Hi everyone;

I have been viewing everyone's threads and always wanted to do one. I thought that maybe since we were only 3 months away there was no sense. But as you can see decided I would do it anyways. Here is a bit about myself and DF.

Shawna--> I am 32 (33 in Dec) who works as an Administrative Assistant at a children's hospital.
Edward--> He is 41 (42 in Nov) who works in IT :surfweb: at the same hospital different building.
Brianna--> She is 13 who is in grade 8 :teacher:

Edward and I met in February 2006 at the hospital that we work at. At the time I was living with my parents and Edward had just finished building a house. After dating for a couple of months we discussed Brianna & I moving in with him sometime before school starting. We knew we wanted to be together and didn't want Brianna starting school and then having to switch throughout the year, so in August we moved in. By this time my older sister and her family were planning a trip to Disney for the up coming December and Edward thought it would be a great time for us to go as well. So we booked the trip for Dec. 16-23/06 and flew down. I had been to Disney when I was 9 years old and just remember a little about the trip and this was Edward's first trip along with Brianna of course. After flying back home we knew we wanted to go back, but just didn't know when we would. After some discussion about trying to drive the next time to save money as we spent $2500 for the 3 of us to fly. We planned a trip for Dec. 2007. We left Dec. 10th and took 3 days to drive down and stayed for 14 days.

Our next trip was the following Dec. 2008 and left the day after my birthday, Dec. 5th. We were gone just over 3 weeks. We decided to stop in New York for a day and then stop in Washington. This year Edward's family was coming with us (Mom, Dad, Brother and sister-in-law). This was also the year that Edward proposed to me at Chef Mickey's.

The only people that knew were his parents and mine. Of course I said yes and we knew right away that we wanted to get married at Disney. Since Edward loves to save and pay for everything before going we knew that we had to wait to save money along with some others that were going to join us.

So we decided on January 4th, 2011 at SBP at 2:30pm and on our 2009 trip went to view the location. We fell in love as soon as we seen the boardwalk. It was amazing. Course the day we went was in the high 80's.

I was on the countdown until we could contact Disney to book the day. I was so nervous that we wouldn't get the date/time that we wanted, but all worked out. We dealt with Kristi Davis as first who sent us the contract to review and sign. After signing we were placed with Tanis Armstrong for our wedding coordinator.

Edward and I knew that we didn't want to spend a huge amount on the wedding as we don't want to go into debt for a wedding. We would rather save the money to go back to Disney more. So we only upgraded the pictures, and I bought the 3 girls the wands. Since I will be having the calla lillies I had the wands upgraded with 3 calla lillies per wand @ $60 (my older sister, my younger sister and my daughter). We also have Edward's brother standing as the best man. We also bought the Mickey's for girls flowers.

Edward has always wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge so we will be checking into POP on Dec. 27th (we drive down on Dec. 25th) and then to AKL on Jan. 2 until the 8th when we leave. My daughter decided she would rather fly with the rest of my family so they will be arriving on the 29th of Dec. Edward's family as they are drivers also will be leaving the same day as us. We will be doing it in 2 days as we have been the last couple of years so we usually do a 19 hour day the first day. Thanks to Edward for being able to do this all himself :worship: as I look out the window and nap.

In January I found the dress of my dreams. I didn't plan on buying a dress but once I tried it on I knew it was the one for me. Im not a huge fan of the long tails (or trains that im sure everyone calls them).

I wasn't really sure what shoes I wanted. I am already tall enough at 5'10 and I really don't like heels. Edward is about 6'5 so heels wouldn't be an issue to push me over being taller than him. But he does wear brogue shoes all the time. Here is a picture

Here is a picture of mine that I found.

I seen another pair that I had bought but ended up returning once I found these. I made a joke one night saying how funny it would be if we had the same shoes. Edward agreed and so I went and bought them. They do look good with the dress but you can only see them of course when you lift the dress up.

Well this is it for me for one night. Hope whoever reads this enjoys.

Hi and welcome. Great story. I love the pic of your DF on his knee and Pluto in the background. Too cute. :lovestruc Your wedding dress is really pretty. I love all that detail and the lace up back. I think its cute that you're both wearing the same shoes. It'll make a great photo op. I'm looking forward to reading more. popcorn::

Thanks for taking the time to read. I was a bit nervous as when I tell stories im all over the place

I had mixed opinions about wearing the same shoes, but at the end of the day it's our wedding and this is what we wanted. I think it will look great.

I will have more up shortly.

I say it's your wedding. It's about what you both want, what fits your personalities, and about making memories that you can both look back on and enjoy. :thumbsup2

I love that your shoes match! I think it's very cute.

Surprisingly, my DF is very much into the whole matchy match thing :)

It seems that when I read everyone's PJ they have all these things that need to be done. Yet when I sat down to write I thought "what do I write". Really everything is done. I didn't upgrade much as I said previously as we only want a small wedding and no debt. I do still have to pick my hair style. Here are some that I was looking at.

I find it very difficult to pick a hair style. So I think I will wait until the last minute.

I do have to pick up the girls some Jewelery for the wedding. I have a friend that will be going down the beginning of Dec and asked if she could pick them up. Here is a pic of the necklace

Our wedding will be taking place at 2:30 so we decided to have a reception at my parent's place that they will be renting and order catering. This will allow the ones who are not within the wedding to join us after. I found that having it there would give us more opportunity to chat with everyone equally and not have to scream down a table. In a month or so we will decide where to order the catering.

