Just a heads-up if you're in the market for photo books...

Digital Landscape Photography (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0240812433)
Michael Freeman's Digital Photography Reference System: The Complete Photographer's Library, in a Box (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0240813146)

You can see when the deals will be available here (http://www.amazon.com/Black-Friday-After-Thanksgiving-Sale/b/ref=nav_swm_cw_Nov30toDec4?ie=UTF8&node=384082011&pf_rd_p=1282500282&pf_rd_s=nav-sitewide-msg&pf_rd_t=4201&pf_rd_i=navbar-4201&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0W12N4MSZ51V426PDEHK). Stuff tends to sell out pretty fast. The landscape book will go on at around 11am EST and Freeman one will be around 1pm. I really enjoyed Freeman's "The Photographer's Eye" but this one seems to be more mixed reviews; I'll have to look closer to decide if it's worth grabbing.

Happy shopping, consumers!

Do you by chance have the prices on them?

I spent the better part of yesterday watching the Cyber Monday deals. Only bought three things, but it was still fun. Black Friday is for chumps.

No idea on the prices. I've been watching Amazon a lot in the past few days :) it's so much easier than actually battling crowds, and many of the same deals can be had (including $5 blurays and $10 PS3 games, which seem to be my main purchases this time!)

I will know the price of the landscape book in 25 minutes though. :teeth:

I've also been watching it. Most of the media prices on yesterday's sale got leaked before the sale, so Slick Deals had everything listed for the day (with prices) before it went live. Based on that, I had a good idea of when I needed to have my trigger finger ready.

It doesn't look like the prices of anything today are known, though :(

I didn't see that the prices were leaked... but then, I usually am watching FatWallet, but I really didn't look anyway in the past couple days. I mostly just watched the lightning deals - I certainly don't need excuses to buy more, after the new camera plus we just ordered a pretty nice treadmill for Mrs Groucho, which wasn't that much less than camera! Yipes!

As it turns out, the landscape book was $11.33 (normally $15) and the Freeman box was $45.18 (normally $51). The landscape book was slightly tempting but I decided to hold off for now. The Freeman box was a little basic - but in looking, I found his new "Photographer's Mind" book which made its way onto my wish list, so they'll probably get some money from me sooner or later. :)

I just got my copy of The Photographer's Mind today, along with Photographic Composition: A Visual Guide and Composition: From Snapshots to Great Shots. I'll write something up when I've had a chance to go through them.

I've been on a book buying binge lately. I thought From Still to Motion was pretty good. I loved Kloskowski's new Layers book. I also really liked Photoshop CS5 for Photographers.

I'm still waiting for Sketching Light and Speedlighter's Handbook.
