Does anyone know what kind of life jackets they use on the Catamaran snorkel trip? My dad has expressed interest, but he is a none swimmer, with a bum knee. Any advice from someone who has take it? How difficult is it?
Thanks for any help!

Are you talking about the excursion in Key West?

The life vests are required by Disney for all swimming excursions. They are air bladders and you blow them up yourself. The water is over your head and you are NOT to put your feet--or flippers-- down as you may damage the coral and the coral can damage you.

If your Dad is not a swimmer he might have trouble with the idea of breathing through a tube and being in the water anyway. Some long time swimmers have trouble with snorkeling.

Perhaps he would rather rent the equipment at Castaway Cay where he can take his time, have a bottom to touch in the snorkeling area or the Adult Beach and be more relaxed about it.
