View Full Version : Beating the Winter Blues - I Hate When That Happens! 21/4

I've read that some of the best ways to beat the winter blues are to exercise, eat a healthy diet and get some sun. Welp...I'm not big on exercise and there's no point even discussing my diet and as far as getting some sun while living in Canada during the winter means I'm practically doomed :headache:

Not this year!!!!

I'm going to WDW

This will be my first trip to the world during the winter months. Our last three trips have been in August during free dining and I can't tell you how excited I am to experience the parks during cooler temperatures.

My winter trip also includes some "firsts" for me. This will be the first time I've gone on vacation without my DH. It will be just me and my oldest DD JoJo and her best friend, who by the way, has never been before!

Some of you may remember me from previous trip reports but for those who don't I'll post my introductions in my next installment.

There have been some big changes for the "Blue" clan over the last year which I'll also get to at a later date!

As I mentioned in my previous post there will be three of us going on this trip.

Me (Blue): A forty-something :teeth: Mama of two loving daughters and numerous pets! Oh yes...we've added to the pet department :rolleyes1

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/Introduction/1.jpg

JoJo: A total Disney freak - not that there's anything wrong with that but it can be annoying at times :sad2: currently employed as a Dog Stylist. Sometimes a little over the top and a mildly obsessive at times but I wouldn't trade her for the world

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/Introduction/jo.jpg

JoJo's best friend: I haven't given her an alias yet so for now she'll be known just as the BF - not to be confused with boyfriend. Said BF has been friends with JoJo as far back as public school and this will be her first trip to Walt Disney World :woohoo:

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/Introduction/Steph.jpg

You may be wondering why my DH and youngest DD are not going on this trip and I'll get to that soon or you can find out by reading JoJo's PTR although the facts may be somewhat distorted :rolleyes1 just sayin'

I like the dueling reports with you and JoJo. It is fun to see two sides of the same story.

BFF it is!!! Good thing I have a lil helper :thumbsup2

I imagine those two will go off on their own at times as well so we'll have different stories to tell.

I'm reaquainting myself with the DIS and photobucket and finding myself a wee bit slow. Sheesh - that's what happens when you stay away too long.

I'm sooooooo NOT ready for this trip!!!

For our last three trips, I was packed and ready to go far ahead of schedule but this time around is different. I've been too busy and left everything till the last minute. :sad2:

I haven't packed a thing! As a matter of fact, I still need to borrow a suitcase from my Dad which I hope to get on Wednesday. I need to dig out a few summer shirts and try to find my bathing suit. Our WDW package has not arrived yet and we need that for the luggage stickers......waaaaaaaaaaaa! Oh and go to the bank to take out my American money. Then there's the issue of shoes! I totally ruined my sneakers this summer in the barnyard and I'd like to pick up a pair at least a few days before leaving so I can break them in.

Speaking of barnyard, now would be a good time to mention one of the big changes for our family this past year. We bought a hobby farm last May with 91 acres!!! It's been quite a learning curve for all of us and an enormous amount of work :faint:

JoJo was able to stop boarding her horse elsewhere and DH and I bought two Standardbreds in June that were going for slaughter! Shortly afterwards we bought a colt for our youngest DD and the donkey came with farm which meant we needed to bring in enough hay to feed 5 of them for the winter! Haying was quite an experience! I learned how to drive the tractor pretty quickly so that I was able to help my DH bring the hay in.

We needed to modify the cattle barn for horses and built some stalls and also put in more fencing for the pasture.

Anyways...along with all the chores that come with owning a farm, we've also been renovating the farm house - making changes to our own liking. It was built around 1870 and the decor was quite outdated.

All that being said, we LOVE the farm life! I haven't even had time to miss our property on the water which we plan to sell this summer. We put it up for rent just in case the whole farm thingy didn't work out for us.

OH! One more thing before I move on...we named the farm "Enchanted Acres"!! Very Disney - very magical place indeed :goodvibes

Here are a few pics of the farm:

Yes our very own farm!!! :wizard:

I can understand your wife though, it is a lot of work and thankfully the girls help out or I'm not sure we'd own many horses. I'd really like to get a goat and a miniature horse...perhaps down the road.

