:wave2: Hi!!! My name is Angie and I love WDW! I have some of my fondest memories there. I would go every year if I could afford it. I am kind of a rambler in my "writings" so please forgive me. This is my first journal...so I hope to go back to it often and update it often. I also hope to get my Aunt to join me on this joural since we live so far away, but she is my Disney World travelling buddy, so this will be good and fun for both of us. :)

I will post some pictures when I get home tonight. My higest weight is 215. :scared: I am currently down to 204. My goal is to get down to 140ish. I am in a size 16 currently and would love to get down to single digits. :) I plan to do this by eating out a lot less, cutting back my portion sizes and getting some exercise everyday. I'd also like to do a marathon at WDW some day. :)

So, here are my goals:

Short Term:
1) Get below 200 lbs before the end of January
2) Get into a size 14 by February
3) Workout 4 days this week:
4) Eat healthier this week
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week

Long Term:
1) Get to down 140ish
2) Get into a size 8
3) Workout on a regualr basis and make it a routine (enjoy it)
4) Learn to love healthier foods and share them with others
5) Cook at home for every meal except one night a week
6) Prepare for a marathon at Disney World

Short Term:
1) Get below 200 lbs before the end of January ---> 204 lbs
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit loser)
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> haven't done anything yet :(
4) Eat healthier this week ---> going to the grocery store tonight to get healthy items
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> was sick, so I didn't eat much at home yesterday

My plan each post is to start with my ST goals and update them with how things went as of yesterday.

Notes:
This past weekend was horrible in the food and exercise category. I went to my hometown to see my best friend since kindergarten. Can you believe that we are still best friends? :) I feel so blessed to have her in my life still. She is going to have a little boy in a month. I'm so excited for her. But, I didn't eat very well and we didn't exercise at all. :( I'm a bit down on myself today, but I know it's just a matter of me starting over today. I was home sick yesterday, so I didn't do a lot of ecercise. I plan to walk today and eat a healthy dinner.

Short Term:
1) Get below 200 lbs before the end of January ---> 204 lbs
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser)
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> walked at work for a little bit (maybe a total of 15 miutes)
4) Eat healthier this week ---> didn't have the best day for food yesterday
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> yesterday, I did bring my lunch to work, so that's a start. :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Yesterday was not a great day (health wise) for me. I didn't eat all that great and I didn't do all that much exercising. I kind of started feeling bad around 3 yesterday and went home after work and fell asleep on the couch. I woke up with a massive headache. I'm guessing it is from the cold front that blew in. I'm hoping today will be a better day.

2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser)
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> This weekend was pretty laid back, so I didn't do much for exercising. But, I have already done some exercise today. :)
4) Eat healthier this week ---> We have home made veggie burgers last night...they were so good.
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> We did pretty good this weekend, I think we only ate out once. And I had a salad at Olive Garden. Woo who!!!

Short Term:
1) Get below 200 lbs before the end of January ---> 203 lbs - still at the same weight...think positive, at least I didn't gain anything. :)
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser)
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> Last night I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill for an hour. I ran for a little little bit last night. Once I came home I had fruit and a smoothie for dinner.
4) Eat healthier this week ---> We've done okay at the healthy eating so far this week. If we eat out, it is generally a veggie subway sandwich, so that's not too bad.
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> We are working on this one. We didn't go to the grocery store this weekend, so we need to do that to have food to eat. Oh joy!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful and Magical Wednesday. It's hump day. We've made it this far, surely we can get through the week. :)

1) Get below 200 lbs before the end of January ---> 201 lbs - I'm down 2 lbs today!!! I'm so close to hitting this mini goal! I can SO DO IT!!! Yay!!!! :dance3:
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser)
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> I didn't go to the gym yesterday because my foot and knee hurt. But, I have my workout clothes with me today, so my plan is to go right after work today.
4) Eat healthier this week ---> Last night we ate out and I left several bites of everything on my plate, so I left there satisfied and feeling so good. I'm drinking lots more water too, so that may be part of the weight loss.
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> Still haven't gone to the g store, so we'll probably just plan on going this weekend.

I hope that everyone is enjoying this Thursday. I'm having a GREAT day!!! :) :woohoo:

1) Get below 200 lbs before the end of January ---> Well, it's February 1st and I weighed in this morning at exactly 200 lbs. So, I'm down another pound, but not under 200. I'm not going to let myself get down though because I am SO CLOSE to getting under 200 and I haven't seen this weight in quite some time. :woohoo:
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser)
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> I haven't been to the gym this week, but I did walk at lunch yesterday and am trying to walk several miles at the office today. It is snowing here, so I'm trying to not get out in it as much as possible.
4) Eat healthier this week ---> THis past weekend was my birthday, and I over did it a bit. I had the chocolate cake at Johnny Carino's. But, I didn't eat all of it, so I think that was good.
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> We went to the grocery store this weekend and bought so much food, so we now HAVE to eat it because I don't want to waste that money. Not sure what we will have tonight, but I can guarantee I won't be out driving to get something for dinner.

I hope everyone is keeping warm today. A large portion of the country is getting hit with some bad weather. I'm praying that everyone makes it through this storm okay. Stay warm and be careful! :)

1) NEW GOAL!!!! Get below 195 lbs before the end of February ---> Can you believe that February is almost half over already...I must have been sleeping in these first two weeks. Man!!! I am still at 200 lbs...I think the scale is playing games with me. Haha! It is my own fault because I have slacked a little on the exercise part. But, today is a new day and a new week and I'm back on it again. :) It's Valentine's Day...I hope everyone enjoys this day. :)
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser). My pants are definietly getting looser and looser. I have some older pants that say they are a size 16, but they are pants that I was unable to get into a few weeks ago. I tried them on, and I can actually button them now. :) They are still way to tight to be worn in public, but just the fact that I can pull them up is very motivating. I wonder if that means I'm really in a size 18 now and just have stretchy pants on?! :confused3 Oh well, the number says 16, so I'm going with that. I think that losing 5 lbs will really help those pants fit nicely. I carry most of my excess weight in my hips and thighs, so 5 lbs makes a lot of difference.
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> Well, I didn't go to the gym this weekend because I wasn't feeling good, but I do have plans of going tonight. I brought my clothes with me to the office so I can leave from here. Woo who!4) Eat healthier this week ---> We are doing really good with eating healthy right now. I feel like we have mastered this goal right now. I say we, and I mean my boyfriend Scott. We either try and make our food or we only eat at places that offer healthy options. Next week, I'm going to count this goal as accomplished. :)
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> We are doing so good here too...as long as we go to the g-store on the weekend and prepare for the meals for each week. We didn't do this this weekend because I didn't feel good, so I'll have to make a quick run tonight.

