Hello,

We will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan for 3 nights in February. Here is what I have planned so far:

Night of arrival: CS at POR (Where we will be staying)

Day 1: Tusker House for breakfast, CS at DTD for lunch (thinking Wolfgang Puck express), and O'hana's for dinner.

Day 2: Crystal Palace for breakfast, CS for lunch (somewhere in MK) and CRT for dinner.

Day 3: 1900 Park Fair for breakfast, and then checkout of resort to head to our Disney Cruise.

Now, I am debating if I should make ADR's at TS restaurants instead of cs meals for lunch on day 1 and day 2. I really want to get my money's worth with the deluxe dining plan, but I also am afraid of having 3 reservations per day. I have a 3 year old so I get nervous about having too much of a set schedule. After our cruise we will be at WDW for another 8 days (staying in a condo so no dining plan) so I am not worried about spending too much time in restaurants the first 3 nights since I know we will have plenty of time at the parks after our cruise.

I am mostly concerned about day 2 at MK. We have ADR's at crystal palace at 8:15AM and then ADR's at CRT at 7PM, so it will be a long day. I was hoping to be able to go back to POR during the day for a nap for my dd3. She has an appt. at BBB in MK at 5PM so I figuring we need to leave MK at 12PM to get to POR by 1PM so she can nap until 3 or so and then head back to MK in time for her appt. Doesn't leave any time in there for a TS meal.

Any suggestions? Advice? If I did TS for lunch on day 2 I probably would go out of MK for that. Maybe a TS restaurant at a resort??
Will I not be getting my money's worth on the DDP if I do 3 CS meals during my 3 night stay?

Thanks!!

Okay, let's look at it per day. Using $25 for breakfast, just to keep it simple and doing all adult meals.

Arrival: CS POR $15 = $15

Day 1: Tusker House $25 CS at DTD for lunch $22, and O'hana's $35 = $82

Day 2: Crystal Palace $25, CS for lunch $20 and CRT $55. = $100

Day 3: 1900 Park Fair $25 =$25

Grand Total $222 + $13 Tax = $235

DDP costs $72/day = $216 + 2 Snacks/day and the Resort Cup.

So you come out ahead no matter what you do. Not a great savings, but a savings.

Now, if instead of CS on arrival day, you go to Boatwrights, that meal goes up to about $35. Day 1 lunch could be at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe or Ranglan Road, both of which have more choices than WPE and should not take much longer and can be shorter. It took us 45 minutes to get into WPE last week, then 25 minute wait for the meal (Pizza and spaghetti). You can generally park closer to WPC and Ranglan Rd also. On day 2 instead of eating lunch at MK, why not go back to POR and eat lunch there, the cost will be about the same; but, it should take less time and be less stressful.

Have fun!

I was going to suggest the same thing as Krmrr and do TS instead of CS for your arrival day and at DTD.

I REALLY like Raglan Road. They have a Goat's Town salad that is YUMMY! It is an appetizer on the lunch menu and the entree on the dinner (or was when I was there) The burger was also good and so was the fish and chips.

I'm not sure what time you are arriving but that might be a good opportunity to have a nice sit down meal at another resort.
