I am not a first time Disney cruiser, In fact this will be our 3rd cruise. Our first was on the wonder in 08, then the magic in 09, now the magic again in 2011. We love the disney cruise:love:. We were suppose to go in May but life happens and had to change it to April but thats o.k because we are still going:banana:. We are cruising with two children my son will be 14 and my daughter 12, and the inlaws:eek: We are looking forward to a fun relaxing cruise:cool1:.

If anyone needs any info just ask, I think I know a little bit about the cruise. There is also a book called the" Passporter" We have read that book from cover to cover and then again...lol, also the website has a bit of info on it. If you have not ordered the DVD you must, it has loads of info on it also,and best part its free!! You can order it from the website.

Well, we stayed up until midnight last night hoping to get Palo brunch reservations and were a little worried as first timers. We got 'em!

Count us in. We just recently booked as well with the Florida resident rates. It's was originally just me and my five yr old daughter, but now because of the rates my mom and and step dad are coming too, different room of course.

Hubby is about to deploy for a year. he is currently in training and doesn't quite know when he will get some leave. But it is looking like we can go on this cruise! Should be able to book in the enxt two weeks.
I have been reading all of the cruise meets and yes this one is really low on participation.

But if you try to book any time in April all the cruises are full or lowest prices are around 7K for the week, except this one.

I think you (and hopefully I) will get a double benefit, low crowd due to this week falling between the late March spring breaks and the Easter spring breaks PLUS lots of people wanting to try out the Dream!
Whatever I hope ya'll (and me!) have a great not so crowded cruise.

Hello everyone! My family just swapped over to this cruise This is our first Disney cruise and we are so excited! We were booked on the April 10 Dream cruise, but that sailing is sold out and we were a little concerned about the crowds. Our fabulous TA was able to get us changed over to the Magic and we CAN NOT wait!

We are on deck 6. My sweet hubby and I are bringing our little princesses with us as well. Teagan:cutie: is 4 and Tatum:cutie: is 2 and we would love to meet other cruisers with little ones on board!

Hope to get to know you guys better before we sail! We would be very interested in doing a FE as well, so if anyone else is interested let's get that going!

Newbie here. We are booking today. It's crazy booking tho. I waited too long for the FL Res. The inside cabins are gone. :( wah. I have to book 2 rooms since we have 4 kids. I booked the Radisson today. I figured if I was going to pay $105 for parking at the port I might as well pay $149 and spend the night close by and keep our car there. :thumbsup2

So reviewing the online check in in reference to port arrival times.... it says. Select a port arrival time period from the list of available time periods below. "This is when you must arrive at the port to board your vessel. This is not the actual time you will be boarding the ship"

Question isnt the vessel the ship? But it says the vessel where boarding is not the ship?

What happens if you miss the time? Like traffic etc??? Is this so that everyone is not there at the same time..does it really help

Everytime we cruised we left our hotel at 9:00 called a shuttle and got to the port before they opened. We were always usually group 1 or 2. We have older kids so they would just listen to there ipods and chill. Hubby and I were usually tapping our legs itching to get onboard..lol.

Hi everyone! We just booked the 4/9 cruise yesterday. This is our first Disney cruise and I am so excited! I am actually pretty shocked that we were able to get reservations in such short notice. Maybe this does mean that the boat isn't super full :) Either way, I know it will be a blast. We are traveling with our 2 boys (6 and 3) and our daughter (1). This was a surprise trip from my mother in law who will also be cruising with us.

I'll have to look into this Fish Extender idea... sounds fun.

Back to searching the boards and learning all I can about our trip of a lifetime. Oh and I'll also send a request on Facebook.

We just booked along with some friends of ours. Can't beat the FLR rates! This is our 5th Disney Cruise with our kids who will be 5 and 3...they love the Club!!! We've never done the FE exchange but I think we would like to participate how can we find out more about what it is and what to do? Only 40 days to go!

btw, this is our 5th Disney Cruise and 3rd Eastern Caribbean but oddly enough we have never been to St. Maarten so we can share what we've learned about anything except for St. Maarten, we'll have to rely on someone else's expertise! Never done the FE thing either, but I'm sure the kids will like it. Something new for them, though they are fine with the 'same old same old'. My son will sometimes pretend like we are going on the Disney cruise. He's 'pretended' everything from getting to the terminal and going up the escalator, to getting on the boat, eating, going to the club, and sailing away. He seems to remember everything!

The list of excursions is overwhelming. What are the "must do's" in St. Maarten & St. Thomas? My daughter is 5 so that limits some of the activities on the list. Also, is it better to grab a taxi or book the excursion? I saw that the Orient Beach bash is probably out due to the clothing optional thing.

Hi, Kelly! I have little girls who are 2 & 4, so we are in the same situation that you are in! At the St. Martin stop, we are hoping to grab a taxi and head to the beach. We are looking at the Little Divi Beach Resort on Little Bay or Le Galion. I have heard great things about Le Galion, it is really calm and shallow and I have seen it called "baby beach" because it is so good for little ones.

On St. Thomas, we are doing the Coral World by Land and Sea excursion offered by Disney. My girls LOVE aquariums, so we are hoping they will really enjoy that excursion. You might want to check that one out of you guys like that kind of thing!

We were talking about going to Le Galion as well. We live close to the beach here but the water is so pretty there. Still not sure what we're going to do, maybe the beach you can walk to or take water taxi from the boat.

Just thought I would say hello. I was able to get the FL rates on gty. I got my room assignment last week or so - VERY excited. This will be my 4th Disney cruise but 1st 7 day. I don't plan on doing anything but relaxing by the pool or on my verandah. I'm not even sure I'll get off the ship except at CC. :eek:

I'm so glad I found this board. We are on this sailing and had posted to another cruiseing message board and got no response. I was begining to think there was no one on the ship. Just became a member of Disboards TONIGHT and wanted to say "hi" :-)

We booked back in January and got the Fla Resident rate. It is my husband, myself and our 8 yr old daughter. We live a few minutes from Cape Canaveral and always see the ships departing. We're Disney fanatics; passholders at WDW. We recently relocated from San Diego (lived there my whole life) and Disneyland was my second home growing up. We signed up for the FE gift exchange, I am going to Ebay next to order a FE and we're looking into magnets. I feel so behind the curve on this cruise; life has been hectic and we weren't even sure until last week that we were going to make the cruise at all. Seeing all your posts, I was reading them to my husband and I'm excited about the cruise. Since we felt behind on planning, etc... we felt a little ambivalent on it until I logged on here and you all go me fired up. We'd been wanting to go on a cruise (Disney) forever so that's why maybe we're still in disbelief that we're actually going and the rate was so unreal we couldn't pass it up. I just asked to join the FB page and look forward to meeting up with you all. I'm really looking forward to the whole cruise now. I'm so glad I found you all. I think too maybe it was all so overwhelming, what to do, etc....and so I put it off. I wish I had logged on here sooner to get to "know" some of you. We certainly have room at our house and lodging the night prior to departure wouldn't have been a problem but now I have to start making checklists, downloading books on the Kindle, and packing, etc....
