I'm not exactly sure where to post this so I'm trying it here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I opened a photobucket account 11/09 when I started here on the DIS. I upgraded it to Pro in March. Last time I was 'on' it was in November and all was well. Well...no more. Now I've got "nothin'". I'm logged on but no px show. It says it's loading but it never loads. I end up with nothing but titles where px should be or big empty boxes with little red x's in the corner. My Trip Reports now have no px...not even URL's. Just empty spaces where the px used to be. I emailed photobucket early yesterday and still have heard nothing.

Doesn't look good does it?

There's no way I can ever recreate those TR's. There were probably close to 1000 px on them. UGH!

ok...new info. I posted this question elsewhere on the DIS and was told that THEY could see my px on my TR (when I checked the same post on the same thread I see nothing). This of course suggests it's my computer right? Of course I'm not at all tech savvy.

This is a brand new computer (November) and I was able to access my photobucket account on it last month. Any ideas what could have happened in a matter of a month?

Yep, I see all your pics also.

Try deleting your temporary internet files, temps, and cookies.

Tried that and, presuming I'm doing it correctly, it hasn't made any difference.
Thanx for the suggestion though :)

At least I now know they still exist. That's certainly a weight off my shoulders LOL

Can you see other people's Photobucket pictures?

Well, I can see other people's photos on TR's and such but of course don't know if they are from photobucket. The photobucket site itself looks fine EXCEPT for my photos. This is so bizarre:confused3

(edited to add: if you use photobucket with your photos in "Mark's Photo Trip Report" than the answer is yes because I can see them fine)

I had a similar issue last week and it turned out to be my router. My photobucket page was not loading in in a timely fashion and all I got were red x's everywhere. I reset my router and then everything was fine again.

Of course before I knew how to 'reset' a router I would have to know what a router was LOL

Thanx for the idea though. Sounds promising.

Is it possible for someone to talk me through the process or is it too complicated?

btw - you guys are great...thanx so much all for trying to help:)

The router is the box that provides wireless internet in your home. All you need to do is unplug it for a few seconds the plug it back in and it will reset. If you do not have wireless then do the same with your modem.

OK, tried that but no change. Photobucket finally got back to me and suggested that my problem was simply that I had not logged in and out since November 20th. HA! Should be that simple. Wheat I did get though, when I did as they suggested and tried to log in again, was a message telling me there was something wrong with the connection and we should call our provider. Odd thing is that photobucket is the only site I'm having trouble with. Strange huh?

Do you have a firewall installed? Maybe it is blocking access to Photobucket.

Forgive my ignorance but...what is a firewall and if it did somehow get installed since I was last on Photobucket, how would I uninstall it? (and how would I know it was installed in the first place?)