We also have the bridesmaid dresses. They are Aqua and strapless. Once I get a picture I will post. We are in the process now of trying to find them shoes.

Well I am off for the night. Work tomorrow. :scared1:

I really like the first hair style. Also that necklace is really cute. I think you're right about a small wedding and no debt. Good for you for sticking to it. At first that's what I wanted and than I got swept away in it all. Now I'm trying to reign myself in

My first thought was to go with the first one. But I will probably wait as long as possible.

I do love the necklace and will be ordering them and having them shipped to POP. My friend will be going the beginning and Dec. and will bring them back so I can give to the girls on Christmas day.

It`s hard not to get carried away with the wedding. But DF is great with money and will explain that we don`t really need it. LIke I said I always come up with the ideas and DF will yay it or nay it. lol

I have now booked my appointment to have my dress altered on November 4 both mother and myself will go and see what needs to be taken in.

I also am surprising my DF with a trip to Kennedy Space Centre as he has always wanted to go. I have purchased tickets for Jan. 3 the day before the wedding with all the guys. While the guys are doing this the girls will be off having lunch and going to the spa.

I still haven`t decided when I should tell him. Anyone have any good ideas.

Also, before my family arrives, DF, BIL, & FIL will be doing the Richard Petty driving on 29th of Dec. So I will be there taping that. Im excited to see that. :cool1:

I just feel now that there isn`t much for me to do besides do the count down. So I guess that is all I can do for now.

I think that sounds like such a fun idea for the guys to do Kennedy Space Center while the girls lunch and spa. How many days before the wedding are you guys arriving? Maybe what you could do is get him a card and tell him it's an early wedding present from you? Give it to him the day you arrive. Just an idea. :goodvibes

Edward mentioned to me last night about trying to make the shuttle in Feb. He has been wanting to go and he does so much for me, this is the least I can do. We arrive on Dec. 27th, so a week before the wedding. The family arrives on the 29th. I think giving it to him the day before is a great ides. I hate keeping secrets, im just bursting inside to tell him. And it's funny, we always joke about how I can't keep anything in and here I am holding this in :cool1: Thanks a bunch for your help.

As I mentioned before I really don't have much to write about as we are not doing any huge upgrades. But I did decide to have Wedding By Crystal take care of our hair and makeup. I really haven't seen to many people on the boards discuss her so im hoping she is good. I also have Rev. Jack Day booked and our vows are sent back. We still have to order the catering which we will do sometime in November. I also have my wedding alterations booked for Nov. 4th.

We also need to purchase some shoes for the 3 girls in the wedding so hopefully this month we can find something. The ones we had ordered did not fit them all that well. :sad1: Shoes seem to be the hardest thing to find. I haven't posted pics of the girls dresses but I will once I get a pictures of them. They are a aqua color. I had wanted to go with Brown but they were quite expensive and we found the aqua ones for way cheaper, and they are nice.

The other thing that is done is flights. As Edward and I drive, my daughter wanted to fly with my family. The travel agency went through US Airlines and they are charging $25 for 1 bag, $35 for 2 and $100 for 3 or more. That is crazy. How are you going to charge people for bags. I can see if they are bringing more than 1 per person. We will be taking Brianna's down with us in the car anyways, but my older sister has 4 in her family, im sure they need more than just one bag. That price can add up. :scared1:

Today is 3 months until the wedding. I can't believe how quickly it is approaching!

Well off to work I go since that is what im suppose to be doing. :surfweb:

You must be so excited. :cheer2: 3 months! It sounds like you have the basic things covered which is good. Don't want to leave it to the last minute and get stressed. I hear you about shoes being difficult to find. I'm having that trouble just for my own shoes I can't imagine for three. Looking forward to seeing pics of the girls dresses. It sounds like they're a really pretty color.

I am excited....:cheer2: I don't want to rush it but I just need to go on vacation. I have been saving all my vacation for this trip and the one in Feb. I think most is covered. I just feel like I should be doing something. I am very stress free. Every PJ that I seem to read they are all stressing out.

Yes shoes are so hard. And ones that will fit well. I don't need all the girls with the same shoes as long as they are the same color.

I told my daughter I need her to put the dress on so I can take pictures to post. Just need to charge the batteries.

Just some info on what I have been doing since it has been awhile since I wrote on here.

We are now in the process of booking a hockey game while down there, I have a friend who knows someone within the Tampa Bay Lightening. We will watch on Dec. 30 Tampa vs Montreal. So that is underway.

My DF bought the tickets for Richard Petty's Racing for the 29th for himself, father and brother. I will be there taping it.

On a note that really isn't much about the wedding. Just to let you know how it led up to yesterday's dental work I will give you the background.

When I 20 I had to have my front tooth removed from an accident that happened when I was 10 :sad2:. They put in a bridge which attaches to the teeth next to the missing one. All was fine, my dentist said that it should last another 5-10 years. :yay:

Then April comes and soccer tryouts are starting for my daughter. As I am down tying my shoe she decides to put hers on, her knee comes up and smacks me under my chin slamming my top and bottom teeth together :scared1:. The first thing I did was ensure my teeth were still attached. Once that was confirmed I continued on with taking her to tryouts.

