View Full Version : 2 more days and I'm outta here!

DH and I always go to Rocky Mountain National Park (Estes Park) over Labor Day. We barley have time but we go anyway. We leave Saturday night and stay in Colby KS, then on to Estes the next day. By Saturday I'll be in the mountains at 10,000'! I can't wait. Of course we have to drive all the way across Kansas on Monday. Yuck.

My mom, who just found out her breast cancer has come back, might go with us if she feels up to it. We also usually take my DSIL but she can't make it. Oh well, there is always next time!

Sonya, I remembering driving I-70 across Kansas many times...it is the STRAIGHTEST and most BORING drive in the country, I think! :)

Enjoy, Sonya, and do hope mom is able to join you guys. It would be great for her I bet. Are there any kaki gori stands in Kansas? :teeth:

WM Michelle- YES! Going it's OK b/c you are excited but coming home is dreadful.
LOL Dan, I don't think so. I'm hoping there will be in the mountains, I believe it's called SNOW! I'll bring some syrup with me!;)
