Elk sightings...Benezette PA

Hi!! Just thought I'd share a few pics I took yesterday when we went up north looking for wild elk!

Photos were taken using my Sony Alpha-550 and my 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 lens. I could have used a longer lens... and a tripod, but I never imagined we would see as many as we did!!

Thanks for sharing Paula! I didn't even know there were wild Elk in PA - for some reason I think of them as a Western States animal.

I especially like your 5th picture and the way the light is on the herd. :thumbsup2

Great pics .. thanks for posting. I used to spend a lot of time hunting and hiking in Elk and Cameron counties especially in the Dents Run and Hicks Run areas and would see the elk alot. It was before I owned a digital camera and I would love to go back to the area again to see them again and get some shots.
