View Full Version : Excursions with a 2 year old?

I have been starting to look into some excursions for our trip in November. A lot of the excursions are for ages 3 and up, some 5 and up and that is understandable. I guess they would not allow the entire family to go on one of these excursions and have a parent sit with the 2 year old in the boat? Anyone have any recommendations for a fun excursion they have done with a little one? Our stops will be Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Would love to see some of Grand Cayman. Thanks in advance.

we had a problem with this on our nov/dec trip as we had a two year old. Anything saying 3 and up, he couldn't do. We ended up doing teh atlantis beach day (he was free). If you have questions about specific excursions, I can answer them.

The Passporter books have great reviews on the excursions and list the ages.
Our kids were each 2 when we did our first DCL cruise. We tend to stick with the beach excursions, or short excursions with little walking. Our first Western we did the short semi-sub excursion in Grand Cayman, but my son didn't really get it and we found it too claustrophobic and too boring for us. If I had to do it over, I'd probably take a cab to some place on 7 mile beach and hang out there for a few hours before heading back to the boat.
On our last Western that stopped in Cozumel, we booked our own excursion to Nachi Cocom. Real young kids are free, and they charged less for my 5 yr old as well, making it much cheaper than DCL. Really easy to take a taxi there. Plus they have a pool there, which is a great break to get the little ones out of the sand and into the water without having to worry about waves, sea life, etc.