So, If you noticed, I have added another name to my title. Charlo is my sweet, dear aunt. She's so much closer than an aunt to me. She has really stepped in like a Mom to me when my mom passed. I invited her to WDW on a whim one year and she has been hooked ever since. :) We can't wait to go back together once they've made all the changes. We both want this trip to be our healthiest trip yet. :cool1: Is said healthiest...but skinniest would be great too. ;)

So, she will be posting from time to time on her progress as well. She's not on the computer all the time like I am, but 'm sure she'll keep us up-to-date on her progress. Love you Charlo! :)

1) NEW GOAL!!!! Get below 195 lbs before the end of February ---> Well this goal isn't happening because the end of February is 3 days away and I am in a major PLATEAU stuck at 200 lbs. Boo! I guess I should count my blessings in that I am not gaining anything. :)
2) Get into a size 14 by February ---> size 16 (pants are a bit looser). See response from #1...not happening yet.
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> I haven't felt very god all week, but last night I managed to walk/run on the treadmill for an hour. :scared1: Don't panic I walked for 55 minutes and only managed to run for a minute a time.
5) Decide not to eat out a couple of times this week ---> We have eaten out more this week than normally, so that isn't good. Maybe that is what is helping this plateau. :confused3 I plan to go to the store and have meals planned for the whole week.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!! It's FRIDAY!!!!:rotfl:

Hey there, I finally busted through my plateau of 200 lbs. Today I weighed in at 197 lbs...woo who!!! I'm so very excited. A co-worker told me that it could take up to an hour in the cardio zone to break through it...and boy was she right. :woohoo: I'm feeling so good today!!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!!

Updates:
1) NEW GOAL!!!! Get below 195 lbs before the end of March ---> I am now at 197...woo who!!! I'd love to surpass this goal and possibly lose a few more before the end of March since today is only March 1st. :)
2) Get into a size 14 by March ---> I have been able to retire my largest pair of pants because they are just becoming to baggy for me. I have decided to keep them since they are my largest...and I never want to get back to them again. I can't wait until I can donate some of the other ones. Still in a size 16, but making progress all the time.
3) Workout 4 days this week ---> I've started off this week pretty well. I walked at work for 20 miutes and then went to the gym for about 45 minutes.
4) Eat healthier---> I've done really good in this area for the last couple of days. It feels so good when I've done good in the exercise and the food sides. :)

Until next time. :)

Here's a picture from our 2007 trip. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h315/gudrench3/untitled.jpg

Well, it has been a while since I have posted on here...and sadly, it has been a while since I've done any kind of exercise too. :( I have fallen off the wagon a bit. But, I got back online today and read about folks doing half marathons at Disney World...and I'm in! Right now, I cannot run for more than 15-30 seconds at a time...or at least the last time I went to the gym that is. I will post some more soon! :)

My Aunt, Charlo and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Disney World. We had a blast. And we really enjoyed our time there. We strolled a lot this trip and took lots of pictures and just enjoyed our time there and our time together. We slept in late several days too...that's not normally like us.

We have talked about our weight for years and do good for a bit and then gain it all back. We are the rollercoaster queens when it comes to weight loss. And we both know how bad this is for us. So, before leaving for Disney World, I started reading some reports from the 1/2 marathons at WDW. It inspired me so much. When I walked up to Cinderella's castle I said that the next time it sees me, I will be a new and improved person all around. And, on my last day at the parks...(we always spend the first and last days at the Magic Kingdom as I have so many wonderful memories of my Mom there)...I told the Magic Kingdom the same thing. When I come back, I'm running through you as a different person. My sweet Aunt has decided that she will be my trainer and supporter. Sounds great to me...she's so good at that.

So, I've done some research and am doing the C25k program to help me get there. Yesterday was my first official walk/jog workout and I was able to complete it.:banana: I'm extrememly proud of myself for so many reasons...I had 4 reasons not to go to the gym...remember, I haven't been to the gym in many months. So, I had 4 reasons not to go to the gym yesterday...I forgot my water bottle, my pony tail holder, my workout shirt, and my IPOD. Wow, I was really prepared. But, I knew that if I had gone to my house, I wouldn't get back out and go to the gym, so I wore the same shirt I wore to work, borrowed a pony tail holder (thanks Barbra), bought water at the store on the way, and just forgot about the whole IPOD. As I said, I'm super proud of me!!! I was able to complete workout #1 of the program. It wasn't easy, but I did it. And, normally I worry about all the wonderfully thin people running around me at the gym. They run for hours and I ran for a minute at a time. Normally, I let this get to me, but I just kept telling myself that "at least I was here doing something" and "someday, I'll be that runner too." I also didn't let it bother me that I couldn't get a treadmill on the back row. In the past, I would have walked out if I had to have someone behind me, but I just reminded myself that I didn't know these people from Adam and that at least I was there doing something...instead of just talking about doing something. :) :cheer2:

I will post some neat pictures from our recent trip. :) I will also catch up on my short-term and long-term goals in my next posting. I just HAD to "share" my YAYs from yesterday. :)

I hope yall are having a great day!!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Okay, so now that I have made the decision to start a running program and train to run a 1/2 marathon, I have some questions for those of you who have been there.

First, I am overweight and people are looking at me like I have lost my mind when I tell them what I have decided to do. :( Did yall have people look at you like this when you started your journey?

Second, I am not at all worried about the training program. I am mostly worried about eating the right things to fuel my body for this training. My boyfriend thinks this is kind of funny that this is my main concern. But, I am basically a vegetarian with a rare meal that includes chiken. So, I don't eat any red meat at all, and I really don't like the taste of fish. So, I'm really concerned that I'm not going to do the eating side right and mess everything up. Do yall have any tips, websites, or meal plans that yall use now to help this newbie? I would appreciate any information and guidance you can give me. :)

Thanks so much!!!