Couple of weeks later I was out with some of my girls having dinner. I started getting this really bad tooth ache, but not the ones attached to my bridge but next to it. I left around 11:30pm before heading home I went to Shopper's Drug Mart to get Anbesol. It was the weekend so I had to wait until the following week to get into the dentist.

After the dentist took x-rays they told me that one of the teeth that is holding my bridge is snapped in half and it will have to come out as it is affecting all my other teeth. They sent me for deep cleaning to see how the other teeth were doing (and this also was painful and expensive). After that they decided that 3 teeth needed to be pulled and fast as it is ruining my other teeth. After all the pre-work I had done before the final verdict were now into June. Then my dentist told me that it would cost $14,000 for all 4 teeth and having them install posts rather than a bridge. Going the bridge way again is cheaper ($7,000) but we could end up with the same senerio should something go wrong. They thought they could also go through my dental plan as it was an accident. So my DF and I decided that if it were to be covered we would go with the posts. It would take longer but would be most beneficial.

Then in July my tooth decided to go abscessed, I went to the dentist and started taking penicillin which didn't work fast enough and was huge and ended up breaking. So off to the hospital I went and long story short they took care of it and it hurt like hell!!!!

So finally the letter gets sent to cover my teeth and after waiting some more weeks found out it wasn't sent in correctly and had to be resent. :headache: Finally came back and they will cover mostly all of it. The 3rd tooth that is not part of the accident we will have to cover some. That tooth lost bone from me smoking for so long. (I quit back March 26/10 :cheer2:)

I was so scared if we had to pay for any of this dental work for 2 reasons, we already booked the wedding and then I was afraid how the teeth were going to look as I have partials in or Dentures for my 4 front teeth. So last night at 7pm I went for my appt. They had given me Ativan for me to start taking on Monday to calm me down. I was so nervous. I slept all day yesterday, the got up had some good supper and went for my appt.

So I was laying in the chair and my dentist started off with "we booked our trip to Disney for Feb" Now that made me smile. We had discussed this at some appt's so I knew he was looking. And they will be there the same time as us in Feb. during the school closure for the Canada Games. But my biggest concern is for the wedding. I want to make sure that my teeth are looking like real teeth. I won't go into detail but it took about 45 minutes to get them all out and about 15 minutes just for the broken piece. Now I have my denture in, but my speech is slurred since it is like a retainer. But they do look great.

Now that it is all over, I went and put my prescription in for Tylenol 3's came home and my mouth was starting to throb so I took some 3's, ibeprophine and half gravel and relaxed on the couch and then off to bed.

Now I have to wait 6-9 months for my mouth to heal and then they will put the posts in, which im sure I will need to more ativan to calm me down. It's a long process. I just wish I could eat, im so hungry and haven't ate since yesterday at supper time. Of course I can only have soft mushy stuff. So my DF decided to stay home with me and I will have him make me scrabble eggs. But im scared to eat, and im scared to brush my teeth. :sad2: But I am off to try at least, but have to be careful. Eventually I will have to remove the denture when going to sleep at night so that it doesn't grow bacteria. Sounds gross I know. But I can't remove it until I go back to the dentist today as it will have to heal a bit before I can take it out.

Ok well that is all my news for now. Not much about the wedding, just that we are looking into catering now.

If you read all this, thank you. :worship:

Oh man....poor you!

I don't have health insurance right now (subbing with the HRSB = no coverage!) so I won't even go in for a cleaning because I know it'll lead to more...at least yours was mostly covered!

Hoping everything goes smoothly from here on in!

Disney-Chick

I know what it is like not having health insurance.

My BIL is a vice-principal at a school in Sackville. I know what he went through trying to get in with the HRSB. It is hard and takes awhile. But im sure it will all work out.

The dentist went well today. He took out the denture, which I was really nervous about but overall it went well. He had me remove it and put it back in to ensure that I would be able to do this. I was a bit nervous but it was fine.

I will be happy when this is all done, but again I still have at least 9 months to go.

So it looks like we will be booking the hockey game for Dec. 30th in a luxury suite. There will be 18 of us.

This looks like it is going to be one busy vacation/wedding as we may not be at the parks as much as we thought. Or even at the AKL as much as we thought. Paying that much money we wanted to utilize the hotel as much as possible.

I also had my niece put on with us so that she can enjoy the EMH with my daughter as they are only 2 years apart.

Im so glad were going back in Feb. That will be a great vacation for the 3 of us to enjoy.

We received an email from CAA that our trip for Dec is due this coming Monday. So we have to take care of that and then our other trip will be due on Dec. 29th. Now just waiting for all the wedding budget to come through so we know for sure what we owe them.

Well off to watch Survivor! :happytv:

It's not as painful as I thought it would be. But it sure is a pain in the a$$ when trying to eat. I must say though the teeth look really good. As they should but I was so scared of what I would look like. And I am still having trouble with some words and people not understanding me. :sad2: So I just try harder to pronounce the words properly.

Hey Michele; That is so nice of your mom to stay and watch the kitties. We are leaving ours home and one of Edward's friends will come by every 2nd day :guilty: I hate leaving him by himself because he loves when people are around, but at least someone will be by. I think I remember you telling me that one of your kitties died while you were away. That is so sad.

I can't believe only 5 weeks. Time is going by fast!! :scared1: We have 58 days :cool1:

Not to much is new with plans. Just looking into favors, catering etc. Do my dress fitting next Thursday. This weekend im going out with the girls to try and get them shoes. I read everyone eles' posts and I feel like I should be doing more or even stressed out but im not.

