I'm Chubby - but - I guess the first step is admitting it. :thumbsup2
This is me from about 5 minutes ago:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/IMG_9839.jpg
It's the best one my DH took. :) Apparently it's blurry because he couldn't stop laughing.
I'm 30 years old 5ft8in and currently weigh 184lbs. :headache: It's not my heaviest, I was once 265+ I was 9 months pregnant with my son at the time, but still... :scared1:
I have been training for the princess half marathon in February since November 8th and have lost close to 10lbs so far. My goal weight is around 155lbs so I have about 30lbs to lose. (I was 135lbs when I met my DH.... sucker!) :)
The thing is I don't want to make this all about weight loss. I want to get healthier and stronger. I joined XSport Fitness two Sundays ago and since then I have been working out 6 days a week. I'm addicted!!! I took advantage of their "one free time with a personal trainer" and found out a few things... 1) I have very bad posture 2) I'm borderline obese.
Ok... Chubby I'll except, I'll even admit that I'm fat, but borderline obese?? It's time to do something!
The Plan:
1) Continue eating healthy. I've been off gluten and processed sugars since I started in November. I have a wheat intolerance so the no gluten is easy since if I do eat it, I'll get sick. Surprisingly the sugar hasn't been to hard either. The reason I gave it up was because I have NO self control.
2) Work out at least 5 days a week.
3) Train for and complete the half marathon in February. Did I mention that I HATE running???
So far "The Plan" has been going well. My jeans are finally not skin tight right out of the dryer, but I'm not ready to go out and buy a size smaller yet.
Anyway - That's my story. I really just need a place to jot down my thoughts.
Thanks for reading!

Today's Work out:
BOOT CAMP
So the description of the class said, "all fitness levels." It lied!!! :upsidedow
First we did about 7 minutes of squats... really. I never thought they were going to end. Unfortunately they did because they were followed by 10 minutes of an abdominal work out. My core is very weak. VERY weak! After that torture was over the instructor told us to bring our water if needed and everyone started to leave the class. WHAT?!? Where are we going???He brought us to the basketball court and told us all to stand in a line. Ok... I can do this. He then proceeded to put what I can only discribe as a very large, very long rope in front of us and then instructed us to pick it up. We then had to hold the rope over our head and start running. In the first part of the workout I had the option to go at my own pace, if I couldn't do something I would modify it or take a small breather. You can't do that when you are attached to a rope with 15 other people! After around 3 minutes of running, he told us to drop the rope. Relief Then he told us to do 10 push-ups!!! Excuse me! After the push-ups we picked up the rope again and started to run. This part of the torture was repeated 4 times. We were then allowed to get a drink of water.
The next part had a name that I can't remember, but basically the first step was a squat, followed by a toe touch, then you walked your hands inch-worm style out so you could do a push-up. Then you walk your feet to your hands and jump. Sound like fun??? We did this until we were all the way to the other side of the basketball court. Then you had the choice of a crab walk or what I believe he called a bear walk back to the start.
Next... we had the privilege of doing a suicide run. (I think thats what he called it.) Its the type of exercise you see basketball players do where you run to a line on the court turn around and go back and then run a bit further each time. But each time we got to our destination we did another push-up.
We did that TWICE.
We then headed back to our original room where he joyously said we had enough time to workout our biceps.
Then... It was over. :cheer2: I made it...
The moral of the story... If it was that hard for me, then it must mean it's something I should do if I want to get stronger.
So I guess I'm going back next week. :thumbsup2

So around 3am I was woken up by a pain in my butt and abs. Not so painful that I couldn't fall back asleep, but painful enough that I know yesterdays workout worked.
I fell back asleep only to be woken up at 5am by my alarm clock telling me it was time to go to the gym, I told it to shut up and got out of bed 10 minutes later.
Today's WorkOut:
The treadmill.... I spent an hour on the treadmill today doing a walk/run four miles. For the 1/2 marathon you have to finish in an average of a 16 minute mile. My goal is to train at an average of a 15/14min mile.
I run around a 11 min. mile, so that means I can run one mile every 4 and be ok. :thumbsup2 My goal is to run more then that, but at least I know I will be able to finish!!!!
Tomorrow is my off day, but I'm thinking about swimming a few laps. I haven't tried the pool yet and it seems so inviting!

