Thanks for the response on the WL. I've never stayed at Dixie Landings (PO-Riverside), in fact, I've never even visited! So, I'm interested in your thoughts on the difference between the Magnolia area and Alligator area. Everyone raves about this beautiful place and I'm completely in the dark about it.
You are so right about the small rooms at the WL--and its dark colors. We stayed for 3 nights and it was just enough. The Yacht Club was more to our liking as far as theming and expanse. Plus we were lucky enough to get a corner room with ywo windows. That seemed to make our room even larger, and brighter.
All the best, Wilma:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

P.S. would love to hear from others about the difference between Magnolia and Alligator:)

Hi Wilma. We've stayed in both sections. AB is more rustic. The bedposts almost look like tree branches!! Much more down-home. The buildings are just 2 levels. The landscaping is very lush and woods like. Very quiet. We stayed in bldg. 35 first floor on our first visit. It was about 3 mins. to the bus stop, 5 mins. to main pool and 7 mins to food court. But a very nice peaceful walk.
Magnolia Bend (the mansions) is much more formal. The rooms are done in a cherry like finish, brocade type drapes/bedspreads. The landscaping is also more formal. I believe most of the mansions are 3 floors, but there are elevators. We stayed in Magnolia Terrace, bldg. 85, second floor. Again it was quiet. It was less of a walk to the pool/food court. I would stay in the mansions again if I stayed at POR. We really love it there, but the family wants to give CBR a try this time.
