We're making our ADRs and RFC came up as being on dining plan. Is this correct? I am surprised, wished I had known sooner. We really enjoy eating there.

It is not on the DDP.

Disney's website shows restaurants as accepting the dining plan even if all they accept is the Premium Dining Plan. We almost figured this out the hard way when we made a last minute ADR at Fulton's because we thought it was on the dining plan. Luckily, as we were on our way to DTD, I decided to check on the DIS to see if it was actually on the dining plan and found out it wasn't. Otherwise, it would have been quite a shock when the check came.

The other restaurants I know of that show up like that are Portobello and T-Rex.

I called Disney reservations tonight with the exact same question! The rep confirmed that any restaurants that are accepted by any level of the dining plan will show up in the online reservations tool, but Rainforest Cafe is only for the Premium DDP.

This just happened to me a few minutes ago. I decided to see if there was anything open for lunch at DTD, and Rainforest Cafe came up. I made the reservation and then on the confirmation page, I noticed a chart about half way down. It showed the number of Dining Credits that would be used for this meal, broken down by DDP-type. Only the Platinum Dining Plan was listed, so I quickly canceled my reservation :(

Thank you all very much...I thought I was crazy, I know I saw dining plan, didn't realize it was Premium.

Again, thank you all for your input...You saved me embarrassment

This ticks me off -- lots of restaurants come up that way: Yak & Yeti, Tutto Italiano, etc. I spent HOURS researching restaurants months ago, made my reservations, and now find out that these places no longer accept the regular dining plan. Gah.

The restaurants you named do except the dining plan.

Only if you have the Deluxe Dining plan. They don't accept the regular dining plan. (At least this is what the CM told me on the phone last night. I was confused because when I clicked the "Dining Plan Info" link that shows credits used, there were slash ("--") marks through the quick serve and regular dining options. There was a "1" under Deluxe. I called and the CM verified that the regular dining plan was not accepted there.

It sounded fishy to me, so I'm going to call again today.

Not true - Tutto and Yak and Yeti both accept the DDP - they are 1 TS credit. There are not restaurants that only accept the deluxe plan and restaurants that accept the basic plan. They either accept either or they don't - the difference is in how many credits you get per day on the plans.

:mad:I spent HOURS arranging my ADRs for Feb trip.....only to figure out some only took the DELUXE plan!
How annoying is that?

When I used the plan 2 years ago.....there were ALOT more options then now.

This is the last time I will use the Dining Plan....it has become a huge ripoff!:sad2:

No restaurants only take Deluxe and not the regular. Some that aren't on the DDP will accept the Premium plan. There is a glitch on the WDW site where they've marked DxDP but not DDP on some restaurants.