Natale: It sounds like you are doing a great job on your workouts. Yes, that bootcamp sounds tough! Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2
On a side note, I cannot, for the life of me, see where you have put that 184 pounds! You look great! Of course, I understand all your reasons for losing weight, but really, you look healthy. My son's school counselor informed him last year, in 4th grade, that he was borderline obese. I was shocked. Then, looking at the charts, he was. He's got a little belly, but he's a stocky muscular child. So, I don't put a ton of faith into those silly charts. ;)

Trust me all 184lbs is there. My weigh in is on Thursday, so hopefully it will be lower. :)
I hate the charts, especially for little kids. My DS was sooooo chubby when he was a baby, but now he's tall and thin.

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Yoga
This is the second Sunday I've taken Yoga. It was a different instructor today and I just didn't enjoy it as much. I'm still going to continue to workout on Sundays, but I may try something other then Yoga next week.
I'm kinda having a crappy weekend.
I didn't have a good day on Friday at work and that just kinda got my attitude down. Yesterday me and DH when on a date for the first time in a very long time and that was fun, but I couldn't shake the feelings from work. I think it may have also effected my attitude toward Yoga today.:confused
I'm really trying to just look forward to tomorrows workout and stay focused and positive, but there is a little voice in the back of my head that is trying to kick me down.
**Side note, my mom said that my hips are smaller and less pointy... I guess that's a complement.

Today's Workout: Run/Walk
I made it 5 miles today!!! Last week I was at four if this week goes well I want to increase it to 6 next week. :woohoo:
I was supposed to run yesterday but my legs hurt from yoga and I didn't want to hurt myself any further so I put of the run to today.
The only problem with that is I have my spin class tomorrow and I'm afraid I won't make it. Oh well, I'm still going!!!

You've got to try it!!! I was very afraid before my first class since I tried it years ago and couldn't make it through the whole class, but this instructor is amazing! She gives you an amazing workout while being incredibly entertaining, so much so that the hour is over before you know it. Then you walk in the locker room and realize that you are drenched with sweat. :thumbsup2

So after having a long conversation with myself....
TODAY'S WORKOUT: Bootcamp!!!
It once again was very difficult and quite a workout!! I think I strained something in my leg and am afraid that I won't be able to run tomorrow, I think I'll wait until the morning to decide. :headache: If my leg still hurts I'll spend the morning swimming and then run on Saturday.
Moral of the story.... I'll be going back to bootcamp next week. :thumbsup2
Thursday's weigh in..... 182
I was hoping for more, but I'll take it. I would think that working out (hard) six days a week would take the weight off faster then one of my facebook friends who is only drinking more water and walking occasionally, but, whatever.

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Swimming
My leg still hurt so I decided it would be a good idea not to run/walk 5 miles on a bum leg.
I swam for 60 minutes without stopping and without using my legs (it hurt when I did). It felt like a good workout while I was in the pool but not a hard workout - BUT - when I got out of the pool I really felt it. :thumbsup2
My leg doesn't really hurt while I am walking, so I'm thinking about going for a walk in the morning just to keep moving... not sure yet.

You are just doing great with those workouts. My goodness.
It's tough to watch others hardly do anything and lose weight. The good news is that you are learning life lessons and have a better chance of keeping it off. Plus, who wants a thin, soft body when they can have a thin, rock hard body? :thumbsup2I hope the leg feels good enough to run soon. I'm sporting my own injury and can't work out, so I know it stinks.

