Are these the same hotel, how many Hyatts are there in the area. We are scheduled for a conference at the "Hyatt Grand Cypress" in June and I am getting conflicting reports. I hear great things about the "Grand Cypress" and not so good things about the "Hyatt Orlando" so I hope they are two different hotels.
Thanks all!

These are two different hotels. The Hyatt Grand Cypress is near (but not in) Downtown Disney. It is a luxury hotel (think of something like Marriott Orlando World Center). You will love this hotel. Don't worry!

Yes, the Grand Cypress is actually a Hyatt Regency. It is an upscale resort hotel. I am not sure exactly how many floors it has, but I think it is at least 15 or 20. It is located close to the Disney Village Marketplace, off of Apopka-Vineland Road. The Hyatt Orlando is a hotel which is more like a Motel, all two story buildings and is located off of 192 in Kissimmee very close to Celebration. I have heard the Hyatt Orlando is ok, but is more like a Holiday Inn as opposed to what you would think a Hyatt should be. I have never been to the Grand Cypress, but I hear it is a nice place.
