I am officially closing this. I don't want to drag out the signups because we are already getting close to the holiday season and I think we have all of our players. Newbies are welcome, but please limit yourself to two groups.

This swap will be set up as small page kits and you will be required to make the following:
1 title
1 photo mat/frame
1 journal box
1 element

1 title: 8x2 standard or other sizes ok; welded and shadowed letters; large title tag; title on box, border or altered CD
1 photo mat, 4x6 photo, 2 layers, smallest layer 4 1/ 4X 6 1/4, embellished
1 journal box, total of 3 layers, minimum writing space 3X3

2 tags: 2 layers with something in the hole and embellished
1 file folder or matchbook, embellished
2 slide mounts, embellished
3 altered paperclips
1 shaker box
1 library pocket with tag, both embellished
1 license plate
3 shapes, 2 layers & embellished (small squares, flowers, etc)
4 inchies
1 signage/bookmark double layer and embellished
1 song/lyric/poem, double layer and embellished
If you have another idea let me know and we will consider it.

Embellishments can include: stickers, stickles, ink, flock, chalk, charms, flowers, eyelets, brads, ribbon or fiber, sewing, tearing, die cuts, embossing, stamping, clipart, additional layers of paper, specialty paper.

As always, if you make something you would be proud to use in your books.......we will all be happy swappers.

Please place your sets into a minimum quart size bag. If your quart bag doesn't close - please use a larger bag. Label bags with DIS name, name and group letter - not to a particular swapper. All of your smaller bags then get placed into a larger bag (minimum gallon size) that will close.

You may mail to me by any method up until December 1st. Then I must ask that you send priority with confirmation.

Return postage will be by flat rate priority box (unless I've spoken to you and other arrangements are made). Cost is $10.70 for medium/standard box; $14.50 for large box. Please include an additional $.70 and filled out form if you want delivery confirmation.

Please include a return shipping label (filled out).

I cannot accept click it/ship it postage.

Lucky me, I tested positive for strep throat on Friday so after a day of sleep and amoxicillion I got to relax and work on scrapping all day Saturday (don't worry, I was no longer contagious- thanks to the meds -when I got back to working on these).

I see allot of other peoples Titles and I see we dont have stick the names of what characters we are doing.
So since I have woody and Buzz can I do the PP Title "Toy Story". Or Can I do "woody" and "Buzz as separate pp Title's because on the TS Cricut cart they have the names and they are pretty sweet. And it would be easier for people to separate them and use them in more versatile situations. Is that cool with everyone???
And I have no idea what title to do for Ariel and Eric...Ideas please:confused:

I think both of your ideas are a good time! You could also do something like "Toys at Play" or "best buds" or something.

As for Ariel and Eric, I hear you! I stuck with the character names for Pocahontas and Meeko because I couldn't think of anything myself! I recommend watching the movie for inspiration haha (sometimes I do that while I scrap...:rolleyes1 :))

For titles I'm leaning toward "Tale as old as time" on a book for Belle & Beast. Not sure about Jessie & Bullseye yet (I need to look at the cart first). For Boo/Sully & Randall I'm leaning toward labeling them seperately ("Kitty" and "Randall) I may need to watch the movie again.

Well, we go on Thursday for the second part of the three-part surgery. This one is the longest and most complicated, so Thursday is gonna be a bear. Its all worth it as long as the outcome is good.

They said don't worry, we'll get you in. It was 5:10 until he was taken to the OR. I was furious, but I realized that the best time to yell at the staff is not when they are wheeling him into the OR. that's me, speedy gonzales, I was able to modify the "Cinderella" from my cart, took off the "a" and did a "y" from jasmine cart, its a pretty good match, still have to glue it all together.

we used to have all the princess movies on VHS, but when they started to come out on DVD, megan didn't want them and now we have a blu ray, so we donated all the VHS a while back.

Ok soooo My Ariel and Eric set is going to be left 95% finished when I send it But the good news is that all in that group get an entire pkg of little Mermaid EK Success dimensional stickers. IDK where exactly to put my sticker of Ariel and Eric so I'll let you all decide what you want to do with them. But I did also include an extra silhouette cause I feel like the set needed more since I feel lazy.

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that everything looks great. I'm so sorry I had to back out of this and my other swaps. I really am going to be bummed that I'm not getting any of your great stuff! It is all so cute!
The good news is that my dad is finished with his surgeries and is recovering well. He has a couple big follow-up appointments and we are waiting to see the actual results, but we are very hopeful. Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust you sent our way. My family and I really appreciated it.
Hopefully I can return to swapping on the boards sometime next year when things start to get back to normal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The Sully paper is glittery, I double-matted the Randall photo mat and used purple staples. I used the same color aqua for both Randall and Sully and there is purple in both as well. That way you can use them together or seperately ;)

This has never happened to me before but I am so frustrated with this swap. I have no creativity, and still have two of my four groups to do. What I have finished, I'm not too thrilled with. I'm currently trying to do jasmine and Aladdin and only have a mat made. I'm trying to do the paper piecing of them on the carpet but the cricut is being stupid and not cutting right. I'm mad at all the tiny eye pieces and ready to toss it all. Trouble is, I don't know what else to do. And I don't even want to think about Ursula and Ariel. Ursula doesn't come in stickers, cricut or paper. I've been at this for weeks now. I'm not a flakes so I can't give up but arrrggghhh! Thanks for letting me rant and rave. Now what? :-)

Next, I absolutely hate working with the eyes of some of the characters. What I've learned to do is instead of trying to cut out those pieces, I glue a white strip to the back of the face (so that the eye holes are completely white) and then use a fine tipped marker for the eyes- first a brown marker, then I dot the middle of it with black.

That's a great idea! Thanks. I'll use it next time. I dumped all the little pieces of Aladdin and Jasmine, so I'm starting from scratch. I'll use that eye idea the next time I attempt a paper piecing. I hate the way the cricut cuts sometimes (or doesn't cut)! I've changed the blade, the mat, adjusted all the settings, and sometimes it still pulls the paper off the mat and doesn't cut the pieces.

Okay, lunch over, back to work. :sad2:

:hug::hug::hug: I have to say, I HATE when the cricut is not cooperating!!! Rachel tried to make that piecing and gave up too :flower3: We always put paper behind the eye holes now ;)

I can also say that this swap was not as easy as I thought it would be. My problem group was Sully & Randall, but, at least I found some stickers. Perhaps for the Ariel/Ursula group you could just do an "oceany" theme. We don't have to do a paper piecing (my saving grace for the Sully group) using purples as accents to represent Ursula. Or since I know how to use my SCAL now I could try to cut Ursula or Flotsam/Jetsom for you.

As a final thought, walk away for now and think about it later ;)

Thanks everyone for the :hug: and offers of help. I got Jasmine and Aladdin done, although I still don't feel happy with it. Now working on the last group. I work the next two days, so I'll take a break from it then. On Thursday, I'm going to Michaels and getting last minute stuff to make this swap fabulous (I hope). I want to be done with it by Thursday afternoon and ship out then. The due date for this came up quick, and I think that put a damper on my creativity too. I was stressing about it a lot.

Sneaking in... on antibiotics for 3 more days..can you say YUCK!!! I hate meds...but know when I'm bent over crying it's time to give in...... unfortunately I missed my DS14's first high school basketball points of his high school career.. wait..come to think of it.. I need to kick his butt...the first soccer point he scored I wasn't there either because of conflicts... I think I need to raise this issue with him...