The coyotes are plentiful around here and the howling can be heard most evenings, however, we've mostly only seen pictures of them from our trail cam.

Hi Marissa :)
Yes it has been a long time!! Stuff happens, life gets busy and all that. Deciding to write this TR was a spur of the moment thing and I hope to do most of it "live" since I won't have much time once spring rolls around.

When were you in Ontario, which month? Did you visit any other attractions in NF (other than the falls) and where was the train ride?

that is a lot of acres. congrats to you. sounds wonderful.

Thanks Scott :)

It is certainly enough to keep us busy! We have 5 hay fields to manage and the rest is mostly bush & trails.

We started our vacation by walking the Mackinac Bridge in MI, then drove up to Sault St. Marie, both sides. The train ride was in Sault St. marie and went 100 miles north along Lake Superior. We fly fished somewhere up there. Then we drove down around Lake Huron, to Lake Ontario and then to Niagra Falls. Our vacation started Labor Day weekend and after the walk on Labor Day, we then went into Canada. The temps in WI were over 90 degrees. On Labor Day, temps dropped into the 50's. and remained there till we got home. I really didn't mind, I really hate hot sticky.
When we were fly fishing, I kept telling my dh, Canada is just like the movie at WDW. ya, he wasn't amused.

I never knew there were so many wineries around Niagra Falls.:drinking1
The DIS should have a smilie of a wine glass.

I'm keeping it until I am able to have a DIS meet and give it in person - at least that is what I keep telling myself - it lets me hang on to it longer :teeth:

This is NOT your trip Mother! Those were JoJo's exact words when I tried to make some changes to the plans. You see, this is her trip and I am only a guest - invited along out of pity.

It was early spring when JoJo came to me and mentioned she was planning a trip to P.E.I. with her BFF. I suggested rather than go there, why not WDW? I mean really, it's a no brainer and BFF has never been to the World.

In the meantime, our youngest DD had been making HER own plans for a trip after graduation with friends and I thought, heck - this means that DH and I can finally take a trip by ourselves to that magical place! I was ecstactic at the very idea of it until he burst my bubble. :sad1:

The four of us were sitting outside when I casually mentioned that he and I should take a winter trip to WDW since the girls had their own plans for 2011. Silence. I hate silence. When there is silence you know it can't be good.

I held my breath waiting for him to answer which seemed like an eternity. "No." Did I hear correctly? Could he really mean that? Why on earth not? :confused3

It seemed like a perfectly splendid idea to me, how was it possible that he wouldn't want to go? I can only imagine that the disappointment must have shown on my face because shortly thereafter, JoJo turned to me and asked, "Do you want to come with us Mom?" Are you kidding me? Do you even need to ask? YES!!!! :cheer2:

As for DH's reasons, and there were a few - the main one being that he didn't want to go when it was cold there, still didn't make sense to me - still doesn't but I didn't fight it. There was no point now that I already had in invite from JoJo!! :cutie:

Well..... then the Disney planner in me started coming out and I was making all sorts of suggestions.... which brings us to the title of this installment. It was considerably hard to take a back seat and let her have at it but that is exactly what I did. JoJo planned the hotel, ADR's, dates etc. There were a few things I persuaded her to change but for the most part, it's her trip! She did have the help of our wonderful travel agent as well - the "Fairy Godmother", as she's known to us.

JoJo chose some of our favourite restaurants and some she thought her BFF would like and also added a few new ones for us to try. I'm very proud of her as I know what is involved with this task :-)

Too bad I didn't live nearby, we could have met up!

JoJo just asked me to move her Pre-trip, because you are leaving tomorrow. I hope you have great warm weather.
I saw pre-views of the new Cruise ship for Disney that was launched this week, and it looked so nice and warm, not like the freezing temps we are having this weekend.

When we were in Canada, I kept thinking to myself, "Where the heck did Heidi and Leesa say they lived. I could only remember that you had a 2 hour ride to the Buffalo/Canada border, and you hated crossing, because sometimes it took forever. We crossed the border right at Niagra Falls at noon and it took only 10 minutes, I thought we were going to be sitting there 2 hours.

Have a great time at WDW.

Kudos to Jojo for doing all of the planning herself!