We must just be missing each other in the halls. Im sure I will see you sometime. Except Monday. I am off that day  Love long weekends!

This Thursday is my dress fitting, and im so excited for that. I think more because I love trying my dress on.

We still can't order the tickets online through out website for the parks, and I wish that this would be fixed. I do not like having things not being complete.

We purchased the shoes for the girls over the weekend. We are looking into favours and gifts for Rev. Day & our coordinator.

Things are coming together!!! And I can't wait to go.

I did the dress fitting last night and the only thing that needs to be done is the hemming of it as it is a bit to long.

When looking at everyone else's dress I was wondering if I chose the best dress. But everytime I put the dress on I realize it is the one that I love. I tried on my shoes with it and they did look better than I thought as I found a pair of black/white high heels shoes but I wouldn't wear them again and didn't want to spend more money on something that will not be utilized enough.

I have my uncle doing us the favor's. He is a chef/baker and makes homemade jams etc and he will be doing this for us.

Will be borrowing pearl earrings/necklace from my mother and a friend at work offered to make me a bracelett as she makes jewelary.

Edward picked up his suit yesterday and we still need to get a vest/tie for him and his brother.

Well I think that is it for now. I should get to work :surfweb:

I will make sure that I say hit to him for you. We leave here in 47 days!

As for wedding issues, as I have been lucky so far until now. The necklaces I wanted to get the girls are no longer for sale. Or I can't seem to find them. As that was upsetting I was able to find a different necklace that is still Mickey and still very cute and cheaper. I will be ordering that.

We still have things to do and now I need to revisit my list to see what has to be done. I like being organized and having things done in advance. That way if something comes up we have time to fix it.

Well it's Monday and im at work so should get back to it I guess :surfweb:

Im sure the days will fly by, and I want them to but then I don't. I don't want to rush our trip/wedding.

My DF asked me if I wanted to have Mickey at our wedding, but after seeing the price I would rather save our $900 and put it towards our next trip. I thought the wedding planning I would want everything but I am doing pretty good at not going over the top. I would love to have the carriage though, but again it is so expensive. Oh the things that could be ordered!!!

Just an update as to what is going on.

We just found out the house that my parents are renting (6 bedrooms) has been sold. They now have to rent a 5 bedroom, which may not sound bad but this house also will be holding my Aunt/Uncle, Cousin/wife, Old sister/BIL/Niece/Nephew, my younger sister/my nephew, my parents and the odd day my daughter. So we are now short a room, but this house actually comes with a game room and we can put cots in there. Blah not reallly what we wanted to do but im sure it could be worse.

My Uncle (who is not attending the wedding) will be doing our favors for us. He is a chef and creates his own jellies/jams and other yummies. We did jams which has our name/date of wedding/location. We are also doing bigger jars for Rev. Jack and Tanis our wedding coordinator. I didn't know what to get them, and didn't want to spend money on something they will not use and end up selling at a flea market :sad2: Plus, who doesn't love homemade jam!!! Especially from CANADA!!!

My mother also made me a garter belt. I wasn't going to bother with one, but since she made it, and it is so pretty I will wear it.

Now im not sure how weird this is, but my future MIL came for my DF's birthday today and asked to go shopping before picking up some lunch. As we were driving she mentioned that she wanted to buy me some "nightwear" for our wedding night. I was a bit put off by this but went along. We actually found this white nightie with a short silk housecoat. The total was $177 and I felt so guilty for having her pay this price :guilty: Is it me, or was this normal? His mother is very down to earth and very laid back so this was nothing for her. I remember after first meeting in April that May she was buying me underwear and bra's etc. :rotfl: I am glad she likes me though!!! Guess I shouldn't complain, or feel out of sorts with it.

I also just finished going through all the stuff that needs to be brought and doing a list. This way it will be done and I know that we have everything. Is there anything that anyone forgot or didn't think of until getting to Disney? I am so nervous that I will forget something.

Well we only have 34 more days until we leave and until Christmas day!!! :santa: Or only 2 more pays before then, or 4 weekends! :scared1:

Hope everyone had a great weekend! :cheer2:

I think we may actually do a Portrait Session at Animal Kingdom Lodge. DF loves that location and we will be staying there from the 3rd until the 8th.

Once the 25th hits we only have 30 days. And the days seem to be going so quickly, faster on the weekends unfortunately :sad2:

25 days until Christmas!!! and 25 days until we leave for our trip!!!!! :lovestruc

I have received my dress that was hemmed, and it looks great.

We have also added a Resort (Animal Kingdom) portrait session to our photography package. DF loves the resort and I think it was a great buy.

I received the girls necklaces today. They are not the ones that I posted earlier as they had stopped selling them, then once I ordered the ones I have now, the original ones I wanted were back online. :confused3

I have started packing my wedding but will do all my packing on the 11th. Every weekend is busy up until we leave. That is bad, but also good as the time will go by fast.

I also had a co-worker go to Disney 2 weeks ago and she suprised me with the Disney Bridal Ears!! woohoo. Now we just have to get the groom ears. I had asked Tanis if she could purchase them once they come in and then just bill us, but all she said was that she would let me know once they were in. We also cc'ed Rosie on the email and she offered to buy the ears and have them shipped to our resort on Jan. 3rd. I will believe it once I see it.