Yesterday, I followed the Couch to 5k workout1 for week1. I was able to complete it (surprisingly). My distance was 1.82 miles in 30 minutes. I can't tell you how good it feels to accomplish something like that. It isn't much yet, but it's a lot more than I thought it would be to do at this point. woo who!!!

Now, I'm going to update my goals:
1) NEW GOAL!!!! Run the Cross Roads 5k on October 1, 2011 in Odessa!!!
2) Get down to 195 lbs before the end of June ---> I am back up to 200 right now
3) Get into a size 14 by June ---> I have been able to retire my largest pair of pants because they are just becoming to baggy for me. I have decided to keep them since they are my largest...and I never want to get back to them again. I can't wait until I can donate some of the other ones. Still in a size 16, but making progress all the time.
4) Run/jog 3 days this week; walk or other kind of exercise 2 days during the week ---> I've started off this week pretty well. I completed W1D1 workout. Tonight I plan on doing some kind of yoga or pilates and maybe some walking.
5) Eat healthier---> I've done really good in this area for the last couple of days. It feels so good when I've done good in the exercise and the food sides.

Way to go on finishing your first C25k workout! I just did my W1D1 workout today as well. I completed the program last year but then didn't keep running. I'm starting over from scratch again this year and I can't wait to keep going. I want to do either the Princess 1/2 in 2013 or the Disneyland 1/2 in 2012. I signed up for my first actual 5k race for October 1st and I am very motivated now that I'm actually registered for it.

I can't wait to follow along on your journey! :cheer2: The biggest struggle I have is food as well. I'm always worried that I'm not eating the right things at the right times. I am not a snacker but I'm trying to work in healthy snacks and keeping portions at my meals sensible. It's so hard!

Keep up the good work! :goodvibes

Hi Angie. Just wanted to tell you there are lots of vegetarian runners on the WISH boards. If you have specific questions or just want some feedback post a question about it on the events board and I bet you will get some responses.

I am a 99.9 percent vegetarian. I will very rarely have a hot dog--I know how yucky, but I like hot dogs. And that's about it. I run 3 times a week and have completed 2 half marathons last year and 2 this year so far. My dh is mostly vegetarian--he eats chicken/fish when we go out and will share a hot dog with me on occasion.:thumbsup2

Anyhow, I have not found it hard at all to get what I need nutritionally. Great sources of protein: greek yogurt, eggs, beans, cheese, nuts. I try to eat protein after a workout--even if it's just a string cheese or a spoon of peanut butter. Sparkpeople will let you track your food and estimates how much of which nutrients you are getting and what you are low on.

I do take a multi-vitamin--without iron. So far I have been doing ok getting iron from veggie sources.

I think what makes working on weight loss/ being a vegetarian/ and an athlete a little challenging is realizing that some of the good sources of protein may be a little higher in calories--nuts, eggs, beans, cheese, etc. but you just have to modify how you eat them. Have your pb on celery or by the spoon instead of on bread. Substiture a plain hardboiled egg for chicken or lunch meat. Eggs are pretty low in calories. And realize that if you are getting your fat from nuts, you probably need to avoid butter, sour cream, etc.

Anyhow, I hope some of this makes sense. It's very doable. Just takes a little thought.:goodvibes Good luck with your running!

I was just thinking this morning that I should start my own journal so I think I will do that today. I've been really inspired by all the people on this board with their courage and honesty. :)

It would be SO AWESOME if we could do the 2013 Princess 1/2 together! I'm trying to figure out if finances will come together for us to do it, if not then I'm going to do the 2013 Tinkerbell 1/2 at Disneyland OR if we can afford it I might try for the 2012 Disneyland 1/2. We live a lot closer to DL so it is a cheaper trip for us.

I did my W1D1 C25k workout yesterday so today I'm going to crosstrain. I will go for a 4 mile bike ride. :-) What's on your schedule today?

Are you planning on doing the Princess 1/2 in 2013? And how is your training going thus far for the WDW 5k? Have you started the c25k plan? I should be doing W1D2 tonight but might not get to it tonight because we have a comedian coming to our church tonight...so we'll see what time we get out of there. :)

I hope you are having a great day!!! Thanks again!

The funny thing is I was moaning and groaning about how hard it was to progress through the C25K and I was only on W2! So, I decided to finish W2D3 and went back to W1D1 the following workout. I repeated W1 then was expecting the worst when I did W2D1 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I feel much better and stronger, aerobically and muscle-wise compared with when I started it all just 3 weeks ago. I've also been working out with a personal trainer for 2 months and that has made a big difference.

I would love to try for the Princess 1/2 in 2013. Will it be in October? It seems far off but there's no way I'd be up to running 13 miles without a good year's work.

*warning, hot thread alert!* After reading your journal so far, I feel like we're kindred spirits, haha. I was in a very similar spot only two months ago, and now I've gotten my weight down quite a bit! I've joined the Biggest Loser Summer Challenge on the boards here, and I love it!! I havne't had a soda in almost two weeks (thanks to CC over at Healthy Habits) and I've been working out regularly with a walking buddy and some Pilates dvd's that I looove  It's been so doable.

I can't wait to hear more about your awesome success!!

Rose&Mike,

Thank you so much for the information and the reassurance that I can do this as a vegetarian just fine! :) It makes me feel so much better!!!

Have you tried the veggie hot dogs? I love them, but my boyfriend can't stand them at all. So, I don't eat them that often. I used to love regular hot dogs, but haven't had one in several years now. :)

Thanks again!!! :)

I think that's a great idea. Let me know when you start it and I'll subscribe to it so I can keep up with you too! :) Yeah, the finanaces are a BIG deal for me as to when I will be able to run that race. If it works out and we get to run it together, then that will be awesome.

How's the workout going? I've got my clothes ready to go for right after work.

I started it yesterday. :-) Here is a link to it http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2741019. My workout today was hard, I really don't enjoy running outside at all, I have the worst trouble pacing myself! I know I'll get better though and since you can't run the Princess 1/2 on the treadmill (lol) outside is the way I want to train for now.

It would be so awesome if it worked out that we could run together! I'm definitely going to try very hard to save up so I can make it there in 2013. I hope you have a great workout today, I'll check back later for your update! <3 :goodvibes

Haha, I'm glad it went so well! I think the hardest thing is getting past the mental part of thinking it's going to be too hard and all. I try to think about the folks on the biggest loser show and remind myself, if they can do it, then I can too. :) So, I know what you mean by dreading it and worrying about it...but WE CAN DO THIS!!! Way to go on going back when needed. I will do the same thing if needed.

