What does everyone do when they get in and out of Cindy's before opening?

I've heard that if you manage to get to certain rides first you can ride with characters? Anything special to know about this situation? Maybe head to space mountain? What would you do?

We headed straight to Dumbo and got on the first ride of the day. Unfortunately, there were no characters on it. Tigger and Eeyore were on the Pooh ride, but we didn't get to ride with them.

We were in and out before opening last Monday. We would have headed straight for a ride. However, I'd decided I wanted to get my 2yr old DD's first hair cut at WDW. We went straight to the barber shop instead. It was a good thing we did, by the time both girls got their hair cut there was quite a line!

We like to take advantage of the great photo oppertunities that come with a deserted Main Street. Of course, it would probably be better if you get there early and took pictures before breakfast, as it would be even more deserted. Otherwise, I've heard that Pooh and friends ride the Pooh ride in the morning, and Mickey and Minnie can be spotted on Dumbo. Also, Aladdin and the Genie went for one spin on the Magic Carpets, but that was by chance, and around 10 AM, so it depended on if you were lucky enough to be in the right spot in line.

We saw Pooh and tigger on the pooh ride then went to the teacups and Alice and the Madd hatter rode the same time as us. it was great.

We waited right outside Cindy's for the rope drop and DD was choosen to open Fantasyland!!! It was a GREAT Disney moment!! AFter that was over, we ran to Dumbo to be the first one on. The only characters I saw were the ones that were in front of the castle at opening, they walked right past us to get to their backstage area.