I decided to make some shirts for the girls and will be picking them up today. I will take pics and post as soon as I get home. I am going at lunch time but have to come back to work  Come on 11:30 so I can leave!!!!

This weekend is my birthday and my family is getting together to also celebrate my younger sisters b-day (her's is the 18th but I will not be in town that day to celebrate). We will discuss catering for our reception etc.

Every weekend leading up to our departure are busy and im trying to fit in Christmas Shopping!! I do mostly gift cards or cash since it's easier and then they can decide what they want. But there are a couple of kids (all under 3) that I will buy gifts for since that is the fun of presents!

The only problem I have leaving is my cat (A.J) will be by himself and DF's friend will come by every 2nd day to check on him, but he is a very lovable cat and needs attention. It's breaking my heart. A friend of mine did offer to take him to her house, but DF thinks that he would be better off at our place. :headache:

Alrighty, im going back to work :surfweb: only 15 minutes till my lunch!!!

We have the same problem with our cat! Too bad you're heading down in Feb. too, we could switch off lol.

We don't want to board Milton because he was a shelter cat and he has OCD (seriously, I couldn't make that up). So the vet says his OCD is from trauma and we don't want him to feel that way again. Usually when we go away DF's mom comes in and snuggles with him and talks to him. She's awesome. But obviously she'll be gone too

I just read that and realize how CRAZY I must seem to people. But we don't have kids yet and he's our baby.

Im sorry to hear about Milton. It would be hard on him to go to a shelter with a bunch of other cats. I hope you are able to figure it all out. And you don't sound crazy at all. I am very protective of my cat. I even make him come in at a certain time and if he is out all night I am up the next morning early to call him in. :lmao:

Hey Shawna! Did the pictures of the shirts come out? Are you packed yet? How's the weather forecast for the drive down?

I tried to convince DH to book the free dining package for September but he doesn't want to talk about travelling until after Christmas!!!! If it was up to me I'd have booked it already and just told our friends when it was happening if they wanted to come along. I'm sure there will be other promotions that will come out in the spring but still.....

I don't suppose I will see you before your trip and wedding so I will wish you the best right now. The pictures are alright. I tried posting them yesterday but I couldn't. I will try tonight when I get home.

As soon as the 26th rolls around I would be mentioning again about booking the trip :rotfl: It is after the holiday's! I always try discussing our next trip as soon as we get home but Edward is the same way. There are always deals that you will be able to use so that shouldn't be an issue.

I am at work right now but I think I may take the rest of Friday off. So I only have one day left!!! We are leaving around 9:30-10 Christmas day and we are now down to 1 week 6 days for the wedding. I am more excited about going but then I will be excited for the wedding. Just so much going on.

I will update my PJ before I leave and will have my laptop so hopefully be able to post pictures.

It looks like the weather is suppose to be nice when we leave. :cheer2: But crossing my fingers for what we may run into. Edward wants to make Jersey the first day but depends on how he is feeling since he does all the driving.

Well I should get back to work. :surfweb: I have to keep on top of everything.

Take care and I will chat with you more later.

We are now in Disney!!!! We arrived this morning. We drove to New Jersey on the 25th and then we hit some snow in Virginia and drove out of it in South Carolina. We ended up staying in Florence and I even have a palm tree with snow on it. But it looks as though the temp will be going up with it hitting 23 on our wedding day!!!!

I still haven't posted the pics of the shirts but I will try to while im down here. We went to Hollywood Studios tonight and it was chilly and crowded so we left.

I'll be interested in what you all think about Universal, specifically the Harry Potter area. There's someone at work that might be going to see it next month.

It was very nice here yesterday, too. About 6 degrees and sunny. Today is overcast but warm. We might be going for a walk today to try out some new camera equipment.

Sounds like you have the right attitude to handle the crowds. I've been reading some threads from people who claim that they had no idea that Disney would be so crowded this week! Well, if you can get through this weekend the crowds should dramatically reduce and you'll have a nice empty place for a wedding!:thumbsup2

I enjoyed Harry Potter. But we are going back on the 6th and hopefully it won't be as busy. But the Butterbeer was good, I didn't think I would like it, but we did. It was the frozen stuff.

The wedding day looks as though the weather will be great. It is suppose to be around 75!!!

Did you hear about the fire at Islands of Adventure with the water ride? We were there and have video of the flames shooting out of the top of it. Duddly Doo Right.

We checked into the AKL yesterday, what a beautiful place. We have had all kinds of animals (not sure of all the names) and it is just great. I can get use to this.

Well I am off. My friends want to meet up..and I have been getting my nails done and shopping all day. Right now I just want to relax but I am heading to my parents for the night. I have been so busy I haven't even had time to think about the wedding.

My plan was to write down each day what we did but that didn't seem to happen. So I am going to try to remember as much as I can.

Edward came to pick me up on Dec. 25th around 8:30am to start our drive to visit the most Magical Place on Earth. It was a beautiful day and we were so excited with all our gear in the back (Brianna was flying with my family on the 29th of Dec). About 2 hours into our drive our gas light decided to come on. I seen a gas station and told Edward to stop. He thought it best to make the next gas station. About 5km away the Jeep starting puttering, Edward starting cursing and I was almost in tears. All I kept saying was "what are we going to do?" :scared1: So after about a minute we finally pulled over and I said I was going to get out and flag down a car. We ran out in Benton, New Brunswick. Luck was on our side as I seen only one car coming towards us. I started waving my arms hoping they would stop. Thank goodness it was Christmas and two ladies stopped. :santa: They were nice enough to take Edward to the gas station and bring him back. I wouldn't go with them since I didn't want to leave my wedding dress. Not even 15 minutes later they were back and we headed back to the gas station to fill up and return the container they lent us.

