View Full Version : GF -- Main Bldg. concierge, but what about MK view?

My family is visiting the GF 10/6 thru 10/10. We've stayed at GF before, but always in the outer buildings. We've always had a MK view from these room, and the view was nice.
Personally, we stayed at the Contemporary one time and had the best MK view ever, but I was out-voted, so we're staying at the GF.
My question is ... they have a concierge room in the Main Bldg. with possibly at MK view. I wonder if the Main Bldg has really, really good views because the price of the room is really, really expensive! Oh well ... it's Disneyworld!
Any advice would be great.
Thanks, Libby

Hi Libby and welcome to the Dis! Toward the top of the this board is a thread, "R U looking for your favorite Resort Faq Thread." If you click on that, you will see the Grand Floridian thread which was started by CaliforniaDreaming and is just awesome. You should find plenty of info there and I am sure other Disers will be along to help with your question. Have a great time!

*Most* of the rooms (at least the ones I've had) in the main building DO have great views! I would certainly still specify that I want MK view though, just to be sure.

Hi Libby,
We stayed in the main building this past July and had an incredible view of the castle. Our room number was 4404. We were located on the 4th floor, the same as the concierge lounge and there were no rooms above us. The rooms 4401-4409 were down a long hallway, which made it very quiet. We hardly had any hallway noise. It was a bit of a walk to the elevators though, as they were up around room #4421. I think between the view and the quiet, it was just perfect.

Thank you all so much for the information.
My husband thinks I need therapy because everytime he comes in I'm on the message boards for Disney. I tell him that our Disney trips go much smoother because of careful planning (it's actually fun planning, but he doesn't have to know) and because there are message boards!
The information was exactly what I needed. I needed to know the inside scoop on the rooms and where they are.
Have a great rest of the week.
Libby
