We are staying in Lake Buena Vista and we have a rental car. We are hoping to find some good places to eat and I was wondering what is everyones favorite offsite restaurant in the Orlando Area? Thank you for your help...

The Butcher's Shop, Mercado Centre, International Drive.
Great steaks and everything else! Atmosphere is relaxed and service hard to beat.

For a very casual place we enjoyed Logan's Roadhouse on W. Irlo Bronson Hwy. They have big barrels of peanuts in the shell while you wait. The steak I had was excellent. Don't dress up because this isn't a fancy place - but good food. (Located almost across from Old Town.)

Carrabas on west 192 is always a good bet. Many folks like Bahama Breeze just beyond the Crossroads Plaza.
I like the Melting Pot on Sand Lake Rd. (From Crossroads Plaza intersection take a left to Palm Parkway where you'll take a right. Follow the road (which becomes Turkey Lake) until it intersects with Sand Lake where you will take a left on Sand Lake. The restaurant is just down the road on the right in a strip mall).
There is a wonderful Indian Restaurant in the K-Mart mall on Turkey Lake. Memories of India. Small but lovely with a very extensive menu!
Have fun!

I know that this will sound funny, because it is a chain restaurant, but we thoroughly enjoyed going to TGIFridays up on 192. We had a great waitress who gave us all of the puzzles, etc to do while we waited. The food was great, as were the Margaritas! Since we are planning to move to Clermont, which is out that way, we were thrilled to find a familiar restaurant, with good food and service so nearby. It was about 15 minutes from the Disney parks.

another vote for Bahama Breeze...it is a great, fun place. Thank goodness they built two near Dallas and now we can spend *that* money on something else when we're in Orlando.

If you're willing to spend a couple dollars....Key W Kools.
It's on 192 on the right going towards Kissimee, very near WDW drive.
There's nothin like ribs and steak cooked over an open oak pit fire. We had steak and seafood there, and it was all delicious.
The Atmosphere is nice, designed to feel like you're in an outdoor french courtyard.
(FYI: The check for 4 adults was over $125)
