Well hi, my name is Brittany and my fiance's name is Chris. We both love Disney and even before getting engaged knew that we wanted to get married there. A big wedding has never been what either of us has wanted, so it works out well for both of us. Ever since I have found this wedbiste, I have been obsessed with it! So, I decided to start my own PJ.

Chris and I have been together for almost 3 years and plan on getting married on October 12, 2011 (our 4th year anniversary). Our first vacation together was a Disney land and sea vacation cruise. I wanted to go on a cruise and he wanted to go to the parks, so we compromised and we LOVED it! We went in DEC 2009 and after we came home decided to plan another trip to WDW in May 2010, since my birthday is May 10. So we arrived on May 9 and had a great day at Epcot and MK, after we had dinner at Tonys we went to get a picture in front of the castle and much to my suprise, he got down on one knee! I knew this was coming, since he did take me ring shopping months ago (and I wasn't patiently waiting either, I nagged him everyday about when he was going to propsed), but I was still shocked and thrilled. After a few minutes of OMG, he said, well?!?! and of course I said yes! Come to find out, he invited my best friend and her mom who I am very close with to come down and suprise me and bring the ring (they told me they were going to NYC for the weekend). So many suprises in 5 minutes! It was the best night of my life, until our wedding that is.

Anyways, I tend to ramble, we want to have an escape wedding, since we have limited money and are just inviting close family. I fell in love with SBP and can not wait until Feburary when we can book the wedding. I'm nervous about getting my date and location, since I already have my heart set on them, but hopefully everything with work out. The waiting sucks, but I have gotten so many ideas from this forum and love reading everything about everyone elses weddings!

Since I have ramlbed on forever, and have no clue if anyone will actually read this, I will stop now and write later!!:yay:

Congratz! and yes people will actually read your PJ. I just did. :) Btw you sound like I did. After we picked out my ring I drove him crazy nagging about the ring and the response was soon. When he proposed in front of the castle he started it off with well now is soon. :lmao: And I myself didn't give him an answer until he was like well you haven't said yes yet.

Hmm guess I can ramble as well. Anyways...I hope you get your date and the place you have your heart set on. :goodvibes Looking forward to hearing more.

Yay, thanks everyone for reading, that makes me so excited!!!!:dance3: 2nd time bride, that's awesome that your getting married on oct 12!

FutureMrs.B, when I saw your post I had to show chris and said, see I'm not the only one who nagged, haha!

Anyways, so far I am not allowed to book til Feburay 12, but my best friend/MOH has called DFTW and got a bunch of info e-mailed to us. I have also e-mailed Pam and she has "penciled us in" so that's my progress so far.

From this website I have started to make boarding pass save the dates and can post them up here once I learn how and am trying to decide what I want to do for welcome bags since there are so many good ideas on here. I don't want to wait til the 8 month mark and then have everything pile in my face and I freak out.

As I said, I really want SBP, haven't decided on a time, either 10 or 530. And we think we want to go to Tony's in MK for dinner after since that's where we were eating before we got engaged. We really wanted a personalized menu so it could be prepaid and more like a real reception (like having 3 choices on the menu type thing), from what I hear that doesn't seem possible and through DFTW we would have to spend minimum $7500 and don't know if we can swing that.

We want to upgrade to a 2 tierd mad hatter cake and have been drawing what we may want with ideas from this site. At first we wanted red, black and white, but now we think we might want red, light blue, and white. Bc I want red roses for my bouquet.

As for my dress, me and Chris went shopping at DB with no intention of buying, but just for fun. I ended up loving a dress and buying it ( I know, really early, but the sales ladt talked me into it). Anyways, I love it and got a viel and flower for my hair to match. here is the link for my dress http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Chiffon-A-line-with-Sweetheart-Beaded-Lace-Bodice-WG9830_Bridal-Gowns-Features-All-Gowns

I got the dress in ivory though, not white. also, I really really really want either red or blue shoes, chris wants me to have blue, but I can't make up my mind, they can't be too tall either, since we are almost the same height!

We are only having a best man (Chris' brother) and a MOH (my best friend) and we have 18 guests (the max), a few might not come, but I'm sure most will. We already know we want to go on a disney cruise for our honeymoon and the one we want to go on leaves Oct 15, which is perfect, so we will arrive on Oct 10, getting married on the 12, and leave on the 15 for our honeymoon for 7 days. Talk about wedding extravganza! I'm sooooooooo excited. Time can't go fast enough.