I didn't even bring my pins along on my last trip. I'm not much of a trader anyway. I like to buy them, but I keep 'em.

Ya...kudos but not being in control has left me feeling a bit stressed for some odd reason :confused3

I keep the ones I've bought and those pins given to me but it's a lot of fun to buy a trader set and trying to find that special one...ya know? :wizard:

Go JoJo!!! They grow up so fast.

Too fast

 Blue, I absolutely love your farm and your farm pictures. I live in a big crazy, fast-paced, city and so often (on the weekends) we drive inland to the country just to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Just so peaceful.

Thanks Karen

I have always lived in the country and could never imagine myself in a city

WooHooTy, Stitch is making the trip!!!

JoJo, I love your :mickeyjum 'countdown' calendar!!! :thumbsup2

I do have allot of pins but I am not into pin trading. When I buy myself a pin (which is often because we live so close to Disneyland) I buy it with some meaning in mind ... hence, I want to keep them all.

She did a nice job of the calendar but I've been the one putting the little stickers on before she has a chance :rotfl:

You're so lucky to live nearby :thumbsup2

 :cheer2:
Aww, JoJo, you are a sweetie for including Mom!!!

Yes she is :grouphug:

Getting over here and catching up.

'bout time!!
just sayin'

Nice start to your TR.

I never understood the whole pin thing myself.....:rotfl2:

Always the wise guy

Wouldn't want ya any other way :flower3:

Hope you have a great trip and take lots of pics to share.

Hope to take lots of videos too! popcorn::

I have one word for Grumpy........... ARGHHHHH! pirate:

Nice of Jojo to let you tag along

Give it to him Nat!!!

Yes...JoJo is a sweety..........most of the time!

I've been checking the weather daily in Orlando and it's shaping up to be a beautiful week

The day started out exceptionally well! I woke up feeling refreshed after getting a good nights sleep for a change. There were many items on my list of things to do so I had to get movin' and shakin' as my good buddy Nat would say!

First item on the agenda was to pick up groceries for the week for my DH and DD Sammy. Sam has been quite worried about what her father was going to feed her all week and told me she didn't want to have to eat Kraft Dinner every day! I assured her that her dad was quite capable of cooking and that I would pick up some quick and easy meals. They have their workload cut out for them while we're away looking after all the animals so they don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen.

When they arrived home, I showed them the stuff I bought for them and they both asked me to make a list of the meals :headache:

How hard is it to look in the fridge, freezer or food pantry and decide what to have? Hooboy....it's going to be a tough week for those too! :sad2:

Anyways, so I did make them a list and then Sam said, "well...we don't have to eat it in that order do we?" D'oh...head smacking!

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/PTR-2/menu.jpg

Then DH said, "you better make us a list of where everything is too". You're kidding right? He really isn't. Last week he hollered to me while I was upstairs and asked, "where's the sugar? do we have any sugar?"

Me: Uh..yes...it's in the pantry!
DH: Well I couldn't find it.

I came downstairs and opened the pantry door to find the BIG bag of sugar staring me in face! I gave him an eyeroll and his answer was "I didn't open THAT door" (We have two doors side by side that open) :sad2:

While I was out shopping, I also picked up a Country Sampler magazine for the plane ride and a book to read before bed. I bought myself a pair of stretchy gloves in case it gets a little cool and a phone card! Then I went to the bank and retrieved my American money from my American bank account. While I was there I found out that CIBC now offers a bank card that you can use in the U.S.! I declined for this trip but will definately get one next time around. It will be handy rather than charging to VISA.

My last item on my trip out was to fill up the SUV with gas since we'll be leaving at 4:00 a.m. and the airport is about a 2 hour drive. Not sure if anything will be open at that hour. I pulled into the Canadian Tire Gas Bar which is self-serve. Now I usually never go to a self serve station but I didn't have any cash on me, just my bank card and my American money. I got out and noticed on the pump screen that bank cards were not working at the moment which meant I'd have to go inside to pay. No biggie. So I filled up - $45.00 later, went inside and waited in line. As I was getting closer, the cashier was speaking into the mike thingy to other people at the pump saying that they are only accepting cash...the banking machines were not working. Uhhhhhhhhhh..........DANG! I had no cash on me but still stood in line and when it was my turn I asked:

Me: Can you take a credit card?
Casher: No...the lines are down
Me: I don't have cash on me...what do you want me to do?
Cashier: Let me check it again
Cashier: Nope, still not working
Me: I don't have cash!!!
Cashier: What do you want me to do? :headache:
Me: Will you accept American money?
Cashier: Yes

So I ran back out to the truck, grabbed $60.00 of my American money, stood back in line for another 5 minutes and then handed him the money. He then proceeded to tell me that I would only get .95 cents on the dollar!!! WTH???? What a freakin' rip off! I was so peeved at that point, shook my head, got my change and left.