My leg feels fine but I didn't want to take a chance so I walked 90% of my workout. I did however push myself into staying on the treadmill for over 7miles!!!! That is over 1/2 of the 1/2 marathon!!
I was able to stay within the 16 per mile pace limit too. Every time I step foot on the treadmill I become more confident about being able to finish. :thumbsup2

Hey Natalie you are doing sooooo good! I hope you do well in the 1/2 I am going to run the 5K in September next year. I don't think at this point I'm ready I want to get my time down a lot for my 5K's I've been first for the past 2 almost 3 years but I have never been into running until my husband left for training this past September. I really wanted something to do while he was gone, so I picked up running.
You can take my suggestion or leave it not sure if you do weight training in your workouts or not. But I know for a fact they are very, very important. Most people freak out when they begin a weight training workout because they actually start to put on more pounds, but muscle weights more than fat so you are really cutting and toning you body. I do weight training twice a week and then cardio four times a week, along with soccer practice, Bikram Yoga and Belly Dance.
Good luck!

You might think about doing one or two more personal session with the trainer at the gym. Usually they can get you into a routine in 1-2 sessions so you will feel more comfortable on the equipment. If that is not in the budget there are on-line tutorials available. What you are doing in boot camp is likely a very good place to start. Just b/c you are not on the machines doesn't mean you are not strength training.

So, far I've won almost every 5K in my age group, not overall of course! My biggest rival is a 52 year old woman that has been running for longer than I've been alive. Haha she runs her 5K in like 19:00....>_<
I think the best thing to do as far as weights is to try the machines first if you have a gym you go to before free weights. Because machines will not let you get hurt nearly as easy as free weights. I usually do 2 to 3 sets on a machine, so say for instance you are doing the lateral pull down. I'd do 2 sets of 15 reps or 3 sets of 8-10 reps. The even better thing about machines is the have the correct way on them to execute the exercise so you can see what you need to do.
I don't work for Oxygen Magazine, but I do subscribe and I find their weight training to be very hard and fulfilling all at the same time. The page I'm linking here includes tons of different workouts you can do at home or the gym and it is both free weights and machines. Trust me I didn't start weight training until about 4 months ago. I hated it cause I was scared that I would hurt myself or get manly which is a lie BTW. Haha but I find that it really does enhance my workouts and my runs.

Nothing wrong with working out 7 days a week but just remember it's okay to take a rest day. :) Like for the week of New Years the only work I'll do is walking around Tombstone and Sonoita. Haha It's good for your body to take small breaks. They say it's best to take a week off once a quarter from working out all the time. And you do a lot of low impact cardio so I think you will be just fine. :)
I love it when you begin to notice changes in yourself! You'll soon see muscle toning and wonder when the heck did that get there? Are you kids cool with you working out? Do they try to help you out or do you leave them with the hubby?

So I woke up this morning and my little toe hurt, not sure why. I got all dressed and walked out to my car. Today should have been bootcamp. I got all the way to my car and decided that my toe hurt too bad for bootcamp. Now the choice was go back inside and get in my warm bed or go work out. Well, since bootcamp wasn't going to work out and I was really tired.... I desided.... to....
TODAY'S WORKOUT - Swimming
I did my normal 60 minutes in the pool without slowing down or stopping. It was an ok workout, but it wasn't as good as bootcamp.
Today was my weigh in. Looks like I'm down to 180. =) VERY slow, but I'm going in the right direction, plus this isn't about weight.... right?

Remember how I said my little toe hurt. We during the night I actually woke up in pain. At that point I got out of bed to investigate. It seems what has happened, is my nail has cracked in half and it had a tiny jagged edge. I snipped off the jagged edge and went to bed. I woke up feeling much better. I think the edge kept on getting caught on the blanket when I moved so it was trying to rip my nail off while I slept.

This past summer...
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u299/NATALE1980/oneleg-1.jpg
I had gained about 7-10lbs after that summer picture was taken. I have now taken that back off and then some. It's been close to 12lbs since November 5th.
My highest weight ever was around 260+ when I was pregnant with my DS. I don't know what my official high weight was since I stopped paying attention after 255.
My weight journey has definitely been up and down!! Time to get off the roller coaster and get healthy!!!
I had a bad eating day today... didn't eat any sweets, but for dinner I had a nasty frozen dinner. YUCK! It was gross. I made my family pasta and since I can't eat wheat I got myself a stuffed green pepper. It was NASTY!!!!! It's funny what I now consider a 'bad' day of eating!