We also are hiring Randy Chapman for our photographer bc we love him and disney's upgrade are crazy expensive.

I really have no life, so I'll probably be on here all the time! So I'll be happy to hear from everyone!!! :surfweb::rotfl:

Thanks everybody!

Wendy- after you posted I stalked your PJ and I love it! Your wedding looked amazing! I also love your photo album and can't wait to show Chris to tell him that's what I want to do! It's great! Also, as my back up plan, I was thinking of having ther ceremony at WP but figured it would cost a bundle to decorate, your pics have showed me that it still looks beautiful without all the crazy things people do to decorate! I think I prefer it how you did it!

Athenna- hope you get the date you want! I love Oct. too. even though FL doesn't have the fall weather like CT (fall is my fav season)

Lulu- I LOVE the boardwalk. I really wanted to stay there for the wedding, but it's wayyyy out of our budget, but I have fallen in love with that area!

Since I started my PJ, I started to look at others and what I have come to find is that a lot of people who have done welcome bags have said they wished they didn't spend so much time on them, so now I am contemplating not doing them.... :upsidedow

Thanks so much:hug: Yes, I am in MA, and for the most part CT, and MA have the same type of weather. Oct in FL can be tricky, as I'm sure you know. My fiance's first trip in '06, the first day had a heat index of 105 degrees:scared1:...Same trip 3 days later it was 45 degrees @ MNSSHP:rotfl:
I'll cross my fingers for somewhere in the middle for your wedding (and hopefully mine).

orlando weather can be tricky.. all you can do is hope your day is beautiful. :goodvibes

I picked up my wedding dress today!! Since only chris and I went and picked out and bought the dress, I had my mom, grandma, sister, FMIL and FSIL all come pick it up with me. Everyone loved it. I evevn tried it on for my FFIL when we got home, he loved it too! I know I have a long time until the wedding, but I really love it. So now it's hanging in my future inlaws closet, so my puppy can't eat it, haha.

Wow you're on a roll. Good for you. Less for you to stress about later on. At least that's what I'm trying to tell myself. :rotfl: We also have hired Randy. We're doing the photography and videography package. Can't beat it especially compared to Disney prices. hehe

Future Mrs.B, randy has great prices and that's the real reason we picked him, I looked into most of the photgraphers that are mentioned on this site and they are just as expensive as disney. I am a little wedding obsessed, lol, so that's probably why I'm on a roll.

Can't wait til Feb. when we can actually book this and I can feel like I'm actually having a wedding and not just fantasizing. Anyways, I'm having trouble picking our "reception" site, my fiance really wanted to eat at Tonys in MK, but I can't wear my dress and that's starting to make me upset. Also, I really really want pics in front of a monorail in our wedding attire. I know all the resturants that people recommend but my family and I are extremely picky when it comes to food. I don't eat really anything besides pasta, chicken, and chocolate :rotfl: so I'm finding it hard to pick a place where I would actually be able to eat something.... hmmm.

Besides that we decided to make STDs shaped like luggage and include a newsletter in the shape of boarding passes. We think this is a cool idea since we aren't doing formal invites since the only people coming are our close family. We have been starting to look into making these, knowing that it will be a lot of work, hopefully Thursday we will make a trial one and see how it works. Also, I said if we were doing this, we would need a sticker maker, and he agreed, so I'm super excited about making stickers, haha.

I agree about Randy's prices. I did the same thing. Besides when I spoke with him on the phone he was really nice. I'm happy with my choice. :) I'm also much like you feeling restless until it's official. :sad2:

I also luv your STD idea along with the newsletter. It sounds like they're going to come out really cute. :flower3:

So, Chris and I have been talking about the wedding and I was saying that I was upset bc we aren't doing any cool disney things, bc he doesn't want a dessert party or a catered evetn by DFTW, we are just having a normal reservation at Tonys in MK. So, he said we could either have Mickey and Minnie come to the wedding OR we can do a MK/HS photo shoot. He says he prefers the photoshoot and I think I might be leaning that way too. I would do it the morning of the wedding and I want a 10 am ceremony. I'm kind of nervous bc I don't know if my hair and make up will stay nice throughout the whole morning. Also, I know the photo shoots are are 5 and 6, I would prefer 6 since we are far from morning people, but I wonder if that would be cutting it too close to the 10 am ceremony. Also, that kind of kills my getting ready pics bc no one will be up at that time, I don't really care about those pics since we will have so many others, especially with the photo shoot, so I guess that would be fine, I just want to look my best for the ceremony. Also, does the photoshoots come with a DVD, or you do have to purchase that seperately? That just gives me lots to think about...