The rest of the drive was fine, we drove 15 hours and landed in New Jersey and his parents/BIL/SIL were about an hour ahead of us and booked a room.

Dec. 26th we started our drive at 7am hoping to make it all the way. But Mother Nature had other plans and we ended up hitting snow in Virginia and had to stay over in Florence. :sad2: Again his parents were ahead of us and booked a room at a Econo Lodge. I have a pic that shows snow on the palm tree. I should have taken a pic of the snow angel someone decided to do.

Dec. 27th all was good. The sun was shining and we left around 7am to finish the drive. We arrived around 3 or 4 pm. What a great feeling to be arriving at POP Century. Felt like home!!!!

Dec. 28th - It was still a bit cold and we were going to Al Capone's Dinner Theatre for Edward's father's birthday. It was a good show. I didn't like the fact that we were so close to the people beside us. Once I get the picture of us that they had taken I will post. I just need to scan it first. After the show which was about 3 hours. We walked out and our car said that it was -2 outside. Thank goodness I brought my winter jacket. :worship: Then off to bed we went as the next day was going to be busy as well.

Dec. 29th - Edward, his father, & brother were doing the Richard Petty Driving experience. We had to arrive for 7:30am. What a great experience they had. It was worth the money. Edward & his father did the driving of the car as well as were passengers. His brother was just a passenger. Both Edward and his father hit speeds of 118mph. Here are some links to show the pics.

We were there until after 10am. Then we went for lunch. My family was arriving around 4ish this day so we didn't want to go to a park. So we decided to go back to POP and grab all the wedding items along with the dresses etc to bring to my parents house since I was staying with them the night before.

Once my family arrived and rented the van, and two cars some of us went to Downtown Disney so they could pick up their tickets. Here are some pics that were taken.

The first one is of my older sister and I. The 2nd is my daughter, nephew and niece.

So excited to hear you are back and updating!! Welcome home to WINTER! Although it's apparently winter in Florida too - so weird!

It is freezing today. It was a bit chilly when we first arrived in Florida but it's better than this. I can't wait to go back and not have to worry about shoveling.

The snow on the palm trees is wild! Here I am hoping to escape winter...

It has warmed up though so you will be escaping it. =D All the snow was gone as we headed back home. I hope it warms up for our trip in Feb. Only 24 more days. :cool1:

2 Weeks ago I was getting ready for my wedding!!!!! Now it all seems like forever ago! I just want to add I won't be able to add pictures now as I am at work but I will add some tonight. I also have some wedding pictures from my family.

Here we go with all the fun things before the wedding:

Dec. 30th - Everyone packed in their cars and drove to Tampa for the hockey game (Tampa vs. Montreal). As I mentioned before, we received a sweet deal on one of the suites. We had just enough people to fill the room (18 total). The only disappointment besides Montreal losing  was my $30 worth of M&M's, not big at all and they were the first things gone. But overall it was a great game. We did get some autographs before going in but I don't watch hockey and couldn't tell you who we met with (or if they were even hockey players, I just kept joking that they were probably just spectators :rotfl2:)

Dec. 31 - We decided to go to EPCOT for the 7:30pm fireworks since my nephew is only 18 months old. So we arrived around lunchtime and OMG it was packed. :scared1: We managed to stay until the fireworks but boy I was happy to be leaving. Both EPCOT and MK hit capacity. We knew going at this time would be torture and NEVER again will we go at Christmas. Unless as DH says, it is basically free!!! :rotfl: But we decided on this day for both my BIL who was a teacher at the time and Edward's father who is a long haul truck driver. Anyways, the fireworks were great, and everyone loved them. Even my nephew was amazed and watched the whole show. :yay:

Jan. 1 - This day we decided to do Universal. We hadn't planned on doing Harry Potter but eventually made our way over. It was of course packed, but looked great. The detail was amazing. But the sad thing is though, it was small. I realize what they were trying to do but the shops were crowded, you had to wait in lines to get into the clothing store, the restaurant etc. I didn't do the Forbidden Journey this day, but was able to get frozen butterbeer. I must say it's not to bad but I couldn't drink it all. I really enjoyed Rip Saw Rocket. And this was the day that Rip Saw Falls was caught on fire. I brought my sisters over to show them but nobody was coming out. Then I noticed the black smoke coming from the top. We ended up leaving but did get some flames on video. My younger sister was disappointed as she wanted to do this ride.