Nat,
I'm not a doctor in any way shape or form I only know what I know from researching. But I do know that if you work out consistently for the rest of your life you will by just getting up everyday and working out have a lower resting heart rate than people that do not work out. I understand that the condition is caused my increased blood pressure. I also know that working out improves stress levels. I would say work out still but that is just me, I wouldn't worry about it till it was confirmed. And then if it is talk with your doctor and find out things you can do. :) I'm destined for high blood pressure, diabetes, a heart murmur and high cholesterol, but I still work out at least 5 to 6 times a week trying to battle all of those illnesses I might have. But I try and that's what matters. :)

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Walk/Run
I woke up this morning with the intention to walk for four miles on the treadmill. BUT - I ended up running almost the whole thing!!! :woohoo: I'm not going to lie, in the back of my head I kept on hoping me heart didn't explode. :rolleyes1 (I know that's not really what happens, but I am a dramatic type of person)
I felt really strong today!!! I still can't believe that last year around this time I had a hard time believing that I was going to beabel to finish a 5k!!!

I, too, am no expert on heart conditions. But, it hasn't exploded yet, so until you go to the doctor, I'd keep doing what you're doing. :lmao: (I'm overly dramatic as well).
You are doing a great job on those workouts. Good for you. And, I love the pics. I am always the one with the camera (thank goodness), so I won't be adding any pics of myself to my journal. ;)

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Sculpting
We used weights, worked on arms, legs and abs. I enjoyed class but I'm weird in the way - that if I don't walk out sweaty and tired then it wasn't a good workout.
I'm sure it was a good workout, I just have to change my mindset. I'll do it again next week.

Yesterday - Blood tests, so no work out. I had to keep my body food free for 12 hours, so I didn't think it would be a good idea to work out in the morning.
TODAY'S WORKOUT - Pool
First I swam laps for about 30 minutes, then I did my first pool/aerobics class. It was ok... I guess (once I got over the fact that I could feel my butt jiggle under the water). The only reason I did it was 1) I was curious 2) There are no scheduled classes tomorrow and I wanted to try something new.
I won't be back. It just wasn't for me.

TODAY'S WORKOUT - Sculpting Class
During my fist class last week the instructors mother was there (she was in her 60's) I think because of the mother the instructor took it easy. NOT THIS WEEK!!! It was a great workout. My arms and legs were shaking.
My First Little Rant -
Ok - so my biggest complaint about working out 5-6 days a week for over a month now is that NO ONE is saying anything!! Seriously, I know I shouldn't depend on others complements to motivate me, but come on!!! I'm not talking about you guys, you've been very supportive. I'm talking about my friends, family, and people at work. I'm getting smaller people, I'm kicking my butt, say something.
Well, I guess my mom did say something over the weekend. She said, "It's always been so easy for you to lose weight." Easy? Really? Easy? I've been getting out of bed around 5am most days to go and work-out for an hour + before I go and work my full time job and then come home and take care of my family. Easy? I don't think so.
There is one guy at the gym that goes to my spin class on Wednesday and he made a comment about how I've been coming to class for awhile now.
I thought that was nice.
Then I walked past him this morning and he said something like, "Wow, your really into this." And "I can't believe you were here on Christmas." I didn't see him there on Saturday, but I don't really pay attention to anything while I'm on the treadmill.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, that was nice. It was cool that someone noticed that I've been trying.
It would just be nice if my family would acknowledge that I've been working hard.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ok - So I just read what I wrote and I kinda sound like a jerk, like I'm saying, "Look at me." - Understand that I'm just frustrated and a little bit of a jerk :)