Other than that I keep flip flopping on colors and flowers, I donno what colors I want and I like gerber daisies but chris wants me to have roses, so many choices it's hard to decide..

Personally, I think the photo shoot is a great choice, you will have the pics forever! We are going to have the MK/Epcot photo shoot and it did not come with the DVD. So, we upgraded the ceremony to the Cinderella D package (which comes with the DVD) and Rosie assured us ALL our wedding pics would then be on that single DVD.

Were you able to book the day of your wedding for the photo shoot? We weren't and had to book the day after our wedding, so hair and makeup is coming out twice. Oh well, at least we got the day after so I don't need a bouquet refresh!! :)

We haven't booked our wedding yet, we aren't allowed to untilk Febuary, so I didn't even really consider not getting our wedding date, so I guess we will have to wait and see, we aren't really morning people, so we thought it would be easier just to get everything done in one day. but, we were pretty set on going with an outside photographer, how much did it cost to upgrade and get the DVD? If you don't mind me asking.

The upgrade to the Cinderella D package was $750 and then the MK/Epcot photo shoot was $1400. With tax the photography add on came to $2,289.75. :scared1:

The only floral refresh we are getting is DF's (well he will be DH then!) boutonnière. He will take his jacket off after the ceremony and the original one will most likely get squished. It was only $18 for the second boutonnière.

I forgot you are so far out, since you are at the same time of year (exactly!!) that we are, this might apply - I was not asked which time I prefer, we were just given 6am. We are not morning people either, so I am going to call room service and order a full pot of coffee for each of us that morning! :rotfl:

It is probably one of the most beautiful places ever, I love the boardwalk too, a little out of our budget to stay though, haha. I have looked through your PJ and saw your pics on Randy's site, your wedding looked very beautiful!!! Thanks! I hope I get my date too. fingers crossed (for 4 more months).

Thanks so much for the help! That is a lot of money for photogragphy. We now are torn, bc we were going to hire Randy (he said he would hold our date until we were sure what we were going to do) but if we are doing the bridal shoot it would just be cheaper to use disney throughout the whole day. I have heard some not nice things about disney photograhy, so I am looking forward to seeing your pics and hearing your reviews. Also, now I'm thinking it might be too much to spend on photos, so I donno. But your wedding is so close, you must be thrilled!!!! That's very exciting! Hope all the last minute planning is going good! :goodvibes

I haven't posted on here in forever. Not much happens since I can't book until Feb. But anyways, we were thrilled to hear about the 20% off escape packages, bc that will help us so much, as long as we get our day and time. We were on the fence about mickey and minnie and or a bridal shoot but now with the savings we decided we can do one! So, our plan is, if we can get an MK photo shoot the morning of the wedding we will do that. The reason I want it on the morning of is because we don't like getting up early, so getting it all done in one day will be great, since our ceremony is at 10 a.m. Also it saves money with floral and hair and make up. If we can't get it on our wedding day, we will have mickey and minnie.

Also, I am having second thoughts about my dress. I got it at DB and am fuzzy on the exchange policy, since everyone tells me a diff answer, so I'm not sure what to do. I feel like I rushed into getting a dress and I'm not sure now if it's what I want. On the other hand, Chris is in love with the dress and doesn't want me to change it. So I feel kinda stuck.

Also, we got save the dates from vistaprints.com, we just got business cards bc they were free, we got them in today, BUT guess what it doesn't have on them.... THE DATE! Whos makes a save the DATE without the DATE on them.... yea that's me. I was dissapointed, but on the other hand they were free, and only 5 bucks for shipping, so I guess we will have to do it again. I was just so excited to get them in and then they were messed up and I feel weird about my dress and I'm really anxious for it to be febuary. So i've been having a little of wedding stress.
