Hi. We're going on our 1st cruise in a few months. Could someone tell me when you pay for the excursions. Do you pay for them in full when you book them or are they billed to you on the ship? Thanks for your help..I appreciate it.

You don't have to pay up front for excursions, they will be automatically charged to your stateroom.

Excursions are billed to your onboard account. You do not pay for them in advance.

Happy planning!

can you pay them in advance if you want to?

You can pay them in advance, but what you are actually doing is placing that amount of credit in your onboard account. The excursions won't actually be charged to the account until you are on board. Also, if an excursion is canceled for any reason (usually weather), the cost will be refunded to the stateroom account. The cost of an excursion is not billed to a credit card until it has actually occurred (saving DCL the credit card fees of doing a charge and a refund if needed).
