AK
5) Eat an ice cream sandwich from Main St. Bakery (also heard great things on the DIS)

Our next trip will be our first during the holidays and to say I am excited would be the understatement of the century!

I am looking forward to seeing the resorts dressed up for the holidays, MVMCP, Osborne Lights, Jingle Jungle Parade, Castle Lights, The holiday tag at the end of Illuminations, Candlelight Processional, Holidays around the world at World Showcase, a sleigh ride at Ft Wilderness, trying a new signature restaurant, staying at our home resort (AKV) for the first time, eating at Boma and Via Napoli......WHEW!!! That's a lot to look forward to & I can't wait!!!

The Hall of Presidents. DH always says, "Yeah, yeah, we'll circle back and do it" but we never do.

Next Trip Want-to-do's

+ Try a Lapu Lapu at the Polynesian bar
+ Rent a Cabana at the Polynesian volcano pool and relax for 1/2 day
+ Eat at O'hana (stayed a the Poly a ton of times and never eaten there)
+ Wishes Dessert party (if it's still going in September)

Get a drink in each monorail resort bar (the Poly looks super cute)

That sounds like a GREAT IDEA - I'm adding it to the list

And to everyone who said "Try a Dole Whip" - you will not be disappointed!! Tried it for the first time on the last trip and it was WONDERFUL!

And someday, some trip - I want to
+ Eat at Cinderella's Table
+ See Rope Drop at Magic Kingdom
+ Go to Mickey's Very Merry and see it snow on Main Street
+ Stay Club Level at the Polynesian
