View Full Version : Sanford Airport...how far from WDW?

I am flying US Air this trip, but perhaps for the next trip will try Southeast Airlines which flys into Sanford. How far is the airport from Disney World? Are there a lot of car rental options available there?

Hi Helen, Orlando/Sanford Airport is about 1 hour north of WDW. hear is a link to SouthEast's Web site. DW and I are flying them in November.

:bounce: I also am using Us Airways for this trip I have coming up In Dec. However with the deals that Southeast Airlines are having out of Allentown ABE, I will definitely consider them for next trip.

I think the ground transportation factor will be a big consideration not just the price of the airline ticket. Sometimes the agrivation and time factor outweighs the money saved.

I am your neighbor in Forty Fort. I was looking at the airfare on Southeast out of Allentown but the cheap 153 rt price did not last long for our dates. By the time we were ready to buy it was up to 193 rt. I got 181 rt out of AVP with Delta. I think the cheap airfare that is advertised is very limited.

I have never used Delta out of AVP, that was a good price you got. When traveling in July with US air I usually pay around $220 and for this Dec it was $250 but I had two vouchers that I applied to my ticket.

I guess you had to figure $59 each way on SE would be full of restrictions. With their prices now I think I will still rather fly into MCO because the amount of saving isn't worth the extra travel time from SFD now.

The difference in the fare from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to Allentown or Philadelphia is usually not great enough to justify the drive there as well as the price to park.
