(I posted this question on the Trip Report section in error)

I'm really interested in the banana boat rides at Castaway Cay. Could you please share your experience? Also, how is it for younger kids? My daughter is age 10 and a very good swimmer.

Thanks
Donna

My DH, DD9 and I did the Banana Boat on the July 28th Wonder Cruise. The sea was very calm that day so the ride was very tame. We were pulled by a jet ski and it lasted about 20 minutes. My DD9 daughter had just did parasailing so she was not impressed with the Banana Boat. Other posters have said that they had a wild ride and several had fallen off but that was not our experience. Hope you have a great time.

my dh and ds (at the time age 8) did it and loved it. DH did get thrown off but he was also bouncing up and down on purpose so he probably threw himself off. They both said when they do it again this year they will wear goggles because the salt water sprays up in their eyes and burn a little. so bring some goggles.

Thanks for the tip on wearing goggles. I will add that one to my notes!

We had a blast and it was very bumpy. Noone fell off but the guide was watching us closely. (I almost flew off once.) Sitting in the front is wilder than the back. This was a great time and the only time my family of five was all together on CC.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