I think the Princess is earlier in the year...January or February, but I will need to double check on that for ya!!! Guess I should know since I really want to do it. :thumbsup2

I have done all three together, and it's really helped me a lot. I don't eat the same things I was eating before, I have taught myself what a portion of something really is, I hardly drink soda anymore, and I feel so much better! I'm currently only 5lbs away from the lowest weight I've ever been, and I'm so excited to get even lower than that. It hasn't been the easiest thing I've ever done, but being able to change the way I look at food now has changed my whole life. I started looking at food as fuel for my body and the things I want to do with it. And if your body was a super-hot sports car, you wouldn't fill up with junk gas, right? Heck no, you'd fill that bad boy up with Premium! LOL, it's such a ridiculous analogy, but it helps me when it comes time to make a choice about whether or not to eat something.

But you're doing so well! What else are you doing? I saw you're thinking about going veggie-how is that working out??

Robyn - I found your journal...good job!!! I'm proud of you for running outside. I'm almost too scared to do that right now. It is so hot outside, and I'm afraid I'm not ready to give it a try. I may find the courage to run with my boyfried this weekend. Keep it up!!!

JacksLilWench - wow, you have just done an awesome job!!!! You go!!! It sounds like we are on the same track, but you are almost to the end of yours...woo who!!! Haha, and I love the car analogy (I love NASCAR racing)...it's so true!!!

I have a walking buddy at work and we either walk for 20 minutes or we lift 5 lb weights in her office. We call it our smoke breaks! :-P I will see if I can find a picture of her...she's a petite little thing, but is so encouraging!!! I've been about 99% vegetarian for about two years now. I love it! The only thing I ever miss is the "smell" outside a good steakhouse! I don't miss the taste of meat, but I love to walk by a steakhouse. In fact, a lot of times you can get the best salad and veggies at steakhouses...kind of funny huh? I'm trying to broden my horizons a little and add some new things to my diet, but at the moment I'm eating the same old things. I LOVE home-made taco salads with beans...they have become my recent favorite meal. :) My boyfriend loves cutting up veggies, so it works out great, we do romaine, tomatoes, green peppers, orange peppers, avacado, onions, a few chips, and some hot sauce. SOmetimes we will add some beans too. Yummy, my mouth is watering just thinking about them. And the good thing is that now your veggies are already cut up for a veggie pizza or turkey meatloaf for the next night. :)

Okay, so I didn't do W1D2 until Friday after work! It was SO HARD!!! I struggled, but I talked myself through it. And, my distance was 1.85 after 30 minutes. So, I was a bit slower, but again, I FINISHED it!!! I talked myself through it!!! I have my workout clothes with me today, so I'm headed to the gym to do W1D3 soon.

Right now, my biggest struggle is getting enough water in me. I don't dislike it, but it's just not a habit for me to drink it throughout the day. So, I'm working on that. My walking buddy and I remind each other throughout the day to drink some water. We need to do more of that though. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

I wish I were almost to the end, haha :) My ultimate goal is pretty big- down an additional 45lbs. But I have to break it down into small goals so I don't get discouraged too easily. I tend to get a little short-sighted, haha :) But my pre-Disney goal weight is fairly close, about another 13 or so pounds. That taco salad sounded goooooood, I might have to get the stuff to make one of those!

Do you have a journal or anything that I can follow? How has your week gone so far?

That'a a good idea...seeing big numbers is very discouraging. :) Yay, you are SO close to your pre-disney weight...woo who!!! Keep it up!!! :hippie:

Just a quick note about Monday's workout. I did W1D3 and I struggled to get through it, but I did finish. I am thinking about trying the W2D1 workout, but if I can't do it, then I'll fall back on the W1 plan. :)

1) Run the Cross Roads 5k on October 1, 2011 --> completed W1D3 on Monday
2) Get down to 195 lbs before the end of June ---> I am -1 pound today...199 this moring!!! Woo who!!!
3) Get into a size 14 by July ---> no change
4) Run/jog 3 days this week; walk or other kind of exercise 2 days during the week ---> I've done okay this week...not great.
Monday - went to the gym; completed W1D3 (distance 1.82)
Tuesday - rest day
Wednesday - saw the Go Fish boys at my church
Thursday - TODAY...going to the gym to attempt W2D1!!!
5) Eat healthier---> I've been eating lately, except for lunch. I've eaten out 4 of the 4 days at lunch this week...and I've over eaten at all of them. :( That's not a good thing.

I will say that I'm in a better mood for some reason right now. :) I can't explain it, but I have just decided that I will not let others bother me or upset me at work...and it seems to be working thus far. :) I hope yall are having a great day! :)

Well, tonight I did W2D1 outside with my boyfriend. He's such a super guy!!! He hasn't been running or exercising recently...and he gets on the treadmill the other day and runs for like 8 minutes straight...did I say he was wonderful or a show-off?! :goodvibes All kidding aside, I called him one day and told him I wanted to do a 5K in October, and I wanted him to do it with me. He didn't hesitate for a second. He's so great. He's never had a weight problem in his life, but everyone around him does. He's very supportive!!! We've been together forever, and I just love him.

So, I asked him if he wanted to do my W2D1 workout with me, and he agreed. Again, he can run circles around me. So, he out ran me each time but circled around to check on me after each running segment. I surprised myself a little bit. I had basically talked myself into redoing W1 again, but I decided to try W2's schedule first and see how it goes. It went ok. It was difficult, but I finished it. We walked an extra mile after the run too just to burn some extra calories. I'm proud of myself for sticking with this. I know, it's only the start of week two, but normally I would have given up at this point because it isn't easy. I'm not sure what's motivating me...Disney, the 5k, or c23k program? :confused3 But, I like it so far. :)

Today was my friday off at work, so I didn't get to weigh in, but I don't think anything changed there. Tomorrow morning, we are headed to the farmer's market to get some yummy fruits and veggies. I just need to go to sleep so I can get up in the morning. Good night all, I hope yall have had a blessed week. Enjoy your weekend.