Jan. 3 Day before the wedding - This was the day that I booked for the NASA experience for the guys (and my daughter and niece) and also the day that I was getting my nails done at The Woodhouse. We were also going shopping after the spa. Edward dropped me off at his parents resort at 7am. We had to go and pick up my sisters and be at the spa for 8:50am, which was about 30 minutes away. I was very pleased with the spa that I choose. I liked the name of it so that is why I chose it. The place was beautiful and the girls were great. We were there for about an hour and as we went to pay my older sister said she would pay for all three of us. That was a nice surprise. Meant that I had more money to go shopping with.
http://img535.imageshack.us/i/kidsatnasa.jpg/ My nephew, my daughter and my niece

We then headed to the Florida mall and were suppose to meet my mother, aunt, cousin's wife and my nephew. My favorite place in the mall would be the M&M store. OMG I was in heaven. I bought some things, but wanted to save some money for a purse & wallet at Disney. The others that were meeting us were a bit longer than we thought and we were leaving when they arrived. My older sister stayed with them to watch my nephew while my MIL, and younger sister went to some flea markets. At one point I had to call Edward, just before his tour was about to start. But as I was talking to him he told me some of them couldn't do the tour as it required their passport.!!!:scared1: It did not state on the sheet that we had that you needed it but it was a new rule that came into place and they couldn't do the one that I originally booked for them. But in the end it worked out and they did another tour and loved it. Edward actually said that he was nervous for the first time ever because he wanted to buy everything. :rotfl2:

Edward's mother dropped me off at AKL around 4ish and I thought Edward would be home shortly since I had to go to my parents house where I was staying the night. He didn't arrive home until 8ish. We then headed over to his parents resort (Carribbean Beach) to have something to eat. As we were headed to the restaurant my phone rang and it was Crystal, the one who would be doing my hair. Now I may not have mentioned before but I was very nervous about her for a few reasons. 1. She didn't use credit card and I had to send a money order ($50) to secure her services. 2. I sent her the address to my parents place with a link that showed the map and she still had questions about the location. 3. It was only her doing all of our hair/makeup (total of 4 of us). So Crystal was telling me that she would be running late and that she wouldn't arrive until 9:30 but would be bringing an assistant. Meanwhile, my phone keeps beeping because it's about to die :scared1: So once I say that is fine she proceeds to ask again where the house is located. :confused3 In my head I was thinking "print the damn map I sent". But I explained yet again where it was and praying my phone doesn't die. After about 10 minutes all is good. But I say to Edward, "I knew I should have switched". Then we go off and eat.

As we were driving to my parents I kept saying to Edward, im not nervous about the wedding, or even excited and that I felt bad because I have no feelings. :confused3 I was very confused. But he agreed that he had no anxiety about it either. By the time I arrived at my parents it was 10pm. Edward left about 10 minutes later and I stayed up until 11:30.

Jan. 4 - The Big Day - As we had to downsize to a 5 bedroom house I ended up sleeping in the living room on a cot. Which was fine with me, it was actually quite comfy and I was having a great sleep. That was until I heard my uncle up at 4:45am!!!! So I try going back to sleep even though him eating cereal kept me awake for a bit. But at 7am I was back up along with everyone else. Blah and I had to wait another 2.5 hours till Crystal hopefully showed up. I am a very impatient person and just wanted to get started. I still wasn't nervous but I was bored walking around and waiting. So after awhile I decided to go and play pool in the games room when my younger sister said that someone was on my cell phone for me. Thank goodness I found my charger since I thought I forgot it at the AKL. I didn't think it would be Edward....but can you guess who was calling me saying that they thought they were lost!!!!! :confused3 Yep Crystal thought she passed it and wanted to know how far it was from some road she was at. In my mind im thinking "im not even from here, I don't know the roads". Where the heck was her map?!?!?! :confused3 Anyways, turns out she wasn't past it she was almost to the road. So at 9:45am she and her assistant (who came in her own car) arrived at the same time. :cool1: So as she comes in she asks me what I want so I pull out the pictures that I had and showed her the one that I really loved. Her response "Nope won't work, your calic won't go that way, you have to be realistic. These girls are not in a wedding, there models." Meanwhile she is pulling at the front of my hair and it hurts because I have it thrown up in a bun. This women's attitude stunk more than S@%t. But I didn't want or need a fight so I kept my mouth shut. Her assistant however was awesome. She only did makeup, but of course Crystal did my hair and makeup. Which at the end the makeup was beautiful. Wasn't overly happy with my hair but the other girls looked great. The other thing was Crystal is allergic to EVERYTHING. Not her fault I know but we had to blow out the candle open the door, shut the back door because some were smoking, not spray perfume (until after she left). But overall it turned out fine. She started to loosen up and she even did my mother's hair/makeup.

After about 2 hours they were done! And off they went, and off I went to put my dress on. :cool1: Here are some pics:

At this point I just wanted to go. Again me being impatient. But still not nervous. We all piled into 3 cars to head over to the AKL where the limo was going to pick us up. I did forget to mention that Tanis called and gave me the run down of what was going to happen. She told me that I was to stay in the limo until she came and got me so that Edward and his family would be gone from the lobby. Meanwhile, as my BIL drove the van I was in while the other 2 cars followed someone almost ran into the side of us. :scared1: But we made it in one peace and then all went inside to resort lobby to wait for the limo. Here are some pics while we waited:

Finally my BIL said that it was time to go. And out we all went. My mother, niece, nephew, 2 sisters and myself jumped into the limo while the others followed in the cars. My cousin was video taping and my gosh he was everywheres. I haven't seen the video but he seemed like a pro. When we arrived at the Boardwalk I waited in the limo as I was told. About 5 minutes later Tanis came out to get me. My immediate familly stayed with me for pictures while the others went down to get seated. Mike was our photographer (I can't remember his last name) but he was so funny. As we started walking they showed us the sign with our name on it. That was so awesome to see. But again still no nervousness....grrr I was getting mad at myself for not having any feelings. Then we took the elevator down and as I hit the Boardwalk I had a couple of butterflies. :dance3: Then as fast as they came they were gone. My bestfriend came up to me and asked for the video camera as I asked her to tape it but of course that is the only thing that I forgot. But again, my cousin was taping away. Rev. Day came down as we were getting situated. I was very thankful for the little bit of breeze that we had. I am always so hot. And the day was about 71 with cloudy periods. Then the girls were told to start walking. I had both my parents walk me down and it was awesome. Edward turned around and he was so handsome!!! I couldn't believe how great he looked, and I couldn't take my eyes off him. I just wanted to give him a big kiss  and realized why I fell in love with him.