I was now short 60.00 of my American funds for the trip :guilty:

After leaving, I stopped at Tim Horton's for a tea and snack and was feeling a bit better until I got home and noticed JoJo had let the fire go out. Okay...I now realize it was no reason to be grumpy with her, I was just in a bad mood and most likely needed a nap.

There was no time for napping, the groceries had to be put away, dishes done and then I cooked up a pot of home-made spaghetti sauce for dinner so we could freeze the rest for the night we come back home.

After dinner, I repacked my suitcase and gathered all the stuff I wanted to put in my carry on bag. JoJo picked up Steph and showed her all the goodies our Fairy Godmother sent them for the trip and now the three of us are having a "One Tree Hill" marathon waiting until 4:00 when we can leave for the airport!

Ok, I have questionS... :yay: ……. # 1…How BIG was Grumpy’s bag of sugar? Cause you said it was BIG as opposed to just being big. :rolleyes1 And I am not a fan of opening two doors and suggest maybe overhauling the cupboard doors and just putting up one door to make it easier for future sugar findings. Who know's what they will do to the place why'll you are gone :rotfl2: :duck:

Question #2…What night is the Wang coming home? I couldn't read your list :lmao: Chinese fud …mmm

After waking up DH around 3:45 a.m. and loading our suitcases into the truck we headed to the airport with a quick stop at Timmie's along the way. The drive was uneventful and the roads were clear with minimal traffic.

We arrived at 5:45 and our flight was not scheduled to leave until 7:45 which meant it was going to be a long wait. There were no problems going through security but surprisingly it still took 45 minutes from check-in to finish.

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/Ch1/Ch1-1.jpg

The girls and I took a quick look around through the stores and then chose a seat at the back of the large waiting room. I pulled out my laptop to pass the time while JoJo and FiFi went to get a bite to eat at the Timmie's counter service area. JoJo brought me back another tea and ate the cookies they purchased. Apparently that was all they had left and a few donuts. Watching them made me hungry so I went to get myself something and came back with the last donut on the shelf. You'd think they would have been better stocked. :confused3

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/Ch1/Ch1-2.jpg

Our departure time was delayed by 15 minutes as they had to de-ice the plane. That made me a little nervous.

I pretty much missed the whole flight because I fell asleep shortly after we boarded. I do remember the flight attendant waking me up by moving my seat forward. I was told you're not allowed to recline until after take off. Seriously, the seat only moves back about an inch...was it really necessary to move and wake me for that??? :headache:

I hadn't been on a plane since our first trip to WDW in 2006 and was impressed that they now had TV screens for each passenger. We were able to watch the flight on GPS throughout the entire trip! I thought was cool.

We arrived in Orlando at 11:10 and had no problems finding the ME bus area! The three of us were like Mexican jumping beans by that time and although the line for our bus was short it seemed to drag on and on. When we stepped outside I was in heaven with the heat!!! It was beautiful :yay:

As we boarded the bus, I was watching FiFi for her reaction to all things Disney. That was one of the things I was looking forward to since she was a newbie and the furtherest she's been away from home is about 6 hours! By the time we made it our resort, I could tell she was in awe! It made me smile.

I told JoJo to go check us in and headed to the nearest smoking area. She was a bit shocked that I gave her that responsibility but it was her trip and I wanted her to experience it.

While JoJo was checking in, I scoped out the spot which would later become my sanctuary away from the girls when I needed some alone time and the area in which I would meet many travellers and share friendly conversations. In further updates, I will refer to those people as my “smoking buddies”. :smokin:

We had paid for preferred and I was hoping we'd be in the Toy Story building because it was close to my sanctuary but we ended up in Fantasia. It wasn't that far, however, the late evening jaunts over were sometimes a little sketchy.