Last night Scott and I went to the gym and he ran forever while I did my jog/walk routine. I was nervous about it for some reason, but I read a great artical about proer breathing for new runners. It helped so much. I will post the link on here as soon as I find it again. So, I completed W2D2 and felt a bit dizzy afterward. I think it's because I don't drink enough water throughout the day. One of these days I will learn that I'm going to have to do that. :-S

Hey girlie! I hadn't heard from you in a while and wanted to see how you were doing! I can't wait to hear about some more of your progress :)

Hey there, thanks for checking on me. I need to do an update...thanks for the gentle push! :P

I have finished W2D3 of the C25K!!! And, surprisingly, it was relatively easy. I've been working on my breathing lately and trying to improve that. :) I'm a bit nervous about W3, but tonight is the night, so I'm going to give it a try!

Now, let me update my goals:
1) Run the Cross Roads 5k on October 1, 2011 --> completed W2D3 on Monday, July 4th (:scared: that was over a week ago, man how time flies)
2) Get down to 195 lbs before the end of June ---> Ha, well, I'm in July, so this goal didn't happen. However, I am -2 pounds at 197 this morning!!! Woo who!!!
3) Get into a size 14 by July ---> no change here, but I have a pair of jeans that are getting so loose.
4) Run/jog 3 days this week; walk or other kind of exercise 2 days during the week ---> Ha, judging by the face used in goal #1, I need to work on this one. I'm going to the gym right after work tonight.
5) Eat healthier---> I've been doing pretty good lately. I am going out for lunch today, but I will try and not over do it and come up with the best options on the menu.

I hope yall have a wonderful day!!! :)

It's been a while since I have posted or exercised! :( But last night I made myself go. And I was able to complete the W3D1 of the C25K program. I purchased the app on my blackberry, and it it awesome. I love it so much. I just wait for the light to change colors so I can walk again. :) It's that time for me right now, so I haven't weighed in over a week. I will plan on weighing monday at work. We'll see how that goes. I'll post what that number is.

Tomorrow I'm heading to my home town to see my brother and his family and my dad. They don't really know that I've been working towards running for a 5k and 1/2 marathon, so we'll see how that goes. :) I hope to get to see my Aunt Charlo tomorrow too.

I hope yall are having a great Friday. And I hope yall have a safe weekend. Keep cool! :)

So, I just got back from the gym with Scott. He was able to run an extra minute this time...meaning he's up to 13 minutes straight now......SHOW OFF! :rotfl: I did challenge myself a little and added two extra 1.5 minutes sessions of running. And, it didn't bother me too much. The first minute and a half was the worst because of my breathing. My chest was real tight and I just couldn't get a deep breath. But, on the 1.5 minute walk, I was able to catch my breathe and finished much better. :)

I have jury duty tomorrow...yay! This is my first time to ever be called, so I'm a bit nervouse just because I don't know what to do. Oh well, I know I will get through it.

This weekend was a nice weekend, my brother and his family drove into my hometown, and Scott and I did too. It was a really fun time. We spent time with my grandma, my dad, my aunt Charlo, and my uncle Roland. We had a really nice visit. The kids swam in the pool. Hannah, my neice is such a precious and sweet girl. Lane, my nephew is a bit of a toot, but he sure is smart. Tyler, my oldest nephew was with his dad, so we didn't get to see him. I missed seeing him. I saw a very good friend from Junior High at Fuentez (mexicna restaurant). It was so nice to see her. It felt like old times catching up with her.

Well, that was my weekend. I hope yall had a great weekend as well. I'll weigh in at the office as soon as I get there. I'll let you know how it goes.

So, I came here to give an update on the session that I did last night and realized that I never said anything about W3D3. Well, I finised it without any problesm or issues...yay!!!!

Two nights after that, I tried W4D1...and failed miserably. :( I got a cramp after the 5 minute jog. I was so disappointed. :(

Last night I picked myself up and thought I'd tried it again...and I was able to finish it!!! Yay!!! I was SLOW, but I was able to finish it. YAY!!!

I don't have any other updates at the moment. I hope to be telling you that I have a new number on the scale soon. My smaller pants are getting looser...still the same size, but they don't have any "stretch" in them, so they fit tighter. PROGRESS!!! :D

So, I've taken a week off from running because of working late and my hurt toe. So this morning I went to the gym and repeated week 4again. I need too be more consistant with my training. So my new schedule will make Monday as my rest day. I will be running in the morning now.
I've Ben working out for a total of 45 mins. And from now on I am going to see what my distance is at thed of each workout. This morning my distance was 2.56 miles.

I completed week 4 day 2 tonight. I oversplept, so I ran immediately after work today. I struggled again. This time I mainly struggled with my breathing and keeping my mind on track. I keep telling myself that I can't do it and nearly talked myself out of running at all tonight. At the end of my 45 minutes, i had gone 2.66 miles, so that's a plus for sure. Thank God there is some kind of silver lining to the workout. I plan to do a couple of yoga classes in the morning in my living room. I hope it is a good day tomorrow.

So, I actually got up this morning (early) and completed Week4 again. I woke up at 5 and was at the gym by 5:30. I'm hoping it will become easier with time (to get up earlier that is). I was able to finish the full cycle with only a little struggle today. I also walked out the rest of the 45 mins and finished with a distance of 2.69. Yay, a little more progress!! :)

Last night, Scott and I ran at the college at 9:30PM and it was still 95 degrees. It was hot, hot, hot. But we finished Week4 Day3. We both struggled with the 5 minute runs, and we both agreed that we could have walked faster than we were running...BUT we finished. I felt so good afterwards!!!

I also went and got some Brooks Running Shoes earlier in the day and so far, I like them. I am excited about them. I hpe everyone is having a blessed weekend.

This morning I got up early and headed to the gym to do W5D1 which consists of:

Walk 5 mins
Jog 5 mins
Walk 3 mins
Jog 5 mins
Walk 3 mins
Jog 5 mins

So, I was able to finish this run as scheduled, and then I finished walking the remaining amount of time (45 minutes). I did get a bit of a cramp after the third 5 minute session, so I walked after that. My distance improved a little again...woo who!!! My distance was 2.72 miles after 45 minutes.

