Magical Moments Catalog

I have seen information on ordering items for the cruise from the Magical Moments Catalog. Can you only get this if you are a member of the Castaway Club? If so, what are the other benefits to being a member of the club and what is the cost. We are considering our first Disney cruise for next year and so I am new to the cruise and the discussion boards. The boards are the best for overall information - great job!!!!!

Welcome to the boards. Everyone will receive an odering catalogue with their cruise documents - even if this is the first cruise you've ever been on. After your first DCL cruise you are automatically a castaway club member -- no seperate cost for this. Benefits are currently -- a seperate line for check in - stateroom credit for your next cruise if booked while on board the ship -- a stateroom gift (currently a beach towel) waiting for you on your returning cruise.

THEY LONGER HAVE THE CATALOG MAGIC MOMENTS IT HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH ONE CALLED GIFTS AHOY! I PERSONALLY THINK THE NEW ONE IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE OLD ONE. :( I WOULD DIFFENTLY CHECK OUT SHIRLEY'S SITE.

I certainly agree about the new catalog. I will probably go with Shirley since everything I like in the old catalog is gone.:(

I just wanted to add here (as I did in a similar post) that it is a shame that Disney is no longer offering the Magical Dreams pillowcase / cookies set to surprise your children (or keep one for yourself). This adorable set included a pillowcase with the Disney ship on it and was available in the old Magical Moments catalog. Too bad no one will be able to buy these anymore. They were great cruise souvenirs.

I have Gifts Ahoy on my website, and also some examples of Shirley's wonderful custom work. I would definitely recommend Shirley...we've had her do several baskets for us, and they have all been gorgeous! (And she's such a sweetheart too.)