I had assumed that going in January the crowds would be smaller but I was quite surprised that the resort was so empty! There was no one in the pool and no line ups in the lobby. It made me wonder if the parks were going to be the same and my excitement grew!

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch2/ch2-7.jpg

After dropping our carry-on bags in our room, we took a few photos before we messed up the place.

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch2/ch2-8.jpg

The girls gave me the two top drawers to the bureau so I wouldn't have to bend! :goodvibes Our suitcases hadn't arrived so there wasn't too much to unpack yet but I was relieved to be rid of my bag as it was heavier than it looked and my shoulders were beginning to ache. :faint:

The wind had picked up and it was starting to get a little chilly so we decided to wear our jackets that we had left with in case we weren't back before dinner. I didn't bring my winter coat, just a thin Disney jacket that I figured would be fine for most of the trip. Besides, I planned on buying some hoodies to replace my old ones.

I heard FiFi say something to JoJo about wearing her “Canadian” sweater and she seemed worried by this for some reason. JoJo laughed at her and said it was fine. I'm not sure what she was thinking...like maybe the MerriCANS were going to string her up or something for doing so? :lmao:

We headed to the resort store to have a look around before heading to MK and I had to laugh at FiFi when I looked over and saw that her arms were full of Disney merchandise. I went over and told her that she shouldn't spend all her money at once and she looked at JoJo and asked if there were other stores at MK. The kid really had no idea of the magic she was in for! :wizard: JoJo giggled and told her to just buy the necessary items for now, that being, an autograph book and a pin trader set. She put all the other stuff back and picked out a Tink book and pin set. As soon as she got her pins she traded two of them from the pin board.

While JoJo was checking in, I scoped out the spot which would later become my sanctuary away from the girls when I needed some alone time and the area in which I would meet many travellers and share friendly conversations. In further updates, I will refer to those people as my “smoking buddies”. :smokin:
Hooboy... :upsidedow

There was no one in the pool ...
Because everyone was afraid of freezing their bezonkers off!!

I I get addicted to things quickly. My FB is constantly Farmville and Cityville. :rotfl2:

I guess I do too then as that is my facebook account too...cityville and farmville. If you need more neighbors (god knows I do) just look me up or send me a message or something, I didn't even think to look on facebook for fellow dis-board members that liked the games too. :-)

Went to WDW only once in January and there are a lot of plusses and minuses to this time of year.

Plus: NO LINES!!

Minus: Mickey looks strange in a parka :confused3

Plus: No Canadians wearing Maple Leaf sweaters

Minus: Brazilians galore! :scared1:

Plus: The ice fishing is wonderful!

Minus: Chipping ice off my beard after Splash MT.

However, the Taco Stand across from PotC is usually open this time of year (but closed in October when we go).

I have 3 new Canadian sweatshirts. My kids tease me all the time. I would never wear a USA sweatshirt. Last year after the Olympics I wanted a Canadian sweatshirt and I thought they would have some at Epcot, nope.

If you guys ever get the opportunity, rent some DVC points from someone ($9/point) and spend a few days at the Treehouses in SSR. It would cost about $900 for three nights.

This is going to be a photo update!

When we arrived at MK, I went through the gates and finger scanner rather quickly and looked behind me only to notice JoJo and FiFi were still far back...they had somehow got tangled up with each. Maybe she will explain that in her TR :confused3

FiFi stopping to buy something....

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch3/ch3-1.jpg

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch3/ch3-2.jpg

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch3/ch3-6.jpg

The only thing we had to eat that day was a donut at the airport at 7:00 a.m. and we were starving. Our first stop was The Pinocchio Haus. I ordered the meatball sub and it was pretty good! FiFi ate like a bird and left most of her nuggets and fries. This became a daily thing with her. The amount of food she wasted could have fed two kids! Oh and I forgot to the food porn...I'll have some for the next meal, I promise!

After that we wanted FiFi to see POTC since it's a favourite of ours.

Meatball sub.
Never knew they existed-my dh loves meatball subs-will have to check it out.