Saturday night I went to the gym (with my new running shoes)

http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h315/gudrench3/Capture.jpg

W5D2 schedule is:

Walk 5 mins
Jog 8 mins
Walk 5 mins
Jog 8 mins

I had to cut each run down by about 30 seconds, but I did make myself run for another 3 minute interval during the last 15 minutes of my workout. Remember, I always set the clock to 45 minutes and walk the remaining time. My distance was 2.72. Woo who!!! It's progress!!! :)

This morning I got up early and headed to the gym! I was surprised at how much busier it was on Wednesday vs. a Tuesday or Thursday. Anyway, I decided to re-do my last work out since I wimped out a bit on the run times. So, here is the C25K plan:

Walk 5 mins
Jog 8 mins
Walk 5 mins
Jog 8 mins

So, I'm happy to report that I was able to finish both 8 minute sessions this time, and I decided to add another 5 minute run towards the end of my 45 minute run. Yay!!! My distance was even a bit further...2.80 miles in 45 minutes (include the warm up and cool down). :dance3:

I hope yall are having a wonderful and blessed day!!!!:hippie:

This morning Scott and I headed to the local college to run outside. Boy how different it is to run outside vs. on the treadmill. I was able to finish a lap which ended up running for 12 minutes...the longest I've ever run at one time. I had to stop at the Jeep and get some water though. I hate it when I don't drink enough water the day before and pay for it the next morning. Lesson learned here though...I've got to stay extra hydrated for myself all the time. Also, we have decided to run outside from now until the 5k race. It's on October 1st, so we still have about a month to go. Anyway, we walked for 5 minutes and ran for the remainder of the lap. Then we walked for another 4-5 minutes and ran some more. We walked a third lap just to equal 3 miles. My legs were a bit tired after this run, so I really need to work on that too. I also got a cramp in the middle of my first lap, but I was able to continue running and work through it...yay!!! I will officially weigh in on Tuesday, so hopefully there will be some change on the scale. I've been holding steady for a while around the same numbers...anywhere from 197-200lbs. I just can't seem to get below that number for some reason. I will be working on the eating side and portion side again too. I'm doing all this hard work, I need to fuel my body.

Hey there-- I was so happy to catch up with your progress. I am SO IMPRESSED with your commitment. And your boyfriend is so supportive of your goals, out there running with ya! My poor BF... my ugliest moments are definitely when I'm running and tired and frustrated at very very tiny things. I wanted him to either run on ahead at his own speed, or run WITH me (i.e. not faster than me and pushing me to go faster). So I made him follow the "see my butt" rule-- if you can't see my butt, you're running too fast!!! :rotfl:

In terms of your plateau--esp. while training--man, I have BEEN THERE. Last year when I trained for the half marathon, I was working SO HARD. I didn't weigh myself the whole time, and I weighed in the day that I did the race. And I was like-- wait, what? 176? I was 175 four months ago!!! And some of that is, OF COURSE, the old adage that muscle is heavier than fat, but still. For all that work, I wasn't losing weight.

I really, really believe that tracking your calories and planning the calories you're going to eat over the course of the day WORKS. I was so resistant to this for SO long, but I've already lost over 10 pounds over the course of about 6 weeks just from making that change. I have been so surprised how predictable the weight loss has been, and I feel so confident it's going to continue at the same rate.

I think the thing is that when you work out, you are hungrier and more food feels like the right amount of food. And of course you DO need more food, but (for a lot of people, myself included, I guess) not as much as your body tells you that you need. So consider tracking your calories, even if it is a pain. If it feels like you're not fueling enough you could save some higher-calorie fruits like bananas or grapes for your pre-run snack, and then save some of your higher-protein/lower-calorie snacks (like hard-boiled eggs or Greek yogurt) for right afterwards.

Also, man, it sounds like you're killing it... Running 12 minutes at once is a lot of progress. Can you link me to this training plan you're using??? I'm so inspired, and might want to do a 5k myself sometime this fall!!!

I also love the format that you use with your short term goals!! I think I will need to do some of that... hmm......

Best of luck, can't wait to read more!!!

Hey there, I'm so sorry, I haven't updated in a while! I am still so excited to "meet" you and get to know you a bit! :) I will post a picture or two of my kitty cats and all. I was thinking that I might post somepictures of my past trips too. It might be enough to get me back in the mood.

I'm struggling right now with my running...in fact both Scott and I are. Running outside is so much harder than running on the treadmill. :( I think we are going to head back to the gym and redo week 5 again. Then, maybe try week 5 outside again. I know part of the reason is because we haven't stayed committed to the program schedule. Oh, you asked about the C25K! It's the Couch to 5K program. You can find all of the information at coolrunnings.com. They also have a facebook page with a lot of great information.

I'm thinking that I may have something going on with my hormones or thyroid or something. I'm having hot flashes one second and freezing to death the next second. I'm only 31, and shouldn't have hot flashes yet...right? I have a doctor's appointment at the end of this month to see what's going on.

I will do another update soon! :)

Sorry you've been struggling... the transition off of the treadmill was really hard from what I remember. I remember that my strides were pretty choppy at first, and that my legs felt really heavy. Good idea to redo the weeks you're struggling with until you can start to keep up with the schedule. It would be so easy to get discouraged and give up (which I've done!!! now, now, even now... :guilty:), and I'm so glad you haven't!! I will definitely check out the C25K program, thanks for the info!

I'm so happy you got a chance to check in! Looking forward to talking more!

Well, it has been a while since I have posted on here...and sadly that means it has been a while since I have gotten out and exervised or run. Here are a couple of things that have happened since my last update. I went to the doctor and found out that my thyroid is a little low, so they have put me on some meds to see if it will help. I think it has helped a little bit. I got back on monday to get my blood retested, so we will see what that says. Scott and I went on a little vacation. It was so nice. We went to Pennsylvania. We visited the following cities: Gettysburg (AMAZING), Hershey (YUMMY), Philadelphia (several days here-interesting), and Atlantic City (fun). We had an awesome time. AND, with all that we ate and such, I managed to NOT gain a single pound while on vacation. I'm so exicted about that. We both took workout clothes but never used them. :( But, we had a great time!!!

So, now we are back on it. Last night, we went to the gym. I walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes (6 of those minutes were spent running). It is amazing how quickly you lose the lung capacity that you had gained. Oh well, I'll just have to get it back. We then went to the weights and worked on legs for a while.

treadmill (50 minutes, ran for 6)
leg presses (3 sets of 8 with 90 pounds)
stiff legged dead lifts (3 sets of 8 with 25 pounds)
lunges (2 sets of 8, no weight)
calf raises (2 sets of 12, no weight)

I am sore today...from the waist down! Woo who!

