PS some of these were taken in almost total darkness so I did the best I could to lighten them up.

After seeing the first ones of your dog eyeing the hamster I was afraid of what I might see in the following pictures! I would've been too nervous to hold a camera.

I like the first one of the hamster and the dog the best -- the sense of anticipation with the dog's ears perked up and the hamster seemingly unaware of the dog's presence.

On another note, is he a German shepherd? My girls were really pushing me on Sunday to get another dog and that's one of the breeds that came up after I said IF we get another one, it would have to be a smart one!

The hamster should be glad he was with your Shepherd and not our Corgi's! At least one of them would have thought he was a tasty snack and the pictures would not have been appropriate for the board. :rolleyes1

LOL, yes, I wondered if people might worry about what they were about to see. :scared1:

Nope, they are buddies and this is a nightly routine. (I still keep an eye on things, though. ;) )

Yes, my dog is a German Shepherd. She is my 6th. Here's a link you may find helpful. http://www.gsrne.org/beforeuown.htm

Did you catch any of the Bird Feeding photos for the Summer Scavenger Hunt? After some of those, nothing would be inappropriate! :lmao:

Oh - I remember those photos..!!!! :sad2:

Linda - I just love those! Unlike others (;)) I knew that the photos would be cute ones! I love the ones with her ears - she is so interested!! The hamster doesn't look worried at all, so they are obviously very used to each other.
Pugrpooh - I can vouch for German Shepherds as well! I am sure that Charlotte (my GS and avatar) understands every word I say - whether she obeys them is sometimes a different story of course! :rotfl: But she is very good and gentle with smaller animals (dogs and cats - haven't tried a hamster yet!!)

I hope I haven't caused him any distress! Just tell him those kinds of things don't happen to good little hamsters that stay inside the house.
