Oddly enough, my mom and I ordered pizza tonight. Neither of us felt like cooking and Dad was at class :lmao: We got one with sausage, onion, and green peppers for them (I hate peppers, they make me sick to my stomach), and a pepperoni and sausage for me.

It's just a small notebook about the size of a diary. I'll be posting pics of it once I'm done putting my stuff in it. I was going to bring something about this size to take notes on the trip anyway, so this just makes sense :)

So my laptop is irreparably damaged. It fell off of my bed last night while I was putting laundry away (my foot got caught in the cord and I accidentally yanked it off the bed). I'll be able to get on with my iPod (provided that AT&T fixes our internet, which has been down since 9pm last night) and at work, but aside from that, I won't be around much, if at all. :grouphug: I'll be getting a new laptop probably a week after I come back from Disney.

When I have more time (aka when I get home) I'll tell you guys more, if I can remember...but one really funny thing. Marty Sklar got a real Diss on Michael Eisner. Tony Baxter was talking about Star Tours and how they had started on negotiations with George Lucas when there was a regime change. Michael Eisner came to the table of "what was going on in the theme parks" fully acknowledging that he knew nothing about amusement parks so he brought his 14 year old son along to be the target demographic. As Tony was describing something about the meeting, Marty got in this jab, "At least he knew to bring someone who was an expert." or something to that effect...the whole audience broke up!

The Disney historian guy was hilarious too...he got in a few comments, and not sure if you know anything about California politics, but we have this woman candidate for Governernor, Meg Whitman, claim to fame CEO of eBay, and very right wing Republican...he made a big jab at her, though what he said exactly escapes me, but the whole audience made one of those kind of "whoa" noises, that sort of "we pretty much agree, but can't believe you said that here in a public forum!" :lmao:

Well so I don't know what happened with the DISmeet, I guess the gal who set it up way too last minute decided not to show up. But I went down to the lounge since I'm staying at the hotel and ordered a cocktail...I got a little pissed because these two ladies took the table I was eyeing while the bartender was bringing me my cocktail, but I found another table and patiently sipped my drink. The gentleman at the table next to me was alone and eventually asked me about the concert (and I had already noticed that the women who had annoyed me by taking my table, that one was one of the original mouseketeers on the panel today.) I asked if it was OK for me to scoot up to his table and he welcomed me.

It didn't take long for the two of us to strike up a conversation with "Doreen" (an original mousketeer) and her friend. While I never saw the show, it was really fun to talk with her one on one about all sorts of stuff, she shared some impressions of Walt (though they saw him less than you would like to believe) and the Disney parks, and actually was interested in our views as fans. It was a really fun evening to sit and chat with a celebrity who was just a real person. I know most of them are, but its rare that we get that side of them!

Did I tell you I went to the Aussie Rule Grand Final parade on Friday? This parade is a yearly thing where the 2 teams get to sit on a cavalcade car so that they can wave and smile at the public. This year, they estimated approx 100,000 people went to the parade.

I took this shot when I was there. This is one of my favourite poster boys from the Aussie Rules Football code. His name is Lenny Hayes and he plays for a team called St Kilda Saints.

Getting tired (since we were up early every day for the past week and a half), the furbabies have gone back in the bedroom. My Sunny has wedged herself inbetween some pillows on the bed and is waiting for us. I think it's too cold for her out here, it was over 100 degrees today so I turned on the air conditioning. Ours doesn't work really good, so I'm not that cold, but it's still warm outside so I don't want to turn it off. Fran will have me turn it off shortly and then we will start to bake again...

I'm at work, actually :) Another two hours and twenty minutes and then I'm off. My appointment isn't until 10:30 (it's 4:40 now, I get off at 7), but I'm just going to go up to the locker room and read or play a game on my iPod. The dentist office is closer to my work than my house (home's in the opposite direction), so I don't see the point in going home just to turn around and come right back.

And yes, the iPod is working :) I found this cute little game the other day where you collect and breed frogs :lmao:

It's fun :) The frogs start off as little eggs that grow to larger eggs, then change to tiny frogs that grow to larger frogs. And they "breed" by jumping onto another frog, which cracks me up.

Yeah. My computer geek of a husband says that I should have the games backed up on the iTunes store on my PC and failing that, I can download them again without having to pay for them again.

Oh well, I've lost my coffee shop finder app; the food guide; about 20 games; white pages; yellow pages and a couple more that I can't remember. But that's okay. My contacts list and calendar items are all still there. I would be a screaming mess by now if I lost those!!

I got the iphone at Christmas. I was contracting in the major Telecommunications company in Oz for over 8 years....and one of my friends asked if I wanted to go on his account as a friend. There was a really good staff offer for Christmas and they were giving back $150 credit on your bill for Christmas. And the staff offer is a very good deal (I should know.....I launched that offer :rotfl2:). So I jumped at the opportunity and managed to get DH the same deal.

The Apple deal with AT&T should be terminating soon? I can't see Apple wanting that arrangement to continue...

Fran has not been getting the pain medication that she needs, so when I went to see her this evening she was in a lot of pain. Instead of giving her a morphine drip, they wrote in her chart that she could have Dilaudid, but the nurses have to adminster that. It was much better when she had the drip because she could press a button and get a dose. I hope that they fix it because she is not a good person when her pain is not managed!

Enforced diet!

I've decided that I want to get serious about losing about 2 - 4 lbs before heading to WDW. So, today I had bircher muesli for breakfast, coffee (no sugar), sushi rolls for lunch and some noodles for dinner. I had 2 pieces of fruit in between the main meals.

I'm going to stick to a smaller portions, healthy snacks and low fat food for the next 3 - 4 weeks. :thumbsup2

I got really hungry after taking the vicodin, so I made egg in a basket for myself, then my parents got up, so I made some for them, too :) I've been trying to watch what I'm eating, which isn't hard when I've just had a tooth pulled :lmao: I can't exercise for a few days, dentist's orders, but I plan on getting back to it once it's a little more healed up. I really want to start doing the wii active again.

Yeah. Now that the weather is starting to get warmer, my bicycle is calling me again. Thankfully DS goes back to school next week (did I tell you that it's school holidays here??) and I can aim to start cycling on Mondays and Thursdays again.