Welcome back Angie! Don't worry about the stopping and the starting but the main thing is that you are back! Hopefully those tyroid meds will help keep your body back on track and GREAT job going on vacation and not gaining! Now that is impressive!

Ok, I have fallen off the wagon and have been dragging along behind it. :( I am almost back up to my highest weight of 215.

On 1/1/12 I weighed in at 212 on my scale at home. :scared1: I have just let myself go during these last two months of the year. I did great on vacaation in October, but have since fallen off of everything good for me. I haven't exercised or been eating right lately. It's not good! :(

So, I'm back on. I have been reading about the marathons and 1/2 marathons at Disney World and have plans of doing either the Princess or the WDW 1/2 marathon in 2013. My precious aunt has gotten me excited about running at WDW again.

Here are my plans for today...go to the gym, do at least an hour of cardio (walking on the treadmill) and maybe look at the new equipment my gym got during the Christmas Holiday. I am also going to write out a plan for the meals that I plan on making at home this week and going to the store and getting them. My boyfriend has been in Nebraska for 10 days (he's the cook in the family), so I'm hoping to surprise him with a nice meal when he gets home. I have been cleaning off and on while he's been gone, but I haven't done near the amount that I should have been. I have gotten very lazy (obviously) during these last two months. So, it is time that I do something different. :0)

I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and Thanksgiving with their families and friends. This Christmas was the best we have had since my mom passed. We had lots of family around and had lots of kids there to watch open their gifts. It was a great memory.

:dance3: I'm putting the dancing smileys here to end on a happy note. I hope to write in my journal every day and report on what my plans are for each day and how it went yesterday.

Wow, I just went back to the first post of my journal with was 1/11/11 (a year ago) and sadly, my goals are EXACTLY THE SAME as last years. That's not good. Here they are (copied fro the first post):

Wow, I think it is good for me to see that NOTHING HAS CHANGED in a year!!! Normally, I look back on the year and think that I've done really good that year...and I did do really good during the year. BUT, how good is it really if I start each year at the same point. Anyway, I hope this will be a good rememinder to myself that only I can make the changes needed for long term success. Success is good but it will be GREAT in the long term. Sorry for all of the caps, but I am a little angry at myself. More to come, I'm sure!!!

Hi Angie,

Just wanted to send some encouragement! I saw your post on the 2012 photo thread.

I started C25K in March of 2011, and I finished the Princess Half this year. I am quite slow, and I walked more than ran, but I did it, and I'm betting you can too! I did my first 5K in May, and then 10Ks in July and October, then the Princess in Feb. It was nice to have those increasing distances to aim for--like your short-term and long-term goals.

It has been hard watching others just zoom into a 30 minute 5K when after a year I still haven't broken a 40 minute 5K, despite finishing a half marathon, but hey, I'm still lapping everyone on the couch. I'm doing c25k again to work on more continuous running (my half training included a LOT of walking), so I'm in it (virtually) with you.

Looking forward to your 2013 race report! Maybe I'll see you there!

Thank you both so much for the support!!! I really needed a "Mom's" support, yall don't know how much I appreciate both of yall. I am struggling, struggling big time. I just can't seem to get motivated to get moving. You'd think the loss of my Mom and seeing her battle cancer would be enough to push me forward...but it hasn't. You'd also think the thought of wanting to feel better (about myself and just in general) would be enough to kick start me again, but it hasn't. I'm hoping the thought of running the Princess 1/2 next year will get me back on board. I keep seeing pictures and reports of it and it looks like an AMAZING race and something I totally want to do so bad.

I just bought a cheap RunDsiney shirt (cheap because it has last year's date on it) but I don't care...I just need something to get me excited about it again.

Again, thank you again for the support and for "listening" to me rant! It's over now...I've GOT to do this!!! Thanks again Mamas!!! :lovestruc

Ok, so I had a stern talking to myself and have decided to get back on board with this whole health thing. :) So, here is my plan of action...each weekend plan meals for each day of the week (dinner) as well as two snacks each day. I am also going to start the C25K program again and on my non walk/run days, do something else in the exercise arena. So, here is how my week is laid out for exercise:
Monday - Rest day (busiest day at work)
Tuesday - C25K (gym)
Wednesday - Walk on treadmill for 20 minutes, then focus on biceps, triceps, chest, and back
Thursday - C25K (gym)
Friday - Walk on treadmill for 20 minutes, then focus on abs and shoulders
Saturday - C25K (outside)
Sunday - Walk on treadmill for 20 minutes, then focus on legs and lower body

So, I started this on April 1st (yesterday) and I ended up working on the eliptical machine that my Dad and Dianne gave us for 30 minutes. I went 5.43 miles. Then, I pulled some weeds so we will count that as lower body work for sure. My legs were buring by the end of the 30 minutes.

TODAY: Tonight, we will cut up all of the vegetables for our taco salads and clean the fruit Scott bought at the store last night. I've had a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast and have an apple planned for a snack. We didn't get the grapes cleaned, so I didn't bring a second snack for the day. Maybe I will get one at lunch time. :)

Let's take a look at my goals...long term and short term:

Short Term
1) Eat meals at home each day this week (except one night): we bought all the food, so let's hope we do it
2) Work out each night as planned or at least do SOMETHING each night: so far so good - elipical at home, 30 minutes, 5.43 miles
3) Eat two snacks a day this week: eating an apple now

Mid Term
1) Lose ten pounds this month (kind of a hefty goal, but I hope I can do it): this morning my scale at home said 213.4
2) Get into smaller pants size by May: currently barely squeezing into my size 16s

Long Term
1) Run the Cross Roads 5k in October 2012
2) Run Disney Princess Half in February 2013
3) Learn to enjoy exercising
4) Learn to enjoy eating healthy foods
5) Learn to love the way I will feel when I am healthier :lovestruc
6) Get down to a healthy goal weight of 145 or so. I'm a short girl, so that may even be too much...we will see.

I hope everyone has a blessed day. I'm trying to remember to be thankful for everything around me...my family, my kitty cats, my friends, my co-workers, my job, and so much more. Happy Monday!!!!

