I just called and got the 2003 Disney Club discount rates for both PO-R and ASMo. These are for standard/non-preferred view during Value Season:
$118.10 inc Tax for PO-R
$69 inc tax for AS-Mo
I was surprised at the big price difference between the 2 rooms. Now I have to figure out which room to book for only 1 nite before I move to BWV.

These are exactly the same rates as AAA discounts, that have been available since July for 2003. I have been a big supporter of the DC, but am now beginning to wonder. With the AAA discount, you can book directly through CRO, so no issues with cancellation policies. I think changing to a code or AP rate later will definitely be easier if the ressie is already with CRO, not DC.
Just disappointed that the discount is not a little better.

What is your rate per night. We are going in July and have the AAA rate for GV concierge and I was wondering what the difference would be. I am paying 331/night. thanks I'm hoping the AP rates are going to better in the spring

I don't have a DC card, but I'd like to know what the rates are to see if I want to get one. Can I call and ask about the discounts w/o being a member?
I'm looking for PO-R May 18-21 and AKL May 22-27.

We are waiting to see if we can get the DC discount for the GF in Jan. I don't think that we have a great CM. She is telling me that this DC rate is the same as the rate I booked back last year. So now I'm holding.......
Well it help to be patient. The new rate is $100.00 less. Did you know that if you pay your deposit by CC that they have to cancel your old reservation and make a new one. So now we have to make another deposit in 2 weeks. Now if you pay by check this wouldn't have happened. OH WELL!

Someone posted whether its worth having the AAA vs. DC. Well, the big difference between the two is that AAA was blocking out the discounts for Easter week and DC is not. So I called today and made a new ressie (I had booked my original ressie with travel agent, but she won't be in until Tues., so I'm not waiting) and I'll have her (TA) cancel my original one on Tues. Saved almost 300.00!! But I think I might end up cancelling most of my nights anyway because we're joining the DVC in 2 more weeks! I'm doing all this because I'm afraid all the paperwork for the DVC won't be done in time before the 7 month window of reserving. Our new home will be at the Beach Club Villas, but we'll still keep 3 of our first nights at POR. I can't wait to join!!

Scuttle, I called this morning to check on 2003 rates and I had to enter my DC membership number before the CRO CM even came on the line then I had to provide my number again before she checked rates so I don't know if you'll be able to get thru.
I've always been asked by the CM for my DC membership number in the past when I call the 800#, but this is the first time I had to provide it before even speaking with someone.

I called yesterday and had to enter my membership number. Once on the phone with the CM, he knew my name without my giving it to him. I think they must have the computer linked up now to coincide with your number.

15% off deluxe and HAFH resorts in value season......
10% off deluxe and HAFH resorts in regular and peak season.....

3) Was quoted $1000 more than AAA rate
What gives here? If poly lagoon concierge gets a 15% discount, why not for AKL?
Thank god these were 800 numbers
If a better rate for Jan. comes out how hard would it be to change ressie to new code? Will the deposit be transferred?
Anyone know what "perk" they are offering if any? They usually don't do just a room only rate.

lizzie call back about the AKL concierge because I was just told it IS covered under the discounts.
tmli~~The deposit cannot be transfered over to CRO should a better AP code or Resident code come out if you paid by credit card. It can be transferred over if you pay by check.
If a better code comes out later on you can call the DC number and they will and can book CRO codes IF they are available. What happens is they book the new room and cancel your ressie through them. You would then be under the CRO rules about payment, deposit etc..... If you paid your DC deposit by credit card they would credit your credit card and you would need to put down a deposit of one nights stay with the rest due on arrival.
The only perk they have with the room only is admission to either Wide World of Sports or a game of Mini Golf that comes with the room only ressie.

Is the mini golf only good for one person or everyone in the room? Both courses???
By the way, which course is better?

Skuttle, do you have AAA? The rates being quoted for next summer are almost the same (only off by a few cents). At least that was the case when I called for next June and July.
I also was able to get a quote for AKL concierge. $1203.84 during the Fourth of July (3 nights). This is the only room type which was not available during the same time frame using AAA.

Hi,
I called today to check prices on Coronado Springs(CSR) for Feb 1st through the 6th of 2003. We have been staying at deluxe resorts since 1998 but I have decided to apply to Law School so we need to budget this trip. So I called and asked about room only AAA rates for Feb 1st through the 6th of 2003 and was quoted a rate of $106.40 withough tax * 11% = $118.10 a night inc tax. For a total of $590.50 for the five nights tax included.
This is 25% off of the Rack Rate of $133 plux tax a night and because I booked with the AAA rate I get the 5 day cancelllation policy and only had to put down a one night deposit.
Hope this information helps someone out. I am now hoping that AP or code rates will come out soon with even a better rate but I don't want to be greedy;)
Happy discount hunting to all!

I was hoping to get the 15% disc. with DC for our Jan. trip. Just my luck though the BCV are not included in the discounted rates. CM said there is a chance later on they will be added in a few months, but not now. She was able to give me a different cancellation policy that has final payment due 21 days before vacation as opposed to 45 days. She said this was something that just came out today. I'm hoping an AP rate will come out. If not, we'll be adjusting our plans.

 Just got off of the phone with DC with a request for GF Jan25-30 only to be told that there were no discounts available for that period. Anyone else get this? Did I just get an uninformed CM?

anyone know anything about the perk? mini golf sounds great!
Polynesian GV concierge; June 14-21, 2003 = $439.36 (major ouch) p/night, room only. LV rate quoted at $440 + tax.
I was given the third degree, name, zip code, how many times staying at WDW in the past, date of last stay, how many days in the Orlando area during next visit. . .all this before I could even get a quote!
I booked the rate although our plans aren't firm yet, but I wanted to be sure to get a discount (no matter how minimal). I'll be keeping my eyes open for codes and AP rates in hopes of lowering that rate! This year we went from a code rate (booked in January) to an AP rate (changed in April).
I'm sure I'll be able to do better down the road--fingers crossed anyway! ;)
