Have you tried the clone tool?

What photo editing program are you using?

Karen
P.S. I edited it in Photoshop to show you but I can't figure out how to download it back to the forum.

Sorry, the forum says I can't post images or links yet.

is what I used to make this: I flipped the head, adjusted color and contrast,
did some cloning on the couch and background, and even used the smudge tool to give her a tiny smile. It's all about layers and selections, there are a ton of tutorials on youtube, or if you have the time, I would take a class. You can do this sort of thing in Elements, as well. Good Luck! Happy to answer any questions.

So sorry to be wasting time - I'm used to downloading pictures directly from my computer. My new Photobucket account had a glitch in it but seems to be working now.

GIMP seems to have a lot of problems. You might be better off with Photoshop or Elements. You could also try Print Artist or Print Shop.

Here's another site for GIMP photo retouching tips.