And why we don't live in the country?
Land has sky-rocketed in Wisconsin.
$20,000 an acre.
If you buy 50 acres, a farmer wanted at least $15,000 an acre.
If you pay that much, then you end up paying taxes for what you bought the land for. This is why farmers in Wisconsin are going under-there land is getting assessed for way to much. Vicious cycle.

When we got back to our room we unpacked our suitcases and the girls gave me the top drawer so that I wouldn't have to bend down all the time - such a sweety that JoJo

JoJo decorated our window!

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch4/ch1-2.jpg

We also decided to buy our refillable mugs and I was a little disappointed to find out that the iced tea machines were not working. I don't really like soda all that much but one of the young CM's suggested I make a regular tea and add ice - which I did. It wasn't that bad at all.

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/WDW2011/ch4/ch1-1.jpg

Before heading out to Downtown Disney, I searched my suitcase and bags for the stretchy mittens I had picked up at the dollar store before our trip and couldn't find them anywhere...grrrr....it was starting to get cold...much colder than I had anticipated. I put on my warmest hoody and then my jacket over top of that and the girls wore their winter coats. Why didn't I bring my winter jacket??? :headache:

Our first stop was the Christmas store - it's my fave!!! The girls were bored in there and went across the way. When I finally caught up with them, I pretended not to know them because it looked like they were talking to the mannequins and taking pictures of each other doing so :sad2:

It was so dang cold out that I thought my trip was going to be ruined. I looked at some mitts and hats but there was no way I was going to pay $10.00 for a pair of stretchy mitts that I knew I had somewhere in one of my bags back in the room.

JoJo and Fifi wanted to go to the Planet Hollywood store to use their coupons and they each bought some shirts. I picked up a few things in World of Disney; toast stamper, teabag holder, Grumpy shot glass for DH and another lined Hoody!!!

I was at WDW last year, the last week in February, when it was 35 Degrees in the morning and only got to 55 during the day. It was sort of funny seeing all the cast members in parkas, and me running around in Capri's and a hoodie. It was cool out, but when you come from -20 degrees, 55 is darn right balmy out. Plus the sun was out, which made it even better.

True...very true and the week we were away was the coldest week of the winter back home. That being said, I wouldn't want to spend my vacation at WDW if it was that cold each day of the trip. Luckily it warmed up after day one

I'm glad it warmed up for you. Seeing the CMs in parkas is not what you would typically want to see while on vacation in Florida, maybe a ski trip but not Florida. It reminded me of the time I floated on the tube at Blizzard Beach and the life guards were wearing parkas. We are Canadian!!! :woohoo:

While updating my TR tonight and looking back at my quickly scribbled notes, I am reminded of an enjoyable aspect of our trip. Time. It wasn't a rushed vacation, there was no need to get up at the crack up dawn for fear of missing out on something. Most days we slept until 8 or 9 and on this particular day we didn't get up until 9:30! Considering we hadn't slept the night before, we needed the rest :faint:

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/ch5-1.jpg

My morning routine consisted of dressing quickly, getting a hot cup of tea and heading to my sanctuary where I would sit quietly and observe everyone heading out to the parks and eavesdrop on buddies conversations. I met some interesting individuals, some quirky, some rude but mostly good, friendly peeps. More stories to follow as the trip progresses.

When I returned the to the room, the girls were already showered and dressed - both in shorts which I questioned as we nearly froze our buns off the night before. They assured me that they checked the weather channel and it was supposed to warm up later on. I wasn't taking the chance and after showering, wore jeans, a T and my fur-lined hoody.

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/ch5-3.jpg

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af159/EnchantedAcres/ch5-4.jpg

By the time we left it was already 11:00...okay...so that was a weeee bit too late to head out but we had the whole day ahead of us and didn't plan to return to the resort for an afternoon rest like we used to during the summer months.

Did it ever warm up or did the girls freeze?

I didn't freak but I was soooo upset :guilty:
The girls still had theirs but Fifi's died about an hour after mine. I did bring two cameras with me for the trip but had left the spare back in the room :sad2:

Lesson learned. :nods:
It didn't happen again.

It did warm up but not enough for shorts IMO!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. It's going to be another busy week here for me but I do plan to get at least two more updates done!
