Attention Pin Event Goers and Spectromagic Fans!

Heh, all you Spectromagic fans attending the Big Pin Event coming up! Thought you were going to miss Spectromagic because it was only being run on Saturday night?
Well, Disney has just announced extended hours at the Magic Kingdom starting on Sunday, Sept. 22nd with nightly showings of Spectromagic at 8 pm. They are experimenting with the concept of staying open later on most weekdays and running Spectromagic the first week and Fantasy in the Sky fireworks the second week. They plan on doing surveys and other studies to gauge the popularity of this 'experiment.'

For some reason I was under the impression that there was to be no Spectromagic during the event! Spectromagic is one of my favorite things at WDW!

You know, it's so funny that this is a *test*

The Magic Kingdom used to stay open until 10:00 almost every night, and 11:00 or 12:00 on weekends. Not only in prime season, but almost all year. You could see the fireworks every night. I can remember when we first started going as a family back in 1993 and even a while thereafter that we could always count on heading over to the MK for the parade and fireworks any night of the week. Go figure :rolleyes:

Sure wish they would go back to that again. I think the guest response will be tremendous. (and I agree about the original Tapestry of Nations as compared to the Tapestry of Dreams)
