Disney Wonder 3 Night Cruise - Dec 16th

Hi everyone :) We needed to get a thread started once and for all! We have less then a month now. Yay!!! Who is everyone travelling with? I'm going with my friend who is usually my travel partner to Disney and he is 26, I'm 27. :wizard:

Someone else! Awesome! You are going to LOVE the Disney Cruise...you and your children will love it! And the parks after will be great to top it off. We are doing the opposite...5 days at the parks before the cruise. :)

Hey I'm going on the cruise with my BF(26), me(30), DD1(8), DD2(2). This is my fourth cruise but all of ours first disney cruise. BF and DD2 first cruise ever and DD1 second cruise. We were thinking about staying at Disney a few days after the cruise but wanted to be home for Christmas. I think we are going to stay one day at a value resort and see the Mickey Christmas parade on the last day. Does anyone know if you can get into the Magic Kingdom early or just to the parade.

I getting so excited about the disney cruise. I'm trying to learn all I can before we leave. So far I've learned about the FE exchange. Does anyone know if this is going on for our cruise. Pillow cases for the children to get autographs. I saw something about a tea to reserve when you first get on the boat. Am I missing anything. A lot to do in three days. It will take me forever to read all these post.

Are you doing any excursions? We decided to do the Glass Bottom Tour in Nassau. I've done the Adastra Gardens your before and that was a lot of fun! :)

Wow thats a pretty good line up i told the kids about Tron because i knew it would be released while we were cruising. Now i know i can wait to see Tangled, Oceans, and Secretariat on the cruise. Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2

Outside your stateroom there is a hook for someone (or DCL) to leave you a written message. People in these cruise meets started hanging a piece of cloth with pockets which extends this message leaving device, thus the term Fish Extender. So now in cruise meets, people will organize a list and you put little gifts for each group in there. It can be small Disney things, candy, things from your hometown, dollar store items, whatever! Here are some examples from throughout the Dis.

A couple of questions...which night do we put gifts in who's room? And is there any kind of price range we need to stay in or anything like that?

I've been on one Disney cruise before but sadly we didn't do FEs...so I'm a noob!

This is my first cruise as well but from what I'm reading you get a little something everyday then maybe something a little better on the last night. No need to spend lots of money many go to the dollar store or make their gifts. Candy is pretty cheap! Looks like it will be just the 3 groups myself, you, and mickey so I might just splurge a bit.

Okay, cool! I bought stuff today and will plan on doing a little something each night! That's not too bad since we are just a 3 night cruise. Our cruise cabin is 2605 :D :D This is so exciting!!! We are so close now!!! And we leave for Disney World Saturday at 5am!!!!

Well at least I can get my feet wet with this FE exchange because I will definitely booking another one onboard. I would like to do the 14 day cruise because the price is similar to the 7 day cruise but since the 14 day cruise doesn't bring you back to the US I guess it will be the 7 day for May 7.

I'm sitting in my room right now at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge! Goodness is it cold here! :P I'm looking forward to our cruise...just a few days now! I have my bag full of stuff for the fish extenders! It will be fun. I didn't have time to make or buy a cool fish extender so I just brought a gift bag lol. But you will definitely recognize our door because I made a bunch of magnets for it. Sun & fun soon!!! :cool1:

I'm so jealous! IT IS FREEZING HERE TOO! I hope the weather is nice. We leave Wednesday and got a 15 hour drive. I haven't received my fish extender that I order so I am starting to get nervous. If not I guess I'll be using a tote bag as well. See ya on the boat.

Upper 70s and sun is the forecast for Nassau and Castaway Cay on Friday and Saturday.

Didn't have time to really get in on the Fish Extender stuff, but I hope it's a great cruise. Heading to FL tomorrow morning.

Did everyone have fun on the cruise? It was so awesome!!!
We watched tons of movies, played a lot of bingo, ate a lot of food...and relaxed a ton! I loved it~!!! :)

We had an absolutely fabulous time. My girls loved coming back to the room to see if they had received any gifts. I can't believe all the great stuff with just 3 cabins participating. I was hoping we could meet but we just got all caught up in the fun. We booked the 7 day Eastern for May 7. I'm looking forward to the FE exchange and this time no kids so we can do more adult activities:)

We had a great time too. Thank you to all for the great FE gifts. Someone went above and beyond! You all RAWK!!! We have not booked another cruise as of yet, but we won't count it out. Maybe 2012?

I do have one question for my fellow cruisers.....We had some great company at our dining table; a couple from New York and another couple that frequent the DisBoards and they did the back-to-back cruises.....4nights first, then the three nights, and they live in Florida. We were unable to stay on board for departure day breakfast and wanted to exchange email/facebook information. I am terrible with remembering names and would like to get in contact with them. I sure hope that they are reading this so I may get in touch with them.

This was an awesome cruise. Too bad I didn't know about the DIS boards before we went. HA! This was our kids first trip to WDW & first cruise. We had a ball & our parents even came too. The weather was really cold while we were in WDW prior to our cruise. We wore lots of cloths & we should be used to the cold here in Colorado. We sat by a famous Candlelight Processional Narrator in the dining rooms & for the shows at night. We had such a great time that we booked our next cruise while on board & are going for a 7 night on the Fantasy in October 2012. Yea! It's so nice to meet ya all here!
