Please could someone tell me if Virgin will upgrade flight tickets on day of flying at a reduce rate?

I believe they recently had a special rate for upgrade at the airport, we asked when we cheked in for our flight both going and returning (9th August and 31st August) and premium economy was fully booked both times, so we stayed where we were, did get and extra legroom seat on flight out for DH but did twilight checkin it was brilliant.

I believe that, subject to availability, one-the-day one way upgrades should be available at £199 for PE of £750 for Upper Class. Ask at the ticket desk or check-in when you arrive.

Wish that other airlines (like BA) did this too...
