Hi Everyone,

I am mainly a lurker but need some help.

I am heading to the world next week and trying to figure out where to stand to take parade photos with my Canon Rebel. In the past I watched parades from Frontierland as it has less people and I just had a PnS then. So I am just curious on where people actually stand for the night parade and the Halloween Parade in particular.

Thanks
Ashley

I like Main Street just because I like having castle or the buildings on Main Street in the background. As you might guess, that requires staking your spot out early.

I would also consider the lighting. They set up spot lights at various points along the parade route. Depending on whether you are using a flash, it can be really helpful to have that extra lighting. Our first night at MNSSHP last year, we got to the parade late and ended up right across from some construction walls. I really didn't like that in my photos, so we got to the parade early our second night and staked out a nice spot on the hub.

Have fun. It's an awesome parade.

And remember the Headless Horseman rides 10-15 minutes ahead of the rest of the parade! :thumbsup2
