Just a reminder - Ornament Exchange Info....

I will begin gathering information in October for the Ornament Exchange. It was expressed a few months ago that people would like to do this again. This will be the 3rd we will be organizing an Ornament Exchange. Please remember that if you decide that you would like to participate in this exchange, that you will be able to hold your commitment to getting your ornament to the person that you will be assigned to send to.

I had just seen a couple more exchanges starting up so I wanted to send this friendly reminder out.

We will gather info in October, you will receive your name and info the first week of November (probably by November 3rd) and you will need to send it out by the first week of December (for those attending DISCon and wanting to purchase their ornament at WDW - we encourage you to send it from there if possible if you are staying past December 12th so that it reaches it's destination before Christmas).

If you have any questions, please feel free to post here or PM me. Please do not send me your information yet as I'm not ready to collect it.

Nutsy - we exchange Christmas ornaments. People will send either something from their own "neck of the woods" or a Disney ornament. December99 will have more info later (ie - price range)

I received some hand-made ones last year as well as Hallmark ornaments, hometown ones etc. (I was involved in something 'extra' last year) You would receive one recipient and someone else would be your sender.

I already bought one ornament, had it DIS-ified for 2002 already! ;) Can't wait Chris!! Love ya for doing this again! If you need any help, just whistle!! ;)

Fortunately it's not my style to chastize anyone publicly if they don't follow through on things. I was just sticking a reminder that they need to take that into consideration when they sign up for this one as people use these on their trees and really look forward to this exchange. So please, as this moves forward let's remember to stick to the guidelines and not badmouth anyone publicly regarding the exchange. If we run into problems, you will need to email or PM me and I will then in contact with the person. That's what I did last year and things were okay.

I will be putting a post up in October at the beginning of the month. This thread is NOT...I repeat...NOT the sign up thread....When I post in October I will be asking for all your details. This was just a reminder so we don't overload ourselves with exchanges around the time that we will be doing the ornament exchange (it will actually commence in November). That's all. People like to take some extra time on the ornament exchange and I just thought it was good if there wasn't alot of exchanges going on at the same time.
