After many days of dark rainy weather today we had at least a bit sunshine. So I took the chance to take photos from phantastic Disney Dream. She is really a beauty! Enjoy many close-ups here:

Awesome! Thanks! I've been helping folks locate rooms, and have been struggling to find clear pictures of the front. Hopefully we can leverage some of your daylight ones!

People with 5E rooms should take special note - these pictures show them building the verandah railings, and while I can't tell if they are taller than normal (given the perspective from which the pictures are taken) they are extending all the way to the edge, so bonus verandah space for you I think!

Andreas or remorse - Should you get a chance to take more pictures, there are a couple of things we'd be really interested in seeing up close if you are able to get pictures of them for us.

Some of the things I'm looking for include:
1. Close up of the concierge rooms on Deck 11 and 12 port side, especially the ones on the forward "bumpout". We're trying to see if the verandahs extend all the way to the edge of the bumpout, and if so, if the verandah dividers extend all the way to the edge as well.
2. Close up of the aft verandahs, especially those in the middle of the ship, to see if they have installed verandah dividers and if they extend to the edge of the ship as well, or if they stop short.
3. Close up of the front windows of the ship. There are 7 portholes on each deck hidden under the covering that extends across the ship on decks 6, 7 & 8, and those of us with those rooms are anxious to figure out whether we can see the portholes under the outer covers, and what they may look like. We're also trying to get a sense if the portholes on those rooms are the large ones like on the forward and aft sides of the ship, or if they are like the medium size ones on Deck 2 or in the aft porthole rooms.
4. Obstructed verandahs located to either side of the aft portholes or to the left of the forward portholes. From the early pictures, it appears that several of these verandahs are obstructed by the metal detailing on the ship. By obstructed, it means that the verandah is not as fully open as a regular non-obstructed verandah, and may have metal that comes across the top or bottom of the verandah given the angle of the metal detailing on the ship. Can you get some closeups of those rooms so we can assess them further?

Thanks in advance should you get the opportunity to take some more pictures!

If some of your questions maybe answered by the existing photos let me know. The original resolution of the pics is by far (!) higher than the resolution of the posted photos. So closeups are possible. If you tell me the filename of photo and maybe "row and column" of the requested close up it may help you.
In the coming week I'm not sure whether new photos can be taken.

Thanks.

Item 1 below may be an impossible request, unless there is a way to get up higher when taking pictures, or to capture it from another angle. I'm looking for detail on what's behind the glass on the deck 11 curved bumpout that you can see in this picture and the deck 12 rooms up above it. Trying to see what they are doing with the verandah dividers for those rooms.
http://www.depping-design.de/test/albums/2010_11_disneydream02/IMGP8183.JPG

For item 2, you have some pictures of the aft rooms that show us they are doing something with the verandah dividers, but I can't blow up the pictures to be able to see in greater detail, and it's hard to tell exactly what they're doing. Here's one picture for example. We can see something, but I lose too much detail when I try to zoom in closer.
http://www.depping-design.de/test/albums/2010_11_disneydream02/IMGP8094.JPG

For item 3, remorse posted a picture with some detail of the front windows, but it shows just a small portion of the windows on decks 6, 7 & 8 (not the bridge windows). I didn't see any front window pictures in your gallery. We're just looking for closeups on the ribbon of windows across the front of the ship.
http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/remorse84/DSC_0080.jpg

For item 4, you have taken lots of great pictures of the rooms to either side of the portholes. Depending on the angle you're taking them from, however, they look more or less obstructed. Just trying to get a sense on a room by room basis, just how significant or minor the obstruction could be. For example, the two pictures below show different perspectives of the same rooms, if you look to the rooms just aft of the portholes.

HallsofVA, some of your questions may also be answered by a couple of my other pictures so I have tried to zoom in a bit to try to answer them... we will see how well it has worked...

http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/remorse84/DSC_0079-Copy.jpg

My picture of the bridge of the ship, you can however see the some of the deck 8 forward windows here. If you look carefully at the second window pane from the left and at the 6th I believe that you can make out the portholes behind. From this picture it appears to me that the forward portholes are rather smaller than those on the sides of the ship, though I admit that may just be because of a) the angle the picture was taken from and b) the angle of the portholes as the forward part of the ship slants backwards significantly.

http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/remorse84/DSC_0100-Copy.jpg

For forward verandas... From this I believe that the forwardmost veranda on Deck 6 is virtually unobstructed, that on Deck 5 has a relatively minor obstruction in the lower left corner as we look at it and those on Decks 7, 9 and 9 all have significant obstructions in the upper left corner.

http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/remorse84/DSC_0156-Copy.jpg

And aft verandas... To the aft of the portholes I think that the Deck 5 veranda has very little obstruction, but those on Decks 6 to 9 appear to be significantly obstructed, especially those on Decks 7 and 8. Forward of the portholes Decks 5 and 6 seem to have little or no obstruction, Deck 8 a fairly significant obstruction in the upper left corner and Decks 7 and 9 an even more significant obstruction.

For the others I'm afraid that it is more a question of angles and distances than anything else. Still, it may provide me with an excuse to buy myself the new zoom lens that I have been wanting...

Thanks for posting such great photos! We're sailing in cabin 6000 in Sept.and I'm having trouble zeroing in on that cabin. I know it's directly in the front of the ship (I don't know the nautical term for front of ship LOL) It's fun looking through all the photos anyway and trying to figure out where we may be.

Have a look on the first three photos here:

They are close ups in original resolution and may give you an answer to your question. Keep in mind that the ship is not finished yet. Many things will change and built up in the last days.

So, I returned today armed with a polarising filter in the search for less glare and a better angle and this is what I came up with:

http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/remorse84/DSC_0208-Copy.jpg

The first two portholes on Decks 7 and 8 are now clearly visible and I think are definitely smaller than those on the side of the ship.

Also regarding the cabins in the bump... this picture is of the starboard side but at least it can give an idea for the Deck 12 cabins:

http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/remorse84/DSC_0180.jpg

Here it appears that the veranda dividers on Deck 12 do not reach all the way to the edge of the bump. However, as Andreas points out, much work is still ongoing and there are likely to be many more changes to the ship over the next few days/weeks...

With regard to the Ems conveyance the Meyer Werft website currently gives the date as this Friday or Saturday (or possibly overnight and so encompassing both days) but does not give exact times and notes that this is still subject to change...

If these are the foreward facing portholes that can be seen under the film and behind the glass, then why are they oval, and also not evenly spaced?
The top row, 2nd from the left, is higher up than the 6th one over, and the next row down, again the 2nd one is not only crooked, but also higher up.
Doesn't make any sense to me.

Thank you! It is very helpful to see these places up close! I agree that the front windows look to be the more medium sized windows of the aft 9A rooms and 9B rooms. It doesn't help that they are set at an angle, so as to make the opening appear even smaller than it is. Oh well. That's the trade off for the extra space for the corner rooms, or the higher decks for the forward facing rooms.