After the wedding, DH & I headed to AKL for our resort pictures. We had some taken on the bridge, outside and in front of the tree. Once we were done there I headed to the room for some clothes. Once done there I asked DH to get the car so we could head over to my parents house that they rented and where everyone was waiting for us. When he pulled the car up it was soaking wet. It must have rained once we were done with the pictures outside. I only seen a few drops of rain and once we arrived at my parents it never rained again. I hear it's good to have rain on your wedding day.

We were going to order catering but we all agreed that the amount it was to order and after looking at the food we decided with a BBQ. I am so glad that we did this. There was so much food and it was so good. After heating and opening some gifts we headed back to the resort around 11ish. The next day we were up around 9ish. The phone rang and it was my father. I found this weird but once I chatted for a bit he told me the reason why he was calling. He had booked a flight for that day and was going back home. We still had 4 days until we were suppose to leave. But as I mentioned before my grandfather had been in the hospital since Dec. 20th. Later, after arriving home and going to visit with my grandfather my aunt told me that on our wedding day they called my father 15 minutes before walking down the isle and told him they didn't know if my grandfather would make it or not. My father didn't want any of my sisters or myself know. I knew deep down when I kept asking and they just said he was fine. He is still in the hospital and 5 days ago he underwent a triple bypass. They were a bit nervous as the blockages were around his heart and he only had 20% of his kidney's working. As of right now all is well, but they are still monitoring him.

I am going to skip a couple of days. On Friday, Jan. 7 we did the 5k run through EPCOT. There was myself, daughter, both sisters, BIL, niece, and nephew. They picked me up at 5:45am and we headed over. It was fun. My older sister and daughter did it in 35 minutes, my niece/nephew did it in 32 mins and me and my younger sister did it in 45 min. My BIL, not sure as he was by himself :rotfl2: I guess we all scattered and left him in the dust.

Jan 8th - This was the day we all left. My family all flew. Edward & I left around 7am to start our drive home. We were planning on doing this in 2 days. Again, I had mixed feelings. I wanted to stay but then I wanted to get home to see my grandfather. Edward parents, SIL, brother all left that day but were stopping in South Carolina. As we were driving along, doing great time we noticed some cars that were pulled over for speeding then BAM!!! we saw another cop car and knew we were busted. So Edward pulled over to the right lane till the cop was behind us, meanwhile we passed another car pulled over. Once the cop came over to us and asked for our info he asked why we were speeding. Edward told him we were trying to keep up with the flow of traffic :rotfl: He asked if we realized that we were doing 86 MPH in a 65 MPH zone?!?! :sad1: After Edward apologized, he asked where we were from and told us to wait. He came back and said that he was going to be nice and down grade our 86 to 80 so that he wouldn't have to come back in April for court. :yay: So in the end our ticket we thought was $171 but once we arrived home we looked at it closely and realized it was only $30!!! :cool1:

So after 18 hours of driving, a speeding ticket and no bad weather we decided to stop. We still had about 14 ish hours left the next day to get home.

Jan. 9th - The drive this day was great. We made good time until we arrived in Canada. A snow storm had hit New Brunswick which slowed us a bit and the roads were not the greatest. But we arrived home by 11:30pm. By the time we brought everything in and went to bed it was 1am and I was getting up for work the next day at 6am. Never again will I do that again. :scared1:

The funny thing that happened to my daughter at the airport was after arriving at the Halifax International Airport at midnight on the 8th she was holding my 18 month old nephew. His mother (my younger sister) said that she would be right behind them, but as Brianna came off the plane and turned around there was nobody there. Not knowing Bri thought she would make her way back on the plane to see where they were. Big mistake!! The guy that was at the gate starting asking Bri "what did you just do?" "WHy would you do that?" Then all of a sudden he started screaming in his walkie talkie thing "Code 9, Code 9" by the time my family came off the plane 3 security guards were running up one said "I think I just lost 5 pounds" as he was huffing and puffing. Then they asked my daughter all these questions. And then said "if you were 16 and not 13 you would be arrested!" Can you imagine. Brianna said they didn't have a sign stating you were not allowed back over. :lmao: now we call her Brianna code 9er.

Here are some pics from our 2nd visit to Universal

It's the ticker from December, just out by a year. I will put in for my vacation this year and hope for a great promotion to come out just in time! We're looking at late September for the start of Food and Wine and the WDW 40th celebrations. Oh nuts, I shouldn't have tipped them off, now they won't offer it since they think I'll book it anyway!:happytv:

OK so I changed the ticker. I'm hoping to start our next holiday September 24th!

And it was nice to see her in a dress since she usually just wears shorts and t-shirt. I am very happy with the colors we choose for the girls dresses. They all looked great.