Nat! I hope everything comes back normal for you tomorrow!
I know what you mean when you want your family to notice. Sometimes, there might be hurt feelings because you are trying to take care of yourself, and family might feel left behind. At least, that is what I have experienced. My Mom has said some pretty upsetting things to me like "Oh you've always been skinny so it's easy for you to stay in shape!" or "What do you need to work out for your so skinny? Why do you watch what you eat all the time? You need to live a little" etc. But I always tell her you know I want to be this way. I want to be healthy I don't want to end up with all the health problems my Mom is going through now. I've got Diabetes, High Blood pressure and High Cholestoral in my family, so rather than run the risk of getting all that stuff I want to give it all I've got and stay healthy. Then if I get any of those I know I did everything I could to not get them and ultimately it wasn't my fault.
They will begin to notice more if you stick to you and then their comments will change to nicer things. Just hang in there Nat! I know you can do it. I've been working hard for the last 3 years and my family has finally changed from you work out too much to wow you look really good!

12-31-2010, 08:14 AM
They will notice eventually, I'm sure. It's funny that your mom said that. I hear that all the time. Excuse me, I run hours a day sometimes, that's not easy. Yes, it does the trick, but easy, give me a break! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the support! You guys are great.
If anyone understands my irritations it would be my WISH friends! :grouphug:
It's funny cause every time I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror I am seeing changes. It's kinda cool.
I had my echo-cardiogram yesterday. It look about 40 minutes. It was actually really neat to see what goes on in your heart. Of course I didn't understand 100% of what was going on, but that was the first time I had witnessed something like that. VERY Interesting. I wanted to ask a million questions, but I didn't want to mess her up or slow her down.
I should have the results by early next week... but that won't stop me from working out until then. :)
I didn't workout yesterday morning cause I woke up with a nasty cold. I didn't want to push it yesterday because I really want to make it to karaoke spinning today. How much fun does that sound!!! Can't wait!!!

YESTERDAYS WORKOUT - Karaoke Spinning!!!!
It was sooooo much fun!!! I wish they did it every Saturday. I was able to get an amazing workout and had so much fun that I didn't even realize what was going on.
TODAY'S WORKOUT - Power Hour
This is the first time I took this class. Since it was the only class offered today and there was no one waiting to get into the studio after us, the instructor decided to turn the power hour into Power Hour&Half!!!!
This class made spinning feel like it was for weenies.
There were a few times that I cut back and took a break since the doctor told me to slow down a bit before I get the results of the echo-cardiogram back. I felt like my heart was going to pound out of my chest and that all my limbs where going to fall off.
It was an amazing class, the instructor (the one I really like from spinning taught it) never let us stop moving. We used the plastic step things along with weights. This was all followed by some ab work.
AMAZING!!
I can't wait until next week when I (hopefully) find out that everything with my heart is OK and I can get back to pushing myself. Maybe then I'll start to lose weight. I know I'm doing something wrong, I just have to figure out what it is. Still haven't eaten any sugary treats since the beginning of November and mostly spend the day eating fruits and veggies. I feel smaller and my clothes are happier with me, but my weight isn't moving. - OH WELL. After the doctor calls and gives me the good news, all bets are off!!! I'm going to get stronger (first goal) but I'm also going to lose weight!!!!

Get stronger! Get Stronger! I'm back on the work out train next week too! Even if there is something wrong you can still work out. It can be low impact stuff which will still keep you in shape and just eat right you'll be on track for staying your target weight.
I hope there is nothing wrong and I hope your new year went well and you are recovering from the cold!

Somehow I doubt I will be adicted to the early morning workouts...I already have a nearly 1-hour commute to work, so adding to the earlyness that I already deal with isn't likely. But I really like going right after work, so if I can start to habitually work that in, I'm golden!

TODAYS WORKOUT - Spinning
It's kinda my Wednesday thing. Every Wednesday I make sure I leave the house by 5am to make sure I get a bike for the 5:30 class. By 5:15 there were only two bikes left!!!
My body still hurts a bit from yesterdays workout but I pushed through it and now I feel great!
When I got home I made myself salsa scrambled eggs. YUM! I love salsa, it goes along way as far as calories. It makes a great salad dressing also.
Great news... lost 1/2 a pound. REALLY!!??!! 1/2 pound. Whatever. :) Say it with me, "It's not about the weight.... It's not about the weight." My pants fit a bunch better and I know I'm smaller, must just be all the muscle weight I'm gaining.

