Code Question

When can I anticipate geting codes for a late August 2003 trip? Just got back and of course, I'm ready to plan next summers trip. Unfortunately, this year I was not aware of the resort codes in time. I do have one for our December trip to WL. When do those codes expire and when will new ones be released? Does anyone know historically how Disney has offered codes over the last few years or is this a relatively new thing?

I have been going to DW for 14 years with my family and I have only paid rack rate twice. The new codes have been fairly recent I would say the last 2 years. They had some discounts offered thru the years but there was a whole game that one need to play in order to get one. I think as the amount of rooms increased Disney realized it had to have incentives in order to fill the rooms. Then the economy began to faulter and then we had the Sept. tragedies. I think that in order to get folks to travel they are offering incentives pretty much everywhere still. I think that you will see codes atleast thru next year at different times. I would pick a resort that I could afford whether or not they had a discount and then watch these boards and the travel section of the newspaper. You can always call and get the discount if one becomes available.
