Hi I just book lunch in Feb online and it says you can use the dining plan.
I entered my confirmation number for my trip that has free dining attached
I used my visa but it was for a hold only and not charged.
The confirmation email also states this.
I can not how ever get a confirmation from the Disney dining phone line, they don't know and said to bring my print out with me and I should be ok...anyone with info out there. :confused3

if I am reading the DDP correctly on the WDW website it is on the dining plan and if at the Brown Derby I think it is 2 TS

It is not included in the 2011 DDP brochure at all.
It's always possible since both of the Dine with an Imagineer restaurants are 2 credit locations, but I have never heard of that being available. I do see what you saw on the website though - it says DDP accepted on the Dine with an Imagineer page.
I guess I just wouldn't be 100% convinced without first hand reports since (a) it's not in the brochure, (b) I never heard of that possibility before, and (c) also there are often strange glitchy things on the dining website that are not true.

I do not have any confirmation of this, but I thought it was only included if you are on the Premium or Platinum plans.

No, you can't currently do the Imagineer special lunch on the dining plan. The restaurant, however, is on the plan.
I don't know what to tell you if even the phone agents don't know but this has never been a dining plan offering. Unless we get reports from people actually using the plan to pay for the Imagineer lunch I think you should anticipate paying cash for this meal. It wouldn't be the first time the website was incorrect.

This year when I booked the lunch a credit card was taken but I was told it would not be charged until we did the experience. That might be why you haven't been charged.

No, it is still only available on the premium and platinum plans. There was a recent thread from someone planning her honeymoon who called to confirm the current status.
The Disney website is just very unclear when it comes to restaurants and experiences that are only available on certain plans.
