I'm still trying to find out what time SAB closes at night in December? Does anyone know for sure or does anyone know the # for Beach club that I can call?

It depends on what part of December. The first two weeks it closes at 6:00pm. The last two weeks it seems to change every year.

Even if you call them now they probably won't be able to give you a definite answer. A lot of it depends on how busy they are. ANd it's always subject to change.

Wow....that is early! Do the quiet pools stay open later?

They are open 24 hours, but no lifeguards.

For me, that is a problem!!! As someone else said, 6:00 o'clock is SO Early!! My son loves to swim at night and we love relaxing by a pool with a drink-Usually a quiet pool is TOO quiet if you know what I mean. In December at PO-FQ, the pool and bar were open late and the pool was all lit up. My son loved swimming. Also, at the WL-he swam until Midnight some nights. The bar was right inside-My husband and I could go get drinks and relax by the pool or in the hot tub. We may stay at WL next December if SAB really does close at 6:00 o'clock.

I think the closing time actually refers to the time at which the lifeguards go off-duty. I have seen several posts on the boards here where people were in SAB well after closing time.

I would definitely call down to YC direct and ask just what the policy is. I think as long as you're not making a huge amount of noise they won't really bother you.

You should be able to get the phone number from http://www.disneyworld.com

Be sure to ask specifically if guests are allowed to swim in SAB after closing and the lifeguards leave. While this is OK at other pools, it may not apply to SAB.

FWIW, even if the pools are open late, it's my understanding that when the lifeguards leave, the water slides close.

We have stayed at the Beach Club just about every December (usually the 2nd week) over the last six years. SAB is usually open from 10:00 am to 6:00 PM. You are not allowed to swim in SAB after it closes; the enterances to the pool are usually chained off. You can reach the Beach Club Resort at 407-934-8000 and the Yacht Club Resort at 407-934-7000.
