Rumor hazzit that it was announced at Karaoke chat last night that Tia and I would be doing our rendition of "Muskrat Love" during the DISCON festivities.
Nothing could be further from the truth. We don't even look like The Captain and Tennille.
We're going to do "Reunited" by Peaches and Herb.
I'm sure you can see the resemblance. :p ;)

Start those braids now Tia :)
Didn't Peaches and Herb also sing "Shake Your Groove Thing"?? :teeth: I'd rather see you two do that one! Yeah-Yeah! :p :p :p :p :p

I'm still looking for a partner for "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart". Or maybe someone to sing "Cruisin'" (ala Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow).
Or perhaps I'll just have to sing Guitarzan or some other Ray Stevens' classic.

Hey John,
You're on if you buy the earplugs for everybody I'll sing with you.
PS the earplugs are for my voice not yours.
I sang that song when I took voice lessons in Junior High. Still know most of the words.
OMG what have I just done. I don't do well getting up in front of people. How could I do this. OMG what have I gotten myself into? OMG!!!!!
I forgot this from last night's chat. Dayna did say that if Steve and Tia won't sing Muskrat Love, maybe she and Frank would! :p :p :p :p
John, if you're looking for a Ray Stevens song what about Everything is Beautiful. I've always like that one. Or for a fun song-The Streak!!!!! :teeth: :teeth:

I was thinking "In The Mood" by the Henhouse Five (plus Two).
Somehow I doubt that they have that selection at Kimono's.
Awwwwww...I missed last night's chat:(

I'm not sure to which Frank Dayna was referring, but this Frank does not sing Muskrat Love under ANY circumstances. Singing such "songs" are definitely beneath his dignity.

 Hi Frank
I agree whole heartedly. How can anyone expect someone who won't wear a festive hat to sing Muskrat Love.
I don't know what these people are thinking.

I thought Muskrat Love was cute!!!!
Muskrat, muskrat candlelight
doin' the town and doin' it right
in the evenin', it's pretty pleasin'
Muskrat Susie, Muskrat Sam
Do the jitterbug
Out in the muskrat land
And they shimmy
And Sammy's so skinny
And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed
Singin' and jinglin' the jango
Floatin' like the heavens above
It looks like muskrat love
Nibblin' on bacon, chewin' on cheese
Sammy says to Susie
"Honey, would you please be my missus?"
And she says yes with her kisses
And now he's ticklin' her fancy
Rubbin' her ties
muzzle to muzzle now
anything goes
as they wiggle
and Sue starts to giggle
And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed
Singin' and jinglin' the jango
Floatin' like the heavens above
It looks like muskrat love
I'm with the rest of you! I'll need to tip a few before I get up there and sing solo or even semi-solo. The safest thing for me is to sing in a LARGE group. :p :p :p
