Not sure if I should post here, but...
We are headed down late afternoon from Chattanooga, Tn. and feel we can make it to Valdosta, Ga. that evening. Does anyone know of a decent (and budget minded) hotel for a family of 5 (two adults, & 10DD ,7DD ,4DS ), something along the line of an Amerisuites, La Quinta, etc.
Thanks
David:p

I'm going to bump this up for you, because I was about ready to post with the exact same question!!! We'll also be looking for a decent, reasonable place to stay overnight in the Valdosta area.
In fact, we'd love to have a place that offers free breakfast since I'll be traveling with 2 teenagers. :smooth:
Anyone? Thanks in advance!

It's clean, not too expensive and has an okay breakfast (cereal, juice, rolls, coffee, fruit). We've stayed there quite a few times. I'm a Marriott Rewards member so I'm always looking for Marriott properties with good rates so I can add points and earn free stays. Sorry I don't know anything with larger rooms but figure you can get a rollaway for that 5th person. Phone # 229-253-9300 according to my FFI directory. Got $69 when I checked a night in October for a room with two double beds. Hope that helps a bit.
The Marriott website says there's a Courtyard by Marriott there too but had no link to check prices/availability.

We always stop at the state line rest stop and pick up the coupon books for area motels and hotels. You can get some great deals there. We like to stop at Adele, home of King Frog etc. There is a truck stop there called Mama's Table that serves some great catfish that my DH loves.
Hope you have a safe and wonderful trip.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn, it was clean, not much to do about breakfast, but the rooms were cheap enough that we got 2 connecting rooms so my husband and I could sleep in a King size bed and the kids in the adjoining room. We drove straight from Chicago and needed the sleep. I did notice the Fairfield had a special that you got a McDonalds breakfast coupon with the rooms there. McDonalds parking lot was right there.