Last night Scott and I went to the college to do 3 rounds (which equals three miles). We walked the first round just fine...it was really windy but nice. He is quite a bit taller than me (I'm 5'4 and he is 6'1), so I felt like I was almost running just to keep up with him. I decided I would try the C25k W1D1 on the second round. He walked the whole time. So, I started the jog for 60 seconds, walk for 90 seconds routine for the second round of our walk. I was able to finish it...woo who. And then we walked the third round. It was nice to fill like I accomplised something again. Today we have been pretty lazy (me DISing and him watching tv). But, we are planning on going to the gym and working on arms for a bit. Yay!!!

We had a pretty good week as far as the food area is concerened. We ate most nights at home this week. We didn't exercise though, so we still have a long way to go. But, you have to start (over) somewhere right?

Just thinking about the plan to run the Princess 1/2 and hoping I will keep up the training program since I have told so many folks that I'm doing it. ;)

I hope everyone is having a blessed Easter weekend. Let's remember the reason for this season too. I do miss my Momma during times like this. I can't help but think that we'd all be meeting up for a big family weekend if she were still here. But, looks like it will just be me and Scott this year. Again, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and time with their loved ones (if it works out).

Wow, 10 months and two days until the 2013 Princess Half Marathon and I'm not doing enough to get to that goal. I need to remind myself that this trip isn't just for me, my dear Aunt will be going with me to cheer me on and she can't wait for this trip either. We send emails about once a week or so dreaming about our trip to WDW. I cannot let her down as she needs/deserves this vacation as much or more than I do.

Yesterday at work, my dear friend walked into my office and asked me to walk with her. I first said no, I'm too busy. She pointed to the Princess Decal I have hanging in my office and said if you don't get started, you'll never get here. SHE IS SO RIGHT!!! We went down stairs and walked a mile during one of our "Smoke Breaks." Thanks Barbra, I needed to be reminded of my ultimate goal.

So, this morning I am feeling pretty good. Doing a little DISing and getting motivated for the day. I just need to be more active in everything I do. I'd like to get to the gym today, mow the yard, dishes, laundry, and pick up around the house a bit today. I am also going to try and get back to updating this journal at least every other day if not every day.

I hope everyone has a blessed Saturday!!!!

Just a quick update to get myself back in the habit of loggin on and updating this almost daily! So, I haven't actually done anything on the exercise side of things lately, but my eating has been going better lately. Yesterday, Scott and I went to hear Tim Tebow speak at a Christian concert. It was such an awsome message for kids and adults to hear. My favorite thing he said was a quote he took from someone that said, "I don't know what my future holds, but I DO know WHO holds my future. It was an awesome thing to hear. Then, I listened to Joel Osteen that night and he asked, "what have you been putting off for years now? And what are you going to do to change it? You don't want to live in a world or regrets." It was like he was talking directly to ME! I have been putting off making my life healthier in every way for so many years now, it is time for ME to do something about it. I don't want to have any regrets. My wonderful Mother passed away when she was 49 years old. None of know how much time we have on this earth, so I need to start living everyday in the now and stop procrastinating.

So, today I have already walked a mile in my morning "smoke break" with Barbra. I need to start doing this twice a day. I feel so much better and think so much clearer when I have walked. I also had a healthy lunch at Strawberry Fields with my boyfriend. We ate outside and it was so nice. I hope to walk this afternoon at work as well. I figure my health is worth me having to stay some extra time to make up that time if needed. I think I had kind of gotten things out of order in terms or real importance.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Monday. I plan to keep drinking my water and staying active. Too bad I forgot my pedometer today. :( Boo! Oh well, maybe I will remember it tomorrow. :)

Well, hm, so it has been a while again...and we all know what that means...it's been a while iin the exercising area too. But, I have been working out a little bit lately. I got an IPhone at work and have downloaded the myfitnesspal app...and LOVE IT SO MUCH! I can keep track of all of my food and exercise so easily...it love it. I have been to the gym a couple of time and walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes and ran for a minute every 5 minute internals. Last time I did this, I was able to get to 3.5 miles. That is the most I've done on the treadmill in a LONG time.

Today, B and I walked for 30 minutes at work and we lifted weights in her office for a bit. I used 10 pound weights. We did 2 sets of 10 of each of the following exercise: bicep curls, hammer curls, overhead extensions, bent over kick backs, bent over rows. We were both feeling it by the end of the session. :) It isn't much, but it is a start.

My brother and SIL are working out right now and looking so good. I am so proud of them. My dad is even getting into it. He called me yesterday morning to say that he walked two miles that morning and today he went and got himself some better shoes...yay!

I hope everyone has a great day. I am about to walk downstairs for 30 more minutes and might go to gym for more lifting tonight. I hope to get up and jog/walk tomorrow morning. :) I can do this...I have to do this!!!

Two update dates in a row...yay! Haha, celebrate the little things...right? :)

I just got back from walking for 30 minutes on the first floor at work. Today, we were able to complete 17 laps...which is just over 1.5 miles...woo who! We will also do some weights in our office in just a little bit. Again, it isn't much but it does add up....some day, it will add up.

Wow, two updates on the same day!!! :cool1:

I just got done jogging/walking on the treadmill for 60 minutes total. This time I ran for 1.5 minutes every 5 minutes. So, I tallied that up and I ended up running for a total of 15 minutes...woo who. My distance tonight was 3.58 miles. That is a little progress, so I am VERY EXCITED about it.

Kind of bummed though...couldn't wait to come home and share my workout results with Scott and he isn't here. He is at his sister's apartment. :( So, I figured, hey I'll come share it with strangers (if anyone is even reading this). ;)

Hope yall had a great day!!!

So, I almost don't want to admit this but it is an update. I let myself get back up to 215 again. :( Boo! But, I just checked the manual scale at my office and it said 212 this morning. Not great, but still better than 215!!! There is another scale in the office that is digital and it said 210...but I like the manual scale better because I can see the marker going further and further to the left each time (hopefully anyway).

HAPPY FRIDAY everyone...I hope you all have a great and blessed weekend.

Well, I weighed in yesterday at the scale in the office and it said 210.8....woo who. That means I am at least on my way back down. I just finished walking 30 minutes at the office and plan to do something tonight. This past Sunday, I got up early and walked/jogged for four laps around the college which means that is four miles. It is the most I've done as far as distance in a long, long time. Progress, progress!!! 38 weeks until my dream race and vacation! :)

Happy Friday!!! YAY!!
