What are the latest rules for returning pins at WDW? With receipt only? Still for pins purchased within last 30 days? Are they strict about the rules?

My understanding is that the 30 day rule is only at Disneyland. WDW does not have a time limit.

You can also return them at your local Disney Store. I've done it several times and the CMs actually can't wait to see what it is. I don't think the pins ever become available to guest, the CMs buy it first.

Returning pins at TDS....do they ask for receipts? Do they give you cash or store credit only?

And WDW...anyone know the official policy?

I had receipts for most, and they credited my card, and the others we got credit for what be bought there..I think also they give a store credit...

Some others have returned lots of pins, and gotten a combination of cash and credit..but I think they also had receipts.. it also doesn't matter when you bought them...

Returns to TDS with a receipt will get you cash, without a receipt it will get you a gift certificate.
I don't know about the 30 day rule though, because I brought pins back before the 30 days was up, but if you "cant find the receipt" how are they going to know you bought the pins more than 30 days ago???
I found some 4th of July AK Simba pins at the Trumbull store last week. Someone had returned 10 of them. I tried calling all my pin friends but no one was home. So I only bought 3 to use as traders. I paid the same price as I would at the parks.

If you return something to the DS, if you have a receipt, you will get a refund in the manner that you paid for the initial purchase. If you bought something at WDW, or DL for that matter, bring the receipt with you. Otherwise, you will get a merchandise credit.

The 30 day policy adheres to art and collectables. Some pins do fall in that category.
