Check your USAir flights!!! Our Pgh. to Tampa flight cut!!

I just happen to check USAir's website to see if my flight from Pit to Tampa is still there the 1st week in December. NOPE - gone, gone, gone. I immediately called USAIR - they have not been DELETED, there's been a "schedule change". When they showed the map on TV, the only city showing flight cuts was Orlando.

Oh, well, we're still flying into Tampa & driving to Orlando. But our time has been cut by several hours each way. And I could get all my money back if I wanted according to the Customer Service agent!

So when were they going to tell you? When you got to the airport that morning? It's not like you're right down the street and can drive!!!

I checked my flights on Delta also, but my flight was only changed by minutes... not "rescheduled" as yours.

Well they have a Queue team that works major scheduel changes, but OCT is another one, so they wouldn't need to contact her until then. More than likely she is in a queue to be worked and her flight hasn't come up yet to be called. For a major change as this, they would definitely call her about it.

I've found that USAir calls about 30 days prior to departure for schedule changes. They wait until the schedule is final rather than calling everyone with tentative changes.
