Trying to make ps for 6 people - small glitch

I made a ps for the Storybook breakfast at Epcot, but they only had tables of 4 left to offer, so they booked 2 tables to accomodate our party of 6. Has anyone done this and had a problem with pushing the 2 tables together?

This same sort of thing occured when I made our 9/28 PS at California Grill. Needed a table for 6--WDW-Dine had no tables for 6 left, so they gave us a table for 4 and a table for 2. I immediately sensed the same sort of problem you did, so I called CG directly. They said that the problem is with the computers at WDW Dine--but when we arrive at the restaurant there will be a table for 6 made ready.

But I'm interested too--this must have already happened to someone..

We have five in our family. When I make PSs I usually have no problem but occasionally will be told that they will have to split us into 2 tables. In actuality we've always been placed at one table. I agree that it must be a Disney Dining computer issue.

This can go either way. The restaurant in under no obligation to seat the party together, and there is no guarentee that the two tables will be close or side by side. But, the only time this will happen is whne they are very busy, and the party arrives at or after the PS time. Central Reservations can only offer and book what is available in the system. This is based on a "template" of the restaurant, and it's projected table availability.

Here is my suggestion. Arrive early (your entire party), as much as 30 minutes prior to your scheduled PS. When you speak to the Greeter, tell them you know your booked on two tables, but you would like to be seated together if possible. You know you are early, and your are willing to wait for a proper table size to come up.

Depending on how the night is going, the seating staff should be able to give you a good idea of how long your table would be, or any options they may have for you. If you work with the seating staff, you are more likely to be satisfied.

We also had a PS for six and, even though I made the PS at 7 am on the very first day the Storybook Breakfast PS became available, I too was told that our family would be split between two tables. However the good news is we were all seated together, not split up, without any prompting from us. This was a pleasant surprise as I had assumed that tables of more than four were not available since one was not offered to me when I booked on that very first morning.

Btw, friends of ours also had PS at the same time and were able to be seated at a table next to us. But they were *not* allowed to push their table next to ours as it would block the access between tables, they were told.

We are a family of 6 and just about every PS I've made I'm always told the same thing. However, we have never had to split up on any of our meals.

I doubt you wouldbe allowed to move the table. However as said above, they will try to seat you together. On our last tri pwe had 7 or 8 in our party every time. We had a PS every day for 8 days. For about 4 of the meals I was told we were booked at 2 different tables. The only meal we were at different tables was at CRT. There was no way we could have pushed the table together, but they were right next to each other.

We have always been seated together once we arrived, even though we were told that there would be 2 tables. Even had a party of 9 seated together @Le Cellier. Have a great trip.

We just finished making PSs for Christmas week.....we are a party of 12......and some ressies are for 12, some are for 5 +7.... I feel sorry for the server who has the party of 5 - they range in age from 16 -20 and can get very silly when they are together!!
Since Disney is such a family place, you'd think they would have more places to accommodate larger parties so the families can sit together!!