TODAY'S WORKOUT - Boot Camp
I woke up at 5am to punish myself once again with bootcamp. I stayed away for three weeks but thought it was time to return. UGG!!!
I was so tired this morning that I can't believe that I made it through the class. I was yawning and my eyes were tearing.... I almost layed down to take a nap before class. :)
The first thing the instructor said was, "OK... lets wake up with 100 squats." I laughed... He was serious! After our 100 squats we used weights, worked our abs and did about 50 push ups (if not more, I lost count). And that is all before we headed to the gym!! At that point he had us all run around the gym while passing a weighted ball over our head to the person behind us. This seemed like it lasted for at least 7-10 minutes. There is something about running in that gym keeping someone else's pace that is so much harder to me then running on the treadmill or by myself outside. Plus the first mile is always the hardest for me. :confused3
Side Note: Watching Wipe Out..... LOVE IT!!!
Not sure if there is something wrong with my left foot or with my left shoe. But for some reason my left foot was not fitting tightly in my shoe, my ankle kept on slipping. Tomorrow the plan was 4-5miles.. really don't want to chicken out because of my shoe.

Hey Nat,
I'm going to sound completely crazy right now but you do you use different shoes for running than working out? I ask because I recently found out that you need two pairs of shoes. One pair for working out and then one for running. I serious do nothing but running in my running shoes. I don't even walk in them, I carry them to the track and then I put them on and run. I would also check how long you've had your shoes because even work out shoes really should be replaced every six months. I would splurge on my shoes, I used to buy really cheap shoes and I would get blisters and shin splints like no one's business. Now since I dropped a cool $70 for my Nike Free's I've been pain free. Of course no one shoe fits all, I would go to a Running shop for you running shoe. I think work out shoes are good as long as they are comfortable. I only dropped $50 for my Nike's that I work out in.
Wow! It is really really hard to run with others for me too! We all have our own stride and pace so, I don't like to keep up with others and I really prefer to run alone if I can. I really don't like to run with my husband cause he is so much faster than me, I always catch him in distance though. :P He can't fun forever like me Haha! But yeah I totally know what you mean! If you wanna increase some speed though that bar thing works or doing Fartleks.

Hey Nat I hope you get some great shoes! And only use those shoes for running and different shoes for working out.
Your instructor sounds like she did the same thing mine did today! We did a Tabata, which is a 4 minute work out when you work really hard for 20 seconds, then take a 10 second break and then do it again for 4 minutes. So my instructor likes to make use do sit ups for 4 minutes or lunges or whatever. I know my abs are going to be feeling that tomorrow.
Yeah for sculpting!!!

TODAY'S WORKOUT - Spinning (again)
I wasn't as into this class an I normally am. My leg and butt muscles are still sore from Tuesday and they are even worse now that I took spinning. :thumbsup2
So I made a decision. I'm going to be a healthy chubby person. All of the blood tests I had were above awesome and my blood pressure is really good, not to mention that I'm getting stronger.
There are a bunch of really skinny people out there that are not healthy because they are naturally skinny and don't take care of themselves. So if my body chooses to stay chubby even though I workout 5-6 days a week over an hour at a time then so be it.
Now I may change my mind tomorrow and be sad that I'm not losing weight again... but for today... I'm happy. :rolleyes1
I did lose another pound since last week... but I don't really care about such things anymore.

It was packed at the beginning of this month but now...well it's sad really. I'm going to laugh a little bit every time I pass a really skinny person while I'm running the princess marathon. :rolleyes1
Just so you know I'm not prejudice against thin people, some of my best friends are skinny. :hippie:

If you lifted too much that could be what caused it. I know you have to progressively gain weight in your weights so yeah I think it is okay for right after the work out if you arms are shaking. I recommend drinking chocolate milk right after a sculpting class to pack on the protein and carbs or eat something high is protein and carbs or drink a protein shake so you can recover faster.

My spinning class spun without me today for the first time in two months. :sad1:
I guess it was a good reason since my DH was called back to work for the next three days. Since I won't be able to go to the gym tomorrow morning I'm going to try and do something at home.... it stinks.

How long were your muscles like that? It's okay for a little while, but not too long. Lots of protein and water to help rebuild that tissue! I'm sure you'll find something to do at home. Do you have any good videos? It's nice to mix it up every once in awhile. :thumbsup2

TODAY'S WORKOUT - 5 miles on the treadmill
I really need to get back up to the 10 miles I had a goal to finish by the middle of December. I really got off track with my running.
I think it is because I really just don't like running and the classes at the health club are just so much fun!!!
I was able to do the 5 miles in record time (for me) so I'm excited. I'm just afraid I'm going to let my friends down at the race. I never have ran with anyone (besides my DH years ago, and you can imagine how that turned out) . I want to stick together, but I don't want to kill myself the first half and feel like I'm going to die during the second half.
Oh well... I still have a few weeks to train!!!

TODAY'S WORKOUT - Sculpting
Woooo whooo!!! Good times!
I feel like I'm getting stronger, I think it's time to increase the weights.
So I decided that I'm not drinking enough water....well... cause, I'm not. I was only drinking around 30oz a day. Plus I was drinking a bunch of coffee so that only made it worse.
So starting yesterday I am not drinking a gallon of water a day. Much easier then expected. The only problem is I have to pee all the time.

TODAY'S WORKOUT - Hot Spinning
Yes, you read it right... hot spinning!!
I guess there is a hot yoga class on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. So the heating system got all confused and turned the heat WAY up around 6am (half way through class). OUCH!
I always leave that class sweaty, but this time after class I went to the locker room and took off my shirt before putting on my jacket to go home. That shirt was gross! Too Much Information??? I bet! :rotfl: But why hold back now?:flower3:
Oh! I also bought bike shoes over the weekend. Look what we did...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si9p-1FwL-8
It was a bunch of fun until I ran into the fireplace.
So I used my bike shoes for the first time in class today. I had a hard time getting them clicked into the peddles, but figured it out eventually. I think the shoes made the class a little bit different, harder in a way.
Time for work,

TODAY'S WORKOUT - 5K on the treadmill
I woke up late so I only got in 3.1 miles plus a cool down today. It's funny cause I ran it faster then the Disney 5k last year and yet I do not feel like I am going to die like I did then. :thumbsup2
Wore my Heart Rate Monitor for the first time. After I was done I went over to the personal training desk and asked them what it meant. They said that I keep my heart rate up too high for too long and that I spent most of my workout burning protein not fat. Well that explains why I'm not losing weight! Oh well.... I'm healthy. :thumbsup2
I did lose 2 more pounds! I'm down to 178. I figure it was all the water I've been drinking.

So my schedule is getting all out of wack.
My hubby got a call and is going back to work.... right now... this minute. It is 10:20pm right now.
He is working the 3rd shift. So this means that he's going to get home around 6am and I will have to get the kids out of bed, get Dexter to school and take Skylar to the gym with me.
We are so excited to have him back to work that it is all worth it!!! The biggest problem is our Disney Vacation that is planned at the end of the month. :headache: How in the world can we have him take off work when he has been laid off for 2 months?!? We can't! We are debating if me and the kids will go without him or if we will postpone the trip until a later date.
I have to go no matter what - at least for the weekend to run the marathon. Have no idea what is going to happen. BUT very happy he back to work!!! :yay:

Well I know you know this but Disney isn't going anywhere, so at the worsest you can push the trip back and at the best he can go or you and the kids can go. I think I would push the trip back just because it might be stressful with just the kids, but I don't know your kids....but that is what I think I would do. But I'm glad your husband is working again! It's good! Thankfully things are looking up. It's so scary not having a job...
